Download the mission here: drive.google.c... download unzip and place the .mis and .properties files into your games missions-single-UN-F6F3 folder. Man, I always look forward to these videos, great job buddy! I too am flying this sim again, something always brings me back. I seem to remember a mod from years ago that would stagger the flames coming out of the .50 cals. Might have to go look for that. I’ve got my bat install to look pretty much like yours does now, I think you’ve used different huds though. Next step is to go 4k😎
Thanks kenk the game looks amazing in 4K. If you get a 4K monitor remember to open the conf file with notepad and change the screen resolution under [Window] to 3840 and 2160 for Highth and Width.

The difference between the faster GrummanF6F3, & compared to FU-Corsair, is their wing span with the weight of their payloads orients the Hellcat deploys rockets, and the Corsair payloads launch much heavier orients in their bombs. But the Corsair, the size of their wing span is very much useable from ground to air artillery. Happy holidays🎅🏻, "NICTM",👍🏻!

It true aI believe that iconic WW2., flying ace Greg "Pappy" Boyington was shot down over Rabal in the pacific I believe in his memoirs he expressed the length of the wing span of the air-fighter he has almost close calls holes in his plane after missions because of this very reason. The Hellcat & Mustang wore the least casualties during the war not all of them returned back home but compare the Corsair & those of the Hellcat & Mustangs casualties lists.?

Many years of practice. I have learned to set the bomb fuze delay to 3 or 4 seconds in the arming option pre mission. Then drop down low on the target for a better hit probability. Thanks for watching!
Wow man. Youre an ace. I have more than 10 yrs with that game and I still suck on almost all skills lol...
I remember when I first started playing the game thinking I would shoot down meshersmits it didnt happen I got very frustrated it was such a good game for the time. I just needed to practice and had to get an exorsism as I infected by arcade tactics.
@@callsignnictmere465 totally lol is actually great on IL2 46 how you have to adapt to the particular physics of each plane! But once you get it you start to master it.
Can the hellcat take off carrier in this?
Oh yes with two options 1 taxi up two the number 1 catapult and cat launch into flight very exciting. 2 fly off the carrier deck like a short runway into the wind.

P.S.: After some further research, I can confirm all of the F6Fs in Osprey Duels series #62 & #91 seem to have the cockpit in this video. However, all the other UA-cam vids of the F6F in IL2 show the same version as I have on my pc... vertical bar where the mirror should be at 12 o'clock high. Makes me wonder what other differences exist. And I cannot find this Barnsey's Hellcat mod. What's the backstory on the mod and the other version I'm seeing?
Do you have to have mods to play these missions?
Yes however iL2 1946 the steam version has the ability run pacific carrier missions and campaigns.
@@callsignnictmere465 I have the Steam version. I came back to this game after years of playing Battle of Stalingrad. I was just wondering because most modded missions say they were made using VP modpack or Bat mod, and I don't have those.
