- This video teaches students how to copy an angle. In particular, this video will show students how to use a compass and straight edge to copy an angle.
This video is appropriate for a student taking a course in Geometry. In particular, students preparing for the NY Geometry Regents or the Common Core Geometry Exam should find this video helpful.

To throw in another idea here, let's say (based on Euclid's tools from when this was originally proved) that his compass didn't get 'fixed' at the distance between the points and theoretically closed shut (just run with this concept, my lecturer is suggesting this to us currently), how could we show the angle as a copy? Is this even possible?
Your class sounds really interesting.. I would need to spend way more time with a compass and straightedge to cover all the awesome stuff in Euclid's Elements.

This program is kind of like powerpoint, but with more math friendly features. The only catch is that the software is becoming less compatible with newer devices, unless you are teaching on a smartboard. I mainly use this program for my compass construction videos.

Here is a link to the software I use. There are three ways to manipulate the compass in this software. You can move the entire device, open the compass to extend the length, and click on the pencil to draw.
