I think the simple fact The Marvels couldn’t lock premium screens after Dune moved is a sign that even the theater owners aren’t high on the movie. And for the budget it has, I think this is going to be a disaster for Feige.

I think the FNAF drop is intense, but also once Halloween is over. People are kinda done with the horror movies. I think the sequel should come out 2 weeks before Halloween. I’m still shocked this movie has made over $200 million worldwide. Crazy!

Marvel doesn’t feel like Marvel after End Game. We hung in there through Wanda Vision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Hawk Eye, Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Loki season 1, even Thor Love And Thunder… and each thing was worse than the last. So we basically gave up on the MCU. Now that we are behind we probably won’t be back until Deadpool…

When it comes to Loki, my boyfriend and I are still watching every episode but we usually need to wait until Friday or Saturday to watch it because our Thursdays are extremely packed. We used to call Wednesday our “Marvel Night” and would watch everything the day it dropped.
I’ve been watching on Friday mornings before work! Although, last week’s ep 5, I watched the Thursday of since ep 4 was so brilliant that I couldn’t wait to see what happened next!

I like that they drop at 9pm. It’s way easier for me to catch the episode before all the spoilers and react videos. I also try and avoid reviews so I can really just judge it as is

Grace, Usher was the final production of Flanagan’s deal with Netflix. He’s moved on and is back at WB for The Life of Chuck, a huge ensemble Stephen King adaptation for a theatrical release.

Grace, i totally agree with u, without actors promoting their movies i think the lack of publicity is greatly effecting the interest for a film and in turn its box office..
I don't remember seeing Margot Robbie talk about Barbie or ANYONE from Oppenheimer cast promote their movie. Its simple, NO ONE GIVES a PHUCK!
those actors had promotional events. It helps to raise awareness. They didnt do talk shows but they had other outlets to promote
@@nms7872 that means nothing. Most people are sold by the trailer bc that's a trailers job. They are NOT swayed by actors just saying, " go see my movie". If the trailer doesn't convince one to see a movie neither will any actor.
When a trailer comes out it literally informs someone whether they want to see that content or not. That is the main purpose of a trailer to generate excitement. You get more of a sense or general idea or at least curious about what's it about.
@@sahdirellis4901 im just saying the actors did talk about the movies though. Theres plenty of videos on youtube from june and july, many prerecorded. it is all about raising awareness and drawing interest. A trailer is more important (literal sell of the movie) but promotion builds interest too.

Idk why people keep saying dune was boring cause I feel literally the opposite. I thought it was immersive, beautiful, interesting, and I’m excited for more! Definitely one of the better sci-fi movies recently…definitely better than recent star wars stuff 👀🤷🏼♀️
It is very good. Grandiose, grim, beautifully shot and scored.
When people call a movie "boring" they're not putting much thought into the assessment.
I've rewatched it several times. Superb world building and intelligent sroytelling.

the pacing is slow but I believe that that's intentional. it's the same with Blade Runner 2049 (VERY slow) but IDK both those films are so beautiful and intriguing I would never call them boring. it gives "Logan Paul totally failing to understand Nope and Tweeting about it" vibes

I feel like the Loki show has a dedicated fan base, but talking to most people...they are either ho-hum or don't care.
I didn't fall asleep in DUNE because the sound system was so cranked up in the theater that I was being shaken from the reverberations. And they need Zendaya to help promote D2 to her 180 million Instagram fans.
It's not superhero fatigue, Grace, it's crap fatigue. When the MCU as a whole is interesting, even I will watch everything, but when the MCU is crap, not even one good show matters, because all the rest is crap, and I don't care about comic book films, I was only curious about the story that was kinda interesting ("Infinity Saga").
Also, let me say: youtubers are a little responsible for MCU evasion, I think. With you guys we get to know before hand what matters and what doesn't, and truth is that most of it doesn't recently. And if something matters it doesn't matter, because if the next one is crap, what's worth?
They have to do good stuff continually, and fail eventually. If they fail continually and do good stuff eventually it doesn't work for us. Marvel is becoming DC.
Blumhouse has a Dead By Daylight movie in the works. I hope that can recreate the success of fnaf, considering how many IP crossovers the game has. if they can somehow sneak some cameos from these iconic characters in there (blumhouse can get michael myers in there?) it'd be big.
The film had enough nods to fans and was good enough overall to warrant the opening. But it wasn't enough to keep that business going in the weeks ahead so I'm not surprised by either weekends' numbers. Personally didn't care for it too much but it was a fun one time watch.

