Most if not all the fire extinguishers you buy at the store come with a plastic tie holding the pin in place. But unless you have something to cut that plastic tie with, you can't pull out the pin which makes the extinguisher useless during an emergency. In other words the instructions should warn you to cut the plastic tie after you purchase the fire extinguisher.
That plastic is supposed to break easily when you pull on it. It’s there too keep the pin from falling out and getting squeezed when you don’t want it to. You shouldn’t have to cut them.
Remember don’t be a hero get out of the building before trying to help. And whatever you do do not try to put out the fire yourself only if you see the fire start and it is still manageable otherwise do not be a hero and get out of the building

Once you squeeze the trigger, it will lose pressure. Some can be recharged at the fire station. You don’t have much time to use it because it discharges very quickly. Like less than 10 seconds. But even if you don’t use all of it, there won’t be enough pressure next time.

Why can't we have an international standard for class of fires. Why does US always feel the need to be defined differently! Same with the imperial system & word spellings. Trying so hard! It's so annoying!

its an anti tamper seal u can break it by twisting the pin and pull the pin can break the plastic
