Gee is very underrated. The guy can sing, throw sticks in the air and play the drums insanely fast, all at once and without skipping a single beat.

DragonForce has so many members from so many countries (Not just England, but also Hong Kong, Ukraine, France, Italy, and South Africa combined) they might as well be a global band rather than just a British (as they're based in London) power metal band, which I as an American metalhead LOVE. I'm all for musicians from different places around the world coming together and creating something as magical as DragonForce is. Cheers, chaps!
They used to* have a member from south africa (ZP). Not anymore
You also forgot about Sam . He was from New Zealand . I know these other members left but Dave Mackintosh was also from Scotland and some other people were from England and then there are some members that don't have that much information . Other than that , yeah Dragonforce is such a multicultural band.
I don’t know if zps dead from smoking he had to go and Marc saved dragonforce my doing a singing interview singing the last journey home and Dave Macintosh quit and gee also saved the band .Now dragonforce is a reunited band other than that dragonforce is the beat band ever.:-)
Man, I remember when Dragonforce was terrible live, this was so good that for a good minute I forgot I was listening to a live performance.
They were never terrible, they just had a lot of technical issues.

Even though I feel ZP's voice (at time of studio recording) was more optimized for this song, I find Marc totally serviceable. But most importantly, he's revived the band's desire to put effort into their live shows, and that is what's put them back on my must-see concert list.

I remember “meeting” DragonForce first on Guitar Hero 3 (the classic 😂). After that, I started to like their songs and loved ZP’s voice. Through the years back then, I started to notice ZP’s voice to fail due to smoking if not incorrect (you may notice his “damaged” voice in the live album “Twilight Dementia”) and the songs were lowered a half-key from the original(s). Also, the live performances back then started to sound bad. After ZP’s departure for lack of ideas(?), Marc then came and rescued the band with his new and fresh powerful voice debuting on “The Power Within”. Ex DF drummer Dave Mackintosh left the band after “The Power Within” unfortunately, but then came Gee Anzalone. Now though the years, the band’s live performances have progressed and now they sound a LOT better (almost like an album!). This is the result for years of hard work and dedication. Kudos DragonForce! 👏👏👏
The difference between "Twilight Dementia" and THIS, is that Twilight Dementia was 100% live and this is overdubbed, edited and cut. Marc actually sounded weak in this live concert, and I can provide the actual bootleg of this concert to prove it.
ZP sung fine in Twilight Dementia, it's just that the songs sounded weird tuned down half-step, he sung the correct notes. Search "Twilight Dementia"in album tuning" if you don't believe me.
@@TerminatorZXY lol only peo0le with lack of knowledge can support zps voice. TW was never pure live neither is this, zp is destroyed by smoking and boozing. The only reason TD sound half the good was becausse thwy lowered the key. marc never miss the key. you can watch there recent live uploaded via crowds mobile how fresh his voice sounds.

What won me over to this performance was just seeing the entire band singing the pre-chorus and chorus. Like despite the tempo they play at, at the end of the day their music is very anthemic at heart, inspired by the 80's so much, that it wouldn't be right if the whole stage wasn't belting it out.

This band, with these exact members, is one of the very few newer bands, that makes real, genuine, high-quality rock music. They deserve to play on arenas every single time, as what they are doing is to restore the faith in the rockfans, that not all of the really good rock and roll is already in the past. RESPECT.

I know ZP's voice was meant for this song, entirely. But, I honestly don't mind Marc singing it. And it makes me wonder how ZP would sound on DF's new songs. Anyone agree?
Emiester1130 I'd love to hear ZP singing some new DragonForce, just to see how he handles, I definitely think Marc has the better range but I'd like to see ZP's take.
Marc: Has a much better natural range and is much more technically proficient and gives a very consistent live performance.
But is just serviceable as a front man nothing really special.
Zippy: Has a way better sound to his singing voice (subjective but I think the old stuff is missing something when I hear Marc sing them even though he does on a technical level nail it) and is a way more charismatic front man.
But he was very inconsistent live especially in his later years with the band but when he was on his A game it was glorious but his low points were super rough.
Also I could listen to ZP sing the ballads all day.
That is how I view them anyways.
I like them both but I do miss Zippy he is pretty much gone from the power metal scene these days.
