I photographed him so many times! He’s on the cover of my book ‘Rock Stars of the 80s and 90s! A Collector’s Book of Memorabilia! It’s on Amazon. I saw Jon play over thirty times! 🤗
A lot of people comment that he should have been more successful. Well, he toured the world opening for some big bands. He grew a huge fan base in Boston and New England. He's put out a ton a albums. He had his recording company in LA creating music and sound tracks for many movies and television shows. Now he still plays all over the local area and lives in a nice home in Gloucester, MA. Google his net worth, he has done quite well making a living as a full time musician and judging by a fairly recent interview he sounds happy and living his best life. he probably ended up right where he wants to be, in one piece and not an addict and having all of his faculties.
He's still out there doing it. Rather than bitching about why he isn't the most successful ever, go out and see him live. I know I'm going tom, at Tupelo Hall in NH. May 29, 2021
Still get a bitch back then he was in Jacksonville North Carolina only 12 marine showed up to a big farm concert where are the people nobody showed up but just us 12 because of that song Holy War
Did Brenner say he was one of the most exciting "new" guitarists? Before the Jon Butcher Axis he had a band in the 1970s Johanna Wild. He's hardly new in 1987.
How this guy never took over is beyond me. Always a fan. He writes this stuff too - not just an axeman.

He came SO close....Timing is everything..Maybe another time another place, yes? So many have made it huge that didnt have the talent of Jon..
Have seen Jon Butcher and Jon Butcher Axis, unbelievably good live and a true gentleman off stage.