The word of mouth wasn't good enough to invite non fans to pay and see this movie. But this film is profitable because its production budget is only $20 million.
Hope Marvel Studios takes note & follows through on not making a Blade movie for over $100m as it's simply not necessary for a horror movie! The Taylor Swift concert movie with no weekday showings is likely to finish Top 10 domestically & Top 20 worldwide which is impressive. 20:30; Mike Flanagan chose not to re-sign with Netflix after creating 5 shows in 5yrs for them and is now with Amazon working on a Dark Tower project.
It did have Halloween screenings for a discounted price.
And make blade a female centric movie that’s not needed
I still feel that five nights at freddys probably had that big drop considering peacock was streaming it but still really benefited on both sides.
I would love to have a Hollywood marketing job where I just throw out immersive viral marketing ideas and merch collabs for random films. I feel like it would always be fun. I feel like Netflix did good with the Stranger Things pizza and ice cream at Wal-Mart and that sort of stuff.
A few years ago Halloween was on a Thursday, however, my friends and I decided to celebrate on the town the following day, since we all worked. It was really scary because we were the only group dressed up. Felt like we were in the twilight zone.

Grey's Anatomy has picked back up, I believe, because of it's presence on Tik Tok. Hundred of 1 minutes scenes from the show all over my FYP so I'm sure it's on many others as well. Makes me want to watch it now and I never had interest in it before.
"Bodies" is so good, I finished in two days. Although it's marked as a Limited Series, there was a slight cliffhanger in the end. I'm hoping for a second season. By the way, does the Nielsen's chart only take into account North America viewership? I ask because I've got a feeling that Amazon Prime shows do a lot better in South America. Wheel of Time always trended on Brazil Twitter after each new episode.
Nielsen only takes NA into account. As for WoT outside the US, I can believe it, but its hard to prove since Amazon still doesn't release any of their data unless to gloat.
If performs like any international show on Netflix, its bound to be much bigger outside the US. Netflix's Lupin for example does much better in Europe (France in particular) that makes up for the OK numbers in the US.

Hey Grace next year Terrifer 3 releases on Oct 25. I know it’s not a big studio film but it made great money last year for the cheap budget. Also it’s a Christmas themed terrifier. So it’ may have legs through November and holidays
Alex Vincent surely has to be a cameo in FNAF2. His association with demonic dolls is too much fun to not bring him on.
He’s not famous enough to be the big name to draw audiences, but will be a fun Easter egg for horror fans.
And for that matter have Brad Dourif too. Maybe playing Alex’s dad or something.

It's very similar to Dark, but it's nowhere near the same complexity or bewildering brilliance of that German masterpiece.
The Fall of the House of Usher was crazy good and fun. I'm rewatching it. Best TV series on Netflix since 1899.
Usher is one of my favorite stort viewing experiences of the year, movies included. I rank it up there with Flanagans Hill House. Grace is talking about his contract with Netflix but wasnt it already stated that he is moving to Amazon?

Grey’s Anatomy is a comfort show in my home, random episodes play in the background on Netflix on TV while I watch Beyond the trailer videos on my phone. 😅
I doubt Halloween falling on a Friday will help. From my experience, the anticipation of Halloween is bigger than Halloween night itself. Halloween night is usually spent taking younger relatives teck or treating or going to a party. The Halloween vives are completely gone by November 1st, so very few people will probably go see anything on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend before Halloween is the sweet spot. The best day for Halloween would be a Sunday since it actually gives you the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the day for the scary movie theatre experience.
Marvels seems like it will be fun, but Marvel has been inconsistent lately so I'll probably wait for streaming.
jack Nicholson once said if a movie looks good people will go to see it, they don't need me to promote it.
Meg Ryan and David Duchovny did promo the last two weeks What Happens Later … they was on all the morning shows and a lot of the talk shows last week
as someone who didn't like the first dune - and since read the book - part 2 would've done great on WOM! the book itself picks up on the second half. and the strike hurts it bad! so many stars in the cast. they would definity help push it, specially with young audiences. denis got all the next hollywood stars in here! timmy, z, flo pugh and austin???

