Dimash has always done pop songs, along with his more operatic showpieces & his Kazakh songs, which focus not on high or low notes but on power, subtle inflections and emotion. But since he was a young teenager he has done pop songs, along with more serious material. He usually finds a way to show a little of his ability in these pop songs. His latest 2 are more bluesy and they are very cool pop songs, "When I've Got You", and "Smoke". WIGY is an official music video, while the OMV for Smoke has not yet been released. However, Dimash just released a "performance video" for Smoke that is very cool.

SOS is not Lara Fabian's song. It was performed by Daniel Balavoine; and had been written for the opera named Starmania by Michel Berger & Luc Plamondon in 1978. It has nothing to do with Lara Fabian. While Lara Fabian hadn't performed this song before, how could you have made the comparison and how could you have said "Dimash performed better than her"? Interesting really.
BTW, yes, it is Russian and originally belongs to a Russian Singer, Vitas. Vitas also has wide vocal range and he is also able to reach soprano notes, and this song has written to show his vocal capabilities. Vitas performed C6 normally and modulated to D6 with this song, but Dimash took it to the different level; here he performed C6 - C#6 - D6 and Eb6, modulated 3 times. So, it is not in Kazakh language.
