You can shift directly to 2nd gear from the 1st gear no need to put it on neutral then on 2nd, and don’t coast on neutral when stopping, learn how to do rev matching, downshifts and engine brake. That’s the thrill of driving a manual transmission.
rev matching for what its daily driving you don't need to rev match to daily drive dawg... thats racing applications... why would you brake on a 5000$ + drive train when brakepads are 50$ are u braindamage?
@@Bangerboy985 where did you learn that rev matching is only for racing application?
Personally I rather coast in neutral to a stop and wear the brakes than wear the trans and clutch
holding the clutch in neutral is just adding wear to your throwout bearing for practically no reason.
i dont even drive a manual and i know that lmao, how do people still not know this
This is how they teach people to drive in city traffic in a lot of the world.
@@mckendrick7672 Because of city traffic I don't think I could drive a manual here. Shit is a whole process in of itself 😂

You should definitely not hold ur clutch if ur in neutral
exactly there is no reason to go into neutral here, if you come to a full stop just go to first while holding the brake and clutch.
@@bIakeee nah I think it's because when you press clutch you go neutral and then you shift the gear from 1 st to second
@@siddhanthbansal5578 Wait what? Have you ever driven a manual car? What do you mean shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear, he's in neutral bruv and the point is you don't have to keep the clutch pressed when in neutral. If you want to press down on the clutch you might as well switch to the 1st gear and wait rather than be in neutral.
@@bryanross421he’s saying the on screen display reads clutch in as neutral. That’s why you see it go from 1st to Neutral then 2nd. He was probably never in neutral at any point in the video
A lot of comments seem to be preoccupied with the whole barefoot thing, but I actually have manual car and two automatics, and I always drive the manual barefoot for some reason. I think it just feels more 'controlled'. Glad I'm not the only one!
Put dem grippers away bruh💀💀💀

I remember trying to learn how to drive my uncle's manual truck when I was a teen (left to us when he passed away). My biggest problem was accelerating after coming to a stop. Everyone kept telling me to push a little on the accelerator and then let up on the clutch. But I often times just stalled when I did it. I couldn't figure out if I was pushing too much or not enough. The entire time I was told to be careful so I don't damage the transmission, so I was nervous I was going to destroy something.
@@fuzbeek I never got to figure that out. I was going to school soon and needed a way to get there. I didn't have time to learn to drive a manual, so I had to drive an automatic. I've driven an automatic ever since.
@@nimarus3118 i drove yesterday and i just figured out the solution, sucks that you didn’t get a chance to, all you had to do was hold in the clutch and brake and then slowly release the clutch and at a certain point halfway up the car will roll which is the biting point, that’s where youre supposed to accelerate from, not the bottom
@@fuzbeek The fact that you came bac with a solution has saved lives... All of mine for damn sure. 😤😂
After this video I have the sudden urge to put socks on…🤔
Helps out way more when he barefoot
You dont need to put it in neutral everytime you come to a short stop. Only do it in jams and stoplights
Just go into neutral. Give the throw out bearing a break don’t always have jt pushed down
He got the pigs out
that came in clutch
Now try it in Nike slides 💀
I didn’t learn shit!
I got a manual Mini Cooper, it was advertised as an automatic and I was like “damn, it’s got a subwoofer and a backup camera and got all the mods I want” but I saw 3 pedals in the pics and decided that I would learn manual given all the upgrades. Never looked back. Can’t imagine driving an automatic, especially a Mini Cooper or sports car. It’s like a little Go-Kart
You dont need to hold in the clutch while waiting in neutral😅
The video is sped up. Hes sitting in traffic for atleast 15 seconds. If you do that your clutch release bearing will be toasted in no time.
Bro had the dogs out for the video is crazy
Thank you! Short but really effective
Bro got the grippers out
this video made me realize that driving is one of the only activities humans do with our feet (besides walk)
With DSG, I do not miss that clutch pedal.
" *break* "
“Neutral” just easier 😎
This guys a menace. No shoes😮
Ques there still lots to learn , meaning clutch for upshift only , no need for clutch for gear to neutral, its about how to handle drag / power position of engine
this makes it easier see cause there shoes u can’t tell if they moved there foot
This has convinced me to keep my auto
This is exactly what I need
My DL suddenly upgraded to manual after watching this
I actually drive in my socks when I'm in a Manual car. Just feels better for some reason. 😂
The dawgs is OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂
Ain't no way this is the actual foot cam footage with that throttle in that traffic.
im just vibing

