Installing Vintage Unilug Wire Wheels for the Victress' First Drive

Its finally time to get the wheels on and get her out on the road for the first time. Unilug style wheels have gotten a bad rap, but they can be installed and used correctly with a little know how. Watch to the end for the Victress Coupe's first drive in over 50 years!

I suppose that tcentring the wheel onto the hub is achieved by a central ring inside the stud circle.

Thanks. On these older unilugs there’s no provision for a hub centric ring as on the newer ones. The centering is done by very close tolerances of the lug shank in the wheel slot. That's why you have to mount them carefully as shown. Did you watch the door handle install video too? That was a challenge!
