Muafia, make sure you click the box for "establish connectivity using spatial data" in the ModelBuilder steps, and enter a reasonable tolerance (within which it will automatically connect polyline endpoints to nodes). Also, check the source CAD data to make sure there are actually endpoints of the polylines at the nodes and not just bends (bends will not automatically split pipes. You can also use the Batch Pipe Split tool to split imported pipes at the overlapping node locations. Thank you for your great efforts , I would like to ask how I can specify the points while importing from civil 3d by model builder because however I name the layer of points in civil 3d it will be viewed just as points in model builder, so I can not differentiate manholes from property connections.. and thanks in advance.
Bassil. you could put the different features on different layers, or use the duplicate and WHERE feature in ModelBuilder to accomplish this. For more help, please post on our forum: communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/f/haestad-hydraulics-and-hydrology-forum
Does it matter how the objects are set up in CADD in order for Modelbuilder to recognize them? For example, were your "manholes" polylines, COGO points, or blocks? I'm having trouble importing Points into WaterCADD Modelbuilder...its not recognizing that they are in the drawing.
Hello, for ModelBuilder to import nodes like manholes, they must be points or blocks. Polylines can only be mapped to line-type elements like pipes in WaterCAD. If your point features are not being recognized, make sure they are in Model Space or try saving to a different DXF version. We have some additional information in our Wiki that may help - if you need further help, please post on our Forum: communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/f/haestad-hydraulics-and-hydrology-forum
@@bentleyopenflows thanks for quick reply! I couldn't get "Points - Miscellaneous" to work but when I typed "point" command im Civil3D and inserted them individually, they worked fine. So we're good. By the way, Great video and content!
@bentleyopenflows ! plz help ,when i import my invert levels in sewergems its reading accurately in manhole for manhole data but not for conduit its reading last invert at at each line wrongly.its matching my last conduit at inclination.
Hello, I am not quite sure I follow what you are saying. Please post more details (screenshots if possible) on our forum: communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/f/haestad-hydraulics-and-hydrology-forum

Good efforts and easy to understand.
What is your selection about the load definition in excel
very very good and big thanks
Hello, i would like the excel file (flow data) so I can import the loads the appropriate way.
thank you
@bentleyopenflows when i import my cad files my elements are not properly connected. it gives bends in conduit and dont connect conduit with manhole.
