Thanks Glenn and Amy. I'm learning more Arizona history than I did when I lived there for 30 years. Thanks for showing all the beauty of my home of Arizona.
WOW!! The ancient 👣's are mind boggling n magical. Love all the greens. Great views. Thanks for the invite n all the info. Hi Amy. Take care one n all.
No joke! And they're also super isolated. Glenn came home from that outing and mentioned the storm and I was looking outside like, "What the hell are you talking about? It's been sunny here all day." 😂
That seems to be just about every outing sometimes. Especially lately as the weather has been absolutely unpredictable and not at all what has been forecasted. 😂
Thanks! Those things rolled in quickly. The funny thing is Glenn came home mentioning the storms and here, not too terribly far away, it was all sunshine! 😅
Great to see you back in the Agua Fria area!! Baby Canyon ruins are my favorite of the four ruin groups I have hoofed it to there. :) Pueblo Pato is great too!
Very cool! It's amazing how many sites there are out there. It's been a lot of fun hunting them out and seeing what's there. I imagine we'll be doing more in the future. 😊
I recently spent a weekend out there scoping out the Rosalie Mine and some of the ruins, which I now see were the Squaw Creek ruins based on the map you showed. They were pretty amazing, set right up against the edge of the canyon. And there are petroglyphs nearby. Potsherds literally everywhere. Definitely recommend a look at that one.
Good call on getting off those mud trap roads before the bottom fell out. They'll always be there for next time. We ll as long as we can get to them. Thanks for another Great Adventure Glenn. Rain out for Glenn just means easier work for Amy :)
Great video! One critique I have is that the background music can be distracting from when Glenn is talking and is a little loud at times. Thanks for taking me along, guys!
I was asking google what is the best time to load a video on UA-cam and it said on a Saturday between 6pm and 9pm for the most views. Thought you might like to try that once and see what happens.
One thing you never really see. A lot of adobe was used in construction and it would have likely melted, dissolved, or crumbled away over time from rains and winds. Some remnants of wood are probably there... somewhere. Others probably taken and reused elsewhere.
14:00 Geology for the viewers: The source of the lava rocks is the small mound/hill sitting on top of the other side of the canyon. It's an ancient shield volcano (thick lava, poured out slowly like a pacake, like on Hawaii). It's called Joe's Hill!
Appreciate the info! While we went to Lassen and learned a bit about the different volcano types, we haven't looked much more into info so we love hearing from others with more knowledge. Thank you! 😊
Interesting area Glenn. Somehow I got unsubscribed from your channel and figured you were taking a few months off.....I have a lot of catching up to do!
What I always wonder is if people who lived on the edge of canyons or any other beautiful landscapes...did they love the views like we do? Maybe at first but then later on it faded for them? I guess we will never know, I know it was a hard life and I'm just gonna believe that maybe that gave them something to feel good about.
I LOVE Agua Fria NM. It is a shame that it isn't managed better. And it is a shame that all visitors don't treat it with more respect. The cattle are allowed to roam free, the visitors make fire pits out of pueblos, and there is shit all over the place (both bovine and human). Ugh. Its only saving grace is that the roads are bad so that keeps most of the riffraff out. Most. Not all.
Really cool. It would have been something to see those when they were new.
Was thinking that about another one we found that is entirely something else and quite interesting in construction. 👍
Thanks Glenn and Amy. I'm learning more Arizona history than I did when I lived there for 30 years. Thanks for showing all the beauty of my home of Arizona.
Yay! Our pleasure. 😊
Beautiful and fascinating, as always! ❣
Thank you! Cheers!

Thanks! Yup... lots of green out there these days. Will make for a "fun" fire season. 🫤
Great exploration! Love the drive and the hunt for ruins.
We do too. It's such an adventure plotting a point on a map and going out to see what you actually see. 😊
Well done. I enjoy your explorations, and sharing the less than perfect outings.
Thank you so very much! 😄👍
Holy crap that were some dark clouds! They can really sneak up fast in the desert. Nice to see the landscape so green!!
No joke! And they're also super isolated. Glenn came home from that outing and mentioned the storm and I was looking outside like, "What the hell are you talking about? It's been sunny here all day." 😂
Thanks for this excellent and informative presentation. Hope to see Amy along on future vids.
You bet! Thanks for watching!
Always enjoy the search for ruins. I didn't realize there are so many. The maps are very helpful too.
It's incredible how many there are out there. 😄
This was adventure. One of my favorite videos. I like that you have a plan, however, you adjust when things do not go according to plan.
That seems to be just about every outing sometimes. Especially lately as the weather has been absolutely unpredictable and not at all what has been forecasted. 😂
Good stuff young man, dig the storm clouds☺️

Sounds awesome! I imagine we'll see it at some point. We're making a little project out of locating sites. 😅

Super easy as Glenn edited this one. 😅 Yup... we're certainly going back out to try and find more in the future.

Noted! Thanks for the feedback! 👍
Would a stock 2021 f150 2wd be able to do the road to sheep’s bridge?
It’s a wide road. I just released a time lapse of the whole route if that helps. But, my remembrance is you have pretty wide road.

There doesn't seem to be any remains of the roofs?

Enjoy binging!

I imagine they loved the views, but I think most historians believe it was to be able to see both game and enemy, protection from conflict, etc.
Have you seen any of JSheckler's (Black Flag Expedition) ? Many videos of the Perry Mesa / Agua Fria exploration
We've seen a few, yes. 👍

Well. You've convinced me. I won't take my Honda Civic out there.
Or my Juke. (Though it looks like some of the roads out there would be fine for it)
This looks like it can be done with a stock f150 4wd..
I wouldn't worry too much about snakes. They are pretty unlikely to bother you.
Pueblo Pato- Pato means Duck in spanish.
Yup. There is apparently a petroglyph of a duck out there somewhere that we didn't find. 👍
Snake shot in a pistol for snakes.
Too much driving video not enough ruins
Mother Nature will have her way. 🤷♀️ Plus we're all about the adventure of it.
