    Anyone remember when this channel created new and at least somewhat interesting and informative content instead of just snippets from television?
    Pepperidge Farms remembers.

      Most people won't read sources, and not many are specialized enough to judge the quality of research. A peer reviewed paper is not tailored like your average magazine article which is digestible by the public.

      They should still cite their sources. Heck, they used to do it in Greg's old videos, but got lazy around the turn of the year.

      Exactly. Where is BBC's integrity? This is how "science" turns into a mere game of telephone.

      Exaggerate much?? Even though I mostly agree that it would have been better for them to cite their sources, this kind of hyperbole doesn't do anyone any good...

    • @withelisa
      @withelisa 6 років тому +1

      @@Joddit not hyperbole at all. I personally value transparency and honesty, don't you? An institution like the BBC will carry an air of authority for most viewers and they therefore should hold a particular responsibility toward their viewership. Not apologizing for high standards when the stakes involve lives.

    2 things about this video:
    1. I’ve stated this on the original video about rice, but it’s very misleading, not at ll informative, and comes off as a scare tactic to stop eating rice all together, even though there are billions of people worldwide who eat rice daily (including children) who don’t suffer any ill effects.
    2. Is the bit about xanthum gum suppose to be negative? The way it was presented made it seem like it’s something I should avoid, despite the fact that it was stated in the segment that it came from a natural source and could be used to reduce caloric intake. Those are all good things. It’s like someone trying to taunt you with compliments.

      Some people prefer the taste of soy or almond milk over real milk. I personally cant stand the buttery smell of whole milk.

    I think drinking animal's (other than ourselves) milk is weird in the sense that no other animals drink milk from another species.

      Curious to know your sources. The video mentions calcium is fortified in soya milk like this article:
      www.healthline.com/health/milk-almond-cow-soy-rice
      With so much fake news and information on the interweb, I'm interested to get a balanced opinion and facts so that I can make an informed decision. Thanks. Although there was a time they said butter was unhealthy and now they say it is actually better than oils for cooking.

    • @GigawingsVideo
      @GigawingsVideo 6 років тому +3

      "2 seconds of Googling" that's the problem, quick research is not a good way to find conclusion especially with so many lies companies do to sell their products. Do you even bother to do research on calcium itself? Or the amount of natural calcium in raw soya and almond? Having Google in your arsenal don't turn you into a scientist.

      @@EckyThump69 well, at 48 yrs of age so far... I only use butter, olive oil & coconut oil. My Dr has said that she's never heard as strong a heartbeat as I have. My bp is 117 over 65. I'd say regular unsalted butter is just fine. 😉
