Thank you for going to the Irving mall so i don't have to. I worked and shopped here in the 80s it was fun and thriving. I went here 8 years ago it was dead, smelly, and depressing and said i wouldn't go back. The carpeting was disgusting.
I worked here in the early to mid 1980s. The mall peaked in 1984 after the remodel and major expansion, and fell into decline after a series of gang-related shootings. The higher-end stores and most of the majors appear to be gone, but I'm impressed the mall is still open and looks busy.
I am from Irving and this mall is pretty trashy...Grapevine Mills is only a few more minutes away and is way bigger than this one. I could tell you what some of the stores used to be like the plant store was a former Vitamin World and before that it was a GameStop. People only go here because it's the closest mall to them. The store La Vida has been closed for months and sometimes the roof leaks and mall management refuses to fix the roof and instead puts buckets. Brand name stores are leaving and being replaced with local shops

been here since I was born this mall is gone its nothing more then a husk of what was a mall sucks mostly cus Barnes and nobles gave it some class but when that left it just molded into what you see now along with the comic store that was by it and some other stores that just didn't want to be apart of the area but ye just go to the parks Arlington mall its a good sec but man its a actual mall, except for the ice ring that smells like cat piss but other then that's its solid.

I thought that would be a nicer mall because Irving Texas is a decent area. I'm going to check it out. I was not impressed with that video.
Keep safe po
