one thing i wanna say to the spanish people is that there have been traditional songs and ballads winning eurovision. the most comparable would be salvador sobral and he sweeped the televote. please spain, dont fear sending something like this. dont get discouraged by last years result. its not about the genre, its about the right song. and dos extranos can do amazing at eurovision with the right staging
His manager is Rosalía's one, who discovered him on a talent show, so no doubt the staging will be a smash and the team will deliver an exquisite performance on the BF.

This is a brilliant and beautiful song, hope people here can see it and vote for him, he is the one with more options to make it in Eurovision. This song is simply magical, the voice and instrumental is PERFECT.
“Dos extraños” would be the first Bolero in the history of Eurovision and just now that UNESCO has just declared it Intangible Cultural Heritage (PCI) of humanity.

No sería el primer bolero en Eurovisión, Francia ya mandó uno,... pero al margen de eso, es sin duda alguna la mejor canción que nunca hemos tenido para enviar a Eurovisión. Lo tiene todo, y no le hacen falta ni adornos ni stages ni historias... Es una joya y una muy posible Winner Alert para Eurovisión!!
Honestly, the first time I heard it, it didn't do much to me. But when I saw the visuals and listened to it again, it just clicked. Now I love it and it's one of my favorites in Benidorm Fest 2024! It feels a bit like a breath of fresh air.

'Dos extraños' is a big kind of a deal here in Spain. In his presentations, st. Pedro explained that boleros are traditional in his area, and that he tapped into this sound because he intended to present a proposal that made grandparents, parents and children like the same song.
This song makes Spanish people cry when they listen to it. It is a harpoon that when it hooks you, does not let go of you until it destroys you.

In Spain, we have always listened to boleros, it connects us to Latin America but it's part of our culture and our music now. I loved sending latin pop in 2021 and experimental flamenco in 2022. This year would be amazing to send something we listen to as well, a bolero ending with a bachata. This would be the first time a genre like this sounds in Eurovision. We don't know what will happen if he represents Spain in Sweden, but I would be very happy to show this side of our music. Mainstream pop can be sent always, so we shouldn't miss this great opportunity. 🎉❤😊

@@lunaireticb4162 Podríamos hablar en un sentido más extenso de una cultura hispana, que englobaría a ambos lados del charco. Si bien el bolero como lo conocemos surgió en Latinoamérica (Cuba, y poco después llevado y desarrollado en México), podríamos decir que tiene sus orígenes en parte del bolero español (de tradición posiblemente romaní), que llegó a Cuba y sufrió fuertes transformaciones al fusionarse con ritmos africanos y dejando atrás su aspecto más de danza.
El punto es que nada es 100% original y todo evoluciona a partir de lo que vino antes. A mí personalmente me encanta que España se represente no solo a sí misma, sino a toda la hispanidad como una misma cultura. Creo que ya hay que dejar atrás esta mentalidad de colonizadores/colonizados para dividirnos.

It doesn't matter what Spain decides to send, this song is the classiest and the best in terms of music quality. Maybe ppl will prefer to send something more like a bop to esc, though. I won't feel any goosebumps like with this one, what it'd be alright.

It is reminding people of Salvador Sobral, but it reminds me way more of proposals like The Common Linnets: he is creating an intimate moment and reminiscing about a past relationship and how they hurt each other so badly there is no chance to make amends, and the only option left is to move on.
In terms of Spanish proposals of Eurovision from the past, this looks like a 'Bailar pegados' by Sergio Dalma (1991) kind of moment. The song is considered to be a classic in Spain now and the success of Sergio Dalma has been tremendous ever since.

No se de donde sacas esta afirmación... Quiza deberías de quitarte ciertos clichés sobre los gustos musicales de los españoles. Hay tanta cultura musical y con tantas variantes que la gente está acostumbrada a escuchar y sentir diferentes generos. El problema de España es que ya tiene una gran industria musical construida. Pero a ti te voy a decir. Seguramente esta sea la opción mas votada y no por que para el resto de europa sea parecido al fado de portugal. Esto es un bolero... Tradicional de Sudamérica y nada que ver con un fado aunque el fado también llegue a los corazones. Europa está falta de educación cultural y empuja a españa, portugal, francia y muchos otros países con cultura musical y industrias grandes a mandar canciones simples y pegadizas. Pero atento... I feel this one is going to do well with the demoscopic vote, as people over 30 will find it more tasteful than most of the other entries. This genre is called "Bolero", it originated in Cuba, I guess its main influence was Jazz music.

St. Pedro en Eurovisión se marca una salvador sobral 2.0....europa quiere canciones bailables ,electrónica y demás pero cuando hay una joya arrasa,y está canción en su conjunto con su interprete es una verdadera maravilla para los oídos y preciosa.
The most special thing is that sweet and mellow Canarian accent, but of course, if you don't understand Spanish or its characteristic accents, then you will miss a large part of the charm of the song. Canarian boys have a very special accent. ❤❤

I'm a little tired of comparisons with Sobral. All the people who are making this comparison are unaware of a musical genre called BOLERO. Until Salvador arrived, this genre had never been presented.
If you want to know more about this musical genre, I recommend that you listen to a musical group from many years ago called "Los Panchos"

Salvador Sobral ganó en 2017 con una canción incluso más lenta que "Dos extraños" y arrasó. Tiene la puntuación más alta de la historia de Eurovision y The Common Linnets quedaron segundos con una canción de corte country y también lenta. Hay otras baladas ganadoras o que quedaron muy bien en Eurovision.

Ni idea de lo que hablas. Ni rep dominica ni leches. El bolero es hispano americano y tiene identidad en España, y se exporta. Culturizarte un poco viendo la filmografía de Almodóvar te haría entender que el bolero está presente en nuestro arte también. Aunque creo q eres más de Mazinger contra Superman. Sí crees q el bolero y sus adaptaciones no tienen identidad española, escucha "piensa en mí" o "un año de amor", hasta la mismísima Luz Casal canta boleros.