@@Smartfellaorafartsmella might have clothes on but no shoes. Still cool though
Isn't it illegal to drive naked?
No, because your vehicle, considered to be private property, acts as your clothing and therefore you are not committing indecent exposure.
I wish i would not forget it later . I WILL TRY
Dang it’s like dancing step. But I need to learn it 😮😮
Put your shoes on bro
So it is just like my motorcycle 😮😮😮😮😮
Barefoot... This guy is a savage.
That’s how we all started😂😂😂
When stopping brake first then when almost stopped the clutch. If you push the clutch down early as in this video, you are disengaging the engine and free wheeling with no control. Brake then clutch when stopping.
After watching this video i was able to fly a plane
looks easy huh! thanks
Do not hold down the clutch when you are in neutral
Not sure why he was holding clutch on neutral but oh well 🤷🏻♂️
Oh that's it? That's wayyyy simpler than I thought it'd be 😅
Nah too much work 😂 I like 1foot free for tapping to the bass and 1 hand free for giving out the bird 🤣🤣🤣
All fun and games until you're in a 2 hour long traffic jam when on holidays/going to work, and you wish you had an automatic transmission
You made me stare at your dogs just to learn manual.
"I don't have three feet"
Bro put some dam shoes on and put them dogs away
In the car I learned to drive and the one I drive now I can’t lift the clutch that fast when shifting into 2nd. The car jolts and is a horrible feeling. I need to lift the clutch as slowly as I would when lifting it from the bite point.
Brake first then clutch. Bad video
This was in my for you page and the only reason i clicked on jt was bc his daws were out 💀
I currently drive a manual car and lmao thank god I don’t live in a big city 😅
It’s not that bad once you get the muscle memory down for the clutch release point and your gas your adding..
Most peoples mistakes come from lifting off the clutch hella fast making it jerk, if your new it’s worth a clutch or two to just learn how to drive it first and just hold the clutch in and slowly release it to downshift sometimes since that’s technically the clutches job after all..
don’t worry about rev matching or burnouts until you’ve mastered day to day activities imo
Yeah, every car I have owned has been a stick (aside from a truck I got a few years back, but I still also have my second vehicle with a stick), and I’ll admit that I dreaded when I had to work in the city every couple of years for a week or two. Driving home each night was torture.
@@F16_viper_pilot oh yeah daily driving a Honda accord cd5 right now and I have to play with the revs a little to get it to go definitely not like these modern cars that just roll forward for you when you release the clutch haha
If your looking for an easy to drive manual that’s basically made for new drivers it even rev matches for you is the 2017-2019 Toyota Corolla haha only 2k were brought over to the U.S with a 6mt but they drive themselves practically
The first time I drove an automatic I almost crashed it. The muscle memory of my left foot almost had me flying through the windscreen. It didnt help that the brake pedal was so huge either
@@GatsbyDen041 had a 2019 a3 I was test driving and I put it in "manual mode" then forgot I put it back in auto mode and bumped it straight into neutral flooring it on the hwy lmao the salesguy didn't think it was as funny as I did tho and made me turn around lol

Downshift and don’t coast in neutral especially if it’s an older vehicle. If that shit gets stuck you fucked
The 60hp car again💀💀
And I am trying to learn how to drive stick shift but is a bit hard .u have to learn how to keep on shifting the gears and remember to move your to feet’s .instead of one ☝️ foot 😂😅.and to learn how to park it and 😮💨😪😤😭😂
I learned and took my driving test on a stick, and I agree that it can be a bit challenging to learn (such as 1st gear to 2nd gear transitions and especially standing starts on steep hills). That being said, for the past 4+ decades every car I purchased had to have a stick, and when I occasionally drove an automatic, I’d sometimes forget and my foot would automatically start searching for the clutch. I only recently purchased a truck that has an automatic, but I still have a sportscar with a stick and love driving it. Hang in there, you can do it! As a side note, because so few people drive stick these days, they are considered to be a theft deterrent.😁👍🏻
Guys it’s not break or brake it’s Drake😂
Don't ask him where he tied his camera to.
He’s got cute feet 😂😂😂
better to down shift than to put it on neutral.
Beautiful works
BREAK? Credibility shot. 😅
Let the clutch out in neutral the throw out bearing is screaming
Again, wrong. You shouldn't hold the clutch this way. If you want to brake while in neutral (as shown, also it's wrong), just press clutch, shift to neutral and release the clutch.
Stopped for 3 secs only so can't we just use 1st gear with brake and clutch
Actually, I did drive barefoot but for a short distance 😂
This is exactly the reason why manuals were cheaper than automatics and another reason why manuals are soon to be phased out. They could be fun to drive at first but in traffic it’s ridiculous and parking uphill or downhill is ridiculous. The trade-off for the amount of work you have to do is just not worth it.
I'm taking my shoe's off while driving everyday
Why would anyone want to drive a car like this. Like I’m genuinely confused why someone would want to make the thing that can take lives instantly, cost thousands if mishandled, and literally gets you from place to place everyday harder? Do you like the extra amount of effort you have to exert everyday?
Saves gas and brake maintenance. The transmission lasts a lot longer than an automatic.
You dont know what you missing. If you know how to drive it but more importantly race it then its the most fun thing you can do. Robot to robot, that quick footwork to change gears! Its way more fun than just holding the steering wheel and pressing one pedal.
Super
But I got to say pretty cool car 🚗 u got .enjoy it 😎😜🤜🏾
My car doesn't have a "break" pedal.
Clutch killer
“Brakes”
Now we know who let the dogs out
no, in crowded or busy traffic, using m/t make your foot tired, also burn the coupling transmission, better using a/t or cvt
I learned stick by buying a car and driving it out of Toronto on a Friday before a long weekend, during rush hour. All of Southern Ontario and a quarter of New York and Michigan seemed to be interested in going north that night. Less than ideal circumstances lol. Wear and tear yes, but its a transmission, they are tougher than people give them credit for, and honestly people are tougher than they realize themselves. Wouldn't trade the experience for any AT or CVT in the world.
""EITHER YOUCAN DRIVE A MANUAL-SHIFTING-VEHICLE OR YOU-CAN'T, ""IT'S LIKE YES OR NO, ""I TRYNOT TO USE THECLUTCH AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE WHEN THECAR IS IN MOTION""!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So to change gears you have to be fully down on the clutch and completely off the accerlerator. You then have to wait for the engine to click over into the gear before you can go up another gear again
"wait for the engine to click over into the gear" Not exactly. You change gears by using the stick. Your engine won't do anything for you.
After you changed gears by moving the stick, you release the clutch and at the same time give it some gas.
@@Dr.BenjiBuddy Sorry for the late reply. Is there a grace period when going up and down in gears? Like You can't just go 2-3-4 in succession right?
