This drive down Jonkershoek Road towards Jonkershoek Nature Reserve is beautiful.
Jonkershoek Nature Reserve covers an area of 1,000 hectares and lies within the Hottentots-Holland Mountain range. The nature reserve offers picnic, pools to swim in and stunning hikes, there is however an entrance fee to enter.
Stellenbosch is South Africa's second oldest town dating back to 1679. The towns farming activities started a year later and it is now known for its surrounding wine farms.
Stellenbosch is surrounded by the Cape Winelands and the mountainous nature reserves of Jonkershoek.
Stellenbosch is approximately 55km from the city of Cape town.
