I just found your Channel. I appreciate the format you use; walking through the beautiful countryside to a country church, describing the history of the church, and playing the organ. I'm learning so much about pipe organs and the music you choose for a particular organ. I toured England and Scotland in October '24 and entered abandoned churches and the Durham Cathedral. You are making my visit alive again and it is very enjoyable. I have subscribed and am giving a monthly donation.
This is so uplifting. I needed this at just this moment. Ben Maton knows not only how to select and play the pipe organ, but also how to travel with an open mind and heart. Thank you for posting this!
This is the first time I've heard this young man (Ben) perform. I'm deeply impressed with his skill as an organist. You hear every note of his playing. He is very measured and his playing is sharp and crisp. He also looks very professional in his attire. What a wonderful show of dignity and respect; yet very down to earth. Someone you would be happy to spend time with...just chatting. Well done Ben!
These old churches, each one a work of art and a testimony to generations from simpler times and people, for whom the building and its fixtures and fittings had a meaning and presence that transcended the stone and stained glass, are now mostly deserted. They are maintained by a handful of dedicated carers. Full marks to Ben for bringing them to a wider public.

What a treat. It was so worth turning my laptop on and then my face lit in a smile when I noted the brand new recording with Ben back in this charming church. The music uplifting as always. And even a suit today - a perfect recital

Ben’s elegant Savile Row suit is very fitting for this special recital. As mighty oaks grow from small acorns, Ben has become a towering force on UA-cam since Alvediston. Bach’s Pièce d’Orgue was superb and the major chords from the gravement section could suitably herald the opening of the gates of Heaven!

Yes, an amazing recital, though I'm not sure why this, and not other churches warrant a suit "as a sign of respect". I'm sure it's impossible to tell from this video whether or not the suit is Saville Row. A very smart performance from Bossington! Also, I'm glad you were able to finish by playing your harmonium at home; the sheep were safe in your hands & J S Bach's!

Thank you Mr Maton. The suit was defenitively jolly good choise. Lovely church and nice and functional organ there. I enjoyed listening your play. 🎩
Ben, you undoubtedly, bring loads of joy and magnificent music to everyone who watches and listens. The information you share is a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Thank you.....from a South African subscriber. 🇿🇦
Pleasure, thanks
Waiting for Christmas for a video of the annual ceremony of “cutting the sprout”. Love the idea of a folding caravan helping you to get further afield, goes with your new folding mobile pedal organ. It’s all good.
Thank you for the beautiful recital Ben and for another engaging and inspiring video. Cannot wait for the journeys you have planned for us in your caravan!
Thanks!
I played organ in Shepherdstown WV USA. It was a typical Episcopal church BUT had a chapel with tiny organ for children!♥️🎹
Thank you Ben!! Loved the knife story!! 🍴You are truly amazing. Love the old English Churches and magnificent views of the countryside with your new toy (the drone). Thank you for bringing us beautiful music, peace and beauty.. and for the suit!! I’m “hooked”!! Keep em coming!!
Thanks! I love your channel and tho I’m UK in genetics I’ve never been (California based).
Thank you!
this was absolutely wonderful! I love it when I have a slow Sunday to catch up on missed videos. St James' church was something else. Congrats on the caravan, I am sure this will make for fun trips!
St James eh ? Beautiful exterior. The size of those roof tiles ! The Door is magnificent.
Those decorative hinges are marvellous. That's your genuine craftsmanship guvnor. Looking forward to that. Oh God I miss Hampshire sometimes.
The door hinges alone are worth the trip.

Aren't they ? It's a real Gem. Can't wait to see what it's like on the inside. The escutcheon around the door latch is exquisite. I'm going to get a copy of that. They don't make 'em like that anymore son.
How perfect to hear Sheep May Safely Graze while gazing at the beautiful green countryside. My eyes are filled with tears.
There were sheep opposite my summerhouse room this morning. I might record it again with them in the background!
@@SalisburyOrganist 💗 Yes, please.
There's so much about hell and such on YTube I decided to seek more of Heaven. My collection is small and varied as yet. I'm poor and 77 year old on SSecurity. Here in Savannah we have a large orphanage now school founded by George Whitefield to hustle street kids away from the pirates in the early 1700s. The grounds have a cattle herd, Herefords mostly. Thank you for this new addition to my collection.....
ps: my shelter dog English Pointer is enjoying your music hugely....
Divine in every way! Pleasent on the ear and eyes 👀😅
I very much look forward to your videos each Monday morning ( Australia 🇦🇺). They are a joy to watch. Thankyou Ben for all the hard work you put into them, they are a treat! 😊
Excellent recital. I really enjoy how you explain your creative process, and your visual presentation is "first rate"!!! Sundays have become "must watch" viewing of your channel's offerings. Thank you for sharing!
Ben, one of your best videos so far, beautiful environment, delightful organ, excellent commentary, and some masterful playing - what more could we ask? You are a fixture in my viewing! Thank you
Watching from Guadeloupe this morning. Thanks for your time and talent. “Pictures”- what a treat!
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. UA-cam at its absolute best 🥳🎹🛐🎶
The first time I ever heard "Pictures at an Exhibition" was, you guessed it, the ELP version, played on a cousin's vinyl rig when I was a kid back in the 70s. I loved it then and still do. Thanks for bringing back that memory and for showing us so many beautiful places. You're the best.
Been that was an outstanding performance despite my really as chesty cold it gave me great joy. Thank you 😊
I loved your Bach! Thank you!
Two visits in one. How lucky we are. Thanks.
Just Thank you! Thank you so very much!
A very smart performance from Bossington! Also, I'm glad you were able to finish by playing your harmonium at home; the sheep were safe in your hands & J S Bach's!
I have been looking forward to this presentation today! Thank you Ben!❤
Bravo Ben!!! Well done and thanks.
Well done, you!!! Thank you 🙏
I am enjoying your video! What a joy on a gloomy Monday morning!
謝謝!
Thank you very much much!
The perfect place for a cheese and pickle sandwich.
Even in the rain ;)
Do you slice the pickles lengthwise or across? Or do you use pickle relish, with or without mustard? An old (b. 1904) friend used to say, "You can't have a meal without a pickle!"
