My #1 reason for not being Eastern Orthodox (besides the fact that I find its online iteration extremely repugnant) is this: The Catholic Church evangelized the entire world, thereby obeying the Great Commission. The Eastern Orthodox didn't. St John describes "a great throng, which no man could number, from *every* nation, tribe, and tongue." This perfectly describes the Catholic Church. It does not describe either Orthodoxy or Protestantism.

I had to comment because this is an overlooked point and one of the reasons I'm not Orthodox or protestant. Bashing other members of the body of Christ seems not only wrong but contrary to the goal when there are still so many who aren't even saved into the faith yet.
If that's your reasoning for choosing Catholicism over Orthodoxy, then by that logic, you would've been a Nestorian between the 9th and 14th centuries, since the Church of the East (Nestorians) was the world's largest church in both numbers and geographical extent, spreading the gospel to unimaginable parts of the world. Sunni Islam has 1.7 billion followers vs Catholicisms 1.3 billion, does that mean we should all become Sunni Islam? Also, just like islam, Catholicism spread by the sword 🗡️ ⚔️ 🩸☠️, especially in all the former French, Spainish and Portuguese colonies. William I’m a former Protestant currently in RCIA. I know I need to be in an Apostolic Church and have been split down the middle between Catholicism and Orthodoxy. The Catholic Church I attend is a Novus Ordo but the community is a little older so there is strange going in there. I attended an Orthodox Church for almost a year and the only thing that prevented me from continuing was the distance. There is no doubt in my mind God is in the Orthodox Church. One of the things I appreciate about the Catholic Church is the daily Mass which allows me to attend 3-4 times a week if I’m out of work in time but there is no comparison in the Mass and the Divine Liturgy of the Orthodox Church. The “Bishop of Rome” document that just released 3-4 weeks ago seemed to concede many points to the Orthodox validating their Synodal structures and sacraments. This was definitely conflicting with Vatican 1 if I’m reading it correctly. The thing with the Orthodox is they know man errors and can live with Bishop mistakes where Rome does not give its self much room for error. What an I supposed to think when I’m being taught one thing but the Church is putting out contradictory information? I just want to be in an Apostolic Church, receive the Eucharist and worship God in Liturgical form.
I love both churches and won't bash either of them, which is actually one of the reasons I went with the Catholic Church. It seemed like the orthodox church I enquired with and visited, wanted me to be anti- Catholic, and I couldn't, in all honesty, do that to her. Their priest also gave me a lot of reasons why he thought I might not want to join their church, none of which had to do with theology. The Catholic priest I met with, asked if I would like to do RCIA classes with him, I said yes, ended up being baptised, and confirmed this Easter vigil 🤍 ✝️

Paying attention must be a tough thing, brother. Magisterial Reformers weren't around when EO bent the knee to Calvinism. Context is really key, brother.
Which EO scholars do you respect?
Ramsey, Cleenewerck, Pino, John d., bucur
Another Catholic UA-camr with no issue trying to bring up issues with other churches but is weirdly silent about being lead by a heretical pope.
Y-h-v-h is God
The problem is the church is on apostasy we must obey the Catholic faith
You alone can judge the Holy See and find it guilty of Apostasy? Interesting.
Why are they apostolic yet they are not with Peter?
Schism
They have Apostolic Succession because their bishops can trace their lineage to the Apostles, therefore they do have valid orders.
However, because they are in schism, they have forfeited their ability to carry out the ministry of the Church because they lack Jurisdiction, as they have forfeited the power of the keys because of their schism.
The Orthodox Church of Antioch traces their lineage to Peter

Show me one document from tradition or Ecumenical council where your heretical ecclesiological terminology of Autokefali was used and defined. Its nowhere. Your heretical sect invented this heresy of National Autocephalous sects.
The Alexandrian document? 😆😆
Of course the Vatican II sect loves you heretics.

The See of Constantinople didn't even exist at the time of the council of Nicaea in 325. 😄😄
Your schismatic "Ecumenical Patriarch" of Constantinople wasn't even a Patriarchal See until Chalcedon in 451 AD.

Cope, the livestream.😆
@@andrewg37 You can't blame anyone else for your choices.
I love it when Orthobros like you still act like brain dead evangelicals and manifest
if you actually had love in your heart you would pray for the Conversion of heretical Christians
Instead you are treating Orthodoxy like a football team.
