Dude, this rework is beyond good! everything feels so detailed and destructive. it really fits the power and speed of the bosses, expecially Thanatos's explosion attack and Ares's spiralling laser beams. it doesnt even feel like terraria, nor even calamity mod. its like a completely different game! and dont even get me started on how epic the atmosphere is when that sick ass soundtrack is playing. it gives off a "this is not a fucking drill, run for your goddamn life" type vibe, if you catch what im saying.
Nice! Though I haven't played calamity, I think the infernum exo mechs are a lot cooler than the original ones, particularly with the Thanatos rainbow cone thing and the fight with Artemis and Apollo.
As much as I love the Ares blender attack, I feel like it's used far too often. It's not a matter of difficulty, and I don't think the fight should be any easier, it just kind of loses its spectacle during some of the configurations because it happens so often. Ares could do with an additional gun phase when paired with another mech, just to mix things up a little.
that's what I noticed too. He just does the blender attack and then the sword, and then repeats that. There's all those guns that he wasn't doing anything with. I kinda hope it's updated to change that pattern
@@yarknarkIf you fight them in a different order Ares uses the guns. I chose Thanatos then Artemis and Apollo, when Ares spawns he uses all of his attacks. Guns, blender, and swords!

To be fair, if you're fighting Thanatos THEN Ares immediately, it makes sense since Thanatos is basically "circling" an arena so that's why the blender is trying to exploit that. If anything, make him shoot while doing the blender so you aren't just static in one position while moving in the blender.
That fight was magnificent! I especially loved the fight against the Twins. 3:15 was just awesome as you descended while they transformed, the fight just stopping entirely.
Really cool fight visually and I love how they adjusted the Artemis and Apollo section. I’m kinda confused on ares. Does Ares only do that melee attack? It seems like the other arms don’t do much throughout the fight. Also Thanatos’ rainbow warning thing is really bright imo, I thought it was the attack itself and not a warning.

Idk if that’s how it works in base calamity because I only ever reached calamitas clone in base calamity (yes my first full playthrough has been hell since it’s on infernum). But messing around with the different combos of bosses and how their attacks switch is actually really fun and it’s such a unique mechanic.
Seeing this really puts into perspective how screenlocked the original mechs are and how much it ruins the flow of the fight. I really like how the devs reduced the amount of screen locking to appropriate levels. Also they managed to fit in Ares' "dash" attack by replacing it with the RGB swords which was brilliant.
This is probably the hardest exo mech combination.Not only you must kill twins without their desperation phase, at the and you'll also fight literally 2x speed DoG... Nice job, dude

You can get higher dps if you stop holding attack as soon as the Ark has reached max distance from the player, because it snaps and you gain 2 of those point things that you get from parrying with the Ark. Does mean you have to think about that as well as everything else going on in this fight but it can be very useful. Nice skills btw this would take me a very long time to beat lol
Sometimes I wonder, how the hell do they managed to do all this, and sometimes I talk about how they beat it, but whats most interesting is how they make it, its just incredible what the Developers have put their time in.

oh boy this fight looks crazy, cant wait to do this in multiplayer and either have the fight break, like it did with 2 of the sentinels or be really hard for no reason bc of the lag and unsynced projectiles/animations( one of polterghasts phases was quite annoying bc i couldnt see the indicators)
Damn i've been planning to start playthrough with infernum but I'm not sure if i could keep up with the difficulty in this mod. I barely managed to kill regular exo mechs on revengeance but this thing is on another level
Infernum exo mechs are so hard, that even my PC couldn’t handle it, and most of times it was 30 fps, and sometimes it was 1-5, so I had to use god mode to beat them
I stopped playing Terraria around the time Internum was released. I thought they were just going to make the bosses harder. I come back to see this. Admittedly they did just that, but they brought a type of polish I can't believe is possible with a decade old engine. Its just incredible.
noticed a thing in this video: why is it that for me, in the game, the music glitched? the starting beats would play even with music turned off, then after them the song would go all the way down on volume (part where the name of the mech finally finishes appearing on screen) and slowly go up, as if it was changing musics from one biome to another is it mod mixes? my calamity simpy going nuts?

what mod are you using to display fight info at the bottom left after you beat a boss? every time i die the health bar disappears so fast i cant see how much health the boss had left :(

The candle effects are there because of Toasty's mod, it allows the effects of the candles even if it's in my inventory!

Those are crystal platforms, hammered, and they have white gemspark walls placed behind them painted with shadow paint. They are hammered, because they allow the user to fall right through them without their momentum stopping. The white gemspark walls provide lighting. These are tedious to make, so I used the cheat sheet paint tool to duplicate them as much as I want! :)
Im doing a melee infernum playthrough now and no matter what i do i get 2-3 shotted by anything, i see in the video a hit takes like 1/6th of your health, did they bump up the damage or smthg?

Ares only does the slash attack when paired with thanatos yes.

Original calamity boss fights are just not great xD Infernum has genuinely improved every boss beyond recognition, it's unreal.

You can fall through hammered platforms, and I'm not as good as you give me credit for! I'm using heavily defensive gear in the video :p