I heard about What Happens Later on the radio on NPR. My wife is a Meg Ryan fan. She thought Ryan had retired. We went to see it for date night. My wife liked it.
_Freelance_ reminded me of the Sandra Bullock movie from last year, _The Lost City,_ so I watched that for the first time, on Amazon this weekend.
I LOVED Loki season 1 but I didn’t watch until episode 4 dropped for S2 after watching and waiting for ahsoka every week I was able to feel patient for a few episodes to drop on Loki
I watch your videos and get motivation to go see films I didn’t know about. I wouldn’t call myself a big moviegoer, but I feel like my AList tickets are just collecting dust because nothing really appeals to me right now. I’m hoping Marvels is good, I did get a preorder ticket but there isn’t much else I’m looking forward to. I’m not big into horror so a lot of what was available recently didn’t appeal to me.
Loki is NOT the MCU's hottest show. As much as you loved it, the first season wasn't alot of people's favourite MCU show. I had it close to the bottom. I LOVE the actors and tune in every week but the multiverse story just isn't that good.

I'm not excited for either The Marvels or this new Hunger Games prequel, but I'd still see the latter over the former on IMAX if I just *had* to choose. I'm really excited about The Killer, Dream Scenario and Dumb Money though. I never heard of It's a Wonderful Knife, but the title alone already tempts me.

Question with FNAF. Yes Halloween being over and the quality did definitely play a hand in the drop, is it possible the second weekend could’ve been bigger if the film wasn’t on streaming. While it didn’t stop people from going it could’ve stopped fans from seeing it multiple times?
I feel like the drop had a lot to do with Peacock. After seeing it in theaters the first time people probably went to Peacock for repeeat viewings. I know i did as a hhuge fan
MCU and SWs has a big quality issue. I’ve stopped watching those IPs. I can understand why audiences are giving up on those franchises unfortunately

Re Loki, My wife is a very casual MCU fan. She gave up on Loki s2, 2 episodes in. It's just to complicated for a non fan.

Loki: Jonathan majors is DOA and the story revolves heavily his character Kang. There is no need to watch a show if it doesn’t help the overall story.
Lilo and stitch was also my introduction to Elvis. That's actually really cute.
Journey to Bethlehem is coming out on Friday and Fandango is giving out free promo codes, so people can see it for free! I also hope that The Marvels get good reviews from critics and audiences and that it will do well at the box office, especially on opening weekend.
I spent the weekend watching animation! Catching up on new episodes of Scavengers Reign (awesomely terrifying and haunting) and then binging Blue Eye Samurai all day Saturday. Blue Eye Samurai is absolutely phenomenal, from the animation to the thrilling fight choreography to the acting…Just amazing. Highly recommend to all adult animation fans!!

Considering no one is watching/talking about Loki & the severe lack of interest in The Marvels, I think Spielberg was right when he said 7 or 8 years ago the superhero film would die the way of the musical or the western (especially if Marvel & DC keep shitting the bed in 2024 & 2025)

loki was not the show to go "self contained" in the mcu... the pilar of the MULTIVERSE saga with avengers level threat (supposedly with kang) and repercussions! i was never a fan but that would've definitely drawn me and others
The Jonathan Majors situation has killed any project centered around Kang. Plus the multiverse is played out in the superhero world

I think the FNaF drop makes sense as it was a Halloween event. Plus streaming and pirating has basically killed any rewatch value in theatres.
The drop is intense but they already made enough money for the rest of the trilogy and that's all Scott wanted.

We wanted a Loki show about Loki. The TVA is irrelevant to the mcu timeline. We’ve been waiting for a tie in, but so far they’re just talking about things in rooms and it’s not effecting anything outside those rooms.

I watched FNAF on Peacock on Halloween night. I was intrigued because I was not familiar with it before the film, and it was accessible since it’s not a franchise (yet). It was fun! I also watched Eras Tour for the second time today lol

When Halloween lands on a Friday it extends that entire weekend which include parties , clubs and bars , however am not sure how that works in the movie business
