Description: The capital built by the British: the circular parliament, the two symmetrical southern and northern blocks of the Secretary of State distributed on either side of the Kingsway today Raj-path, at the end of which will be built in 1929 the residence of Viceroy Rashtrapathi Bhawan. Lord Irwin, Viceroy from 1926 to 1931 inaugurated Parliament on 18 January 1927. A few months later, he received many Maharajahs, mainly from Punjab and Rajasthan (Jagatjit Singh, Maharajah of Kapurthala was present).

As for me, I have mixed feelings about the Brits. It's important for me to explain a bit about myself as well before I proceed further. I was born into a Brahmin family of NW India. I reject all verses in any book that declares one caste superior in any way to another. I reject the way Dalits were treated for so long by so-called upper castes. All humans are created by one power and are equal. No human can declare one superior to another. I also reject immature and derogatory ways in which some Indians call each other based on region, state, district, etc. I have proudly identified myself as an Indian first and Indian last. This character in my psyche helped me to make friends easily from across the nation and globe. Names like Kalaignar, Jaya, Traffic/Bannerswamy, etc. aren't alien to me. I remember a funny speech of Kalaignar in which he asked his party members: "Why are you afraid of Jayalalithaa if Traffic Ramaswamy isn't?" 😆 I have had a deep interest in regions of India outside my own NW. Their language, ethnic groups, and ways all make me curious to learn more. It'd therefore, make no difference to me whether you are A, B, C, etc. We are the same. Sons of the same soil. Now coming to the Brits. I like their acts which improved the society and infrastructure. I dislike their cruel acts which are also many in number. Discipline in anything one does was strictly practiced by them unlike us Indians. I see solid bridges still standing right here in NW. Some of them aren't in use today. The quality of structures we make hasn't matched theirs. It can be a very long and interesting topic of course. Your views seem balanced to me. I found some Goan Christians quite unbalanced in their views, I reiterate , some. You're welcome to keep in touch with me on some platform. I recently made a friend from KL. Oh, there is a strong Tamil presence because of military regiments here. I recently went to a city next to Delhi and reserved a sleeper class seat. Went all the way to my destination chatting with the soldiers going on leave and their families. This train starts from Chandigarh which is a UT and goes all the way to Madurai via New Delhi. Once again, I invite you to stay in touch. I'd also like to learn Tamil. The only two words I know of right now are Vanakkam and Pottuvil. I don't know the Tamil script but can easily recognise it. Always remember that we humans need a higher force to rule, it is applicable today too. If I give you a example, Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner (which is smoking in the video) opened their treasuries to build banaras hindu university, built canals and schools in their kingdom. If the rule is that much cruel, then people wouldn't support the maharaja to rule. Don't blindly follow the communist propaganda and NCERT. Do some self research.
