Great review. I am glad you called out the Hardwood/Tile and Carpet conundrum. I currently have a Ecovacs N8+ pro that has the same problem with removing or attaching a mopping plate. I am getting a bit tired of having to send the N8+ out multiple times taking off and adding the mopping plate each time. I want to be able to send out the robot out and not have to worry about what accessory I need to attach. Looks like the only option I have is to get the RoboRock S7 Max V which lifts the plate up when going over low pile rug/carpets (which I have).

great review...very thorough...I purchased one to replace my old iRobot but haven't received it yet...do you have it scheduled to mop everyday? I am thinking to leave out the mop pads for everyday scheduled cleanup and manually attach the mop on a Saturday/Sunday (once per week)...mostly have dog hair issue (golden retriever).
You can set the schedule to anything you’d like, the day and time. I have mine scheduled to clean 3x per week at 12pm. It would be good for per hair. My only gripe is that you need to switch off the mop pads if you want to vacuum. It’s best for floors with limited to no carpets.
Basically if I have mostly hard floors and a rug in my house. I don’t have the option it should vacuum the rug and wash and vacuum the hard floors?
No, this model is primarily mopping, so you'd either have to lift up the carpet and work around it completely, or mark it as a no-go area.
W10 has ultrasonic sensor for carpet detection. It will no go over carpets if mops are installed. Roborock s7 maxvv ultra.. will lift the mop on carpets
So, I see that the mop self cleans, but where does the vacuumed items empty to?
You've still got to empty that yourself :(
Where is the empty bag? And how long we should change it?
No self-empty for dry waste container. Roidmi eva is having that function.

Is the app any good? Looks like they use Xiaomi app somehow which is odd. It is safe to install right?
Yeh, the Mi Home app is surprisingly good, it's used for a ton of non-Xiaomi smart home stuff nowadays.
If I’m not mistaken, Dreamebot is a subsidiary of Xiaomi which is why they use the same app and have many of the same features. App has lots of customization and settings. It’s been reliable and easy to use.

It’s a very premium setup. Although vacuums aren’t the most exciting to review, it has me excited for the future of smart tech. This is one of the only recent vacuums that has actually done something innovative enough.
