Unbelievable that a new company can understand dual sport so well when the competition clearly has no clue. Love the tanks and the look. IMO to be the perfect dual sport design I'd want to see a Fisher type seat, oil sight glass, another 100cc and passenger pegs.
I've taken it for a weekend trip. Had my doubts of course because of it's origin. But I was blown away. I've owned a crf450rl and have a Tenere. This bike reminds me a lot of the crf450 but with even better suspension and the power band making power up high is a little different. This thing destroys fast trails. Just like the honda it hates going slow. It's a race bike. And it's the best value for money dual sport on the market IF you want to go fast. For around the same price as the honda it does everything better.
How does it compare to the 450L? My issue with the bike isn’t reliability per say but getting spare parts quickly. If I go on a trip to Europe from the UK on my 450L I know I will find a Honda dealer to get parts in an emergency but will it be so easy to get Kove parts? If you just ride local trails and aren’t in so much of a rush or not going far, then yeah, Kove seems a great buy.
38" seat height ? We all aren't Shaq . Dang gotta double check that spec . Maybe my 205lb self can moosh the springs down some so at least one toe can touch the earth at some point .
@@HartyBiker Maybe the new KTM 390 adventure will be shorter . I guess I should just check out the ergos on these taller lighter bikes . My Tenere 700 is top heavy and it's always on my mind that if I take a really slow turn with any lean she's probably going down . Part lack off skills part higher center of gravity .
Why is this bike so much heavier the taco moto RTW 500exc? Also ktm’s $20k special edition 450 rally bike is much heavier than the tacomoto RTW 500exc build. What makes rally bikes so heavy? Im talking about dry weight of course.
I don't know exactly about the Kove, but the Ktm 450 rally has a trellis frame, rather than an enduro frame like an exc. That adds a bit of weight. Then consider the fact that all of the bodywork weighs a lot more, you're talking 30l of fuel capacity vs 9. All that extra plasitic and what not adds weight. Rally bikes are not just enduro bikes with screens, though they look very similar.
@ yeah it must be the trellis frame and some of these aero-plastics. Dry weights between the enduros (500exc) and rallys (ktm and kove 450 rallys) differ by 70lbs or so. I guess im surprised that rally bikes use a trellis frame since they are for racing and enduros on the erzberg rodeo do not. Not sure if that trellis extends to the rear, but I didnt think they’d need pillion carrying capability like a dual sport.
It’s all the add ons like oil cooler, the massive tanks empty even weigh a bit, and the strength to hold it all. Same as a ktm 690 which is also trellis frame without all this stuff and around the same weight. Pretty remarkable how light it actually is, actually. Can’t weight (pun intended) to get my hands on one. Floored that rally bikes are here in the USA. I’m currently on a husqv 701 with fairing that I love. But I can’t wait for 2” more of suspension. Pumped.
Comment below if you have riden a Kove 450 Rally and tell us what you think about it?
Could you please do a detailed compare/contrast for Kove 450 vs Honda 450rl?

love the looks of your bike. I traded one of my 890 adv r for kove 450 rally can't wait to get it in dirt
Great video! Beautiful desert scenes!🎉
There is an ecu upgrade for it to punch out 50 hp

This vs crf450L . What do you say
Where is the graphic kit from?
from HELL.

38" seat height is exactly the same height as a ktm exc, or other dirt bike.

They have two seat heights including low. You can also buy it with slightly less suspension.
@dieselcruiserhead
Good to know .
I wonder how heavier would it be if it could carry a passenger. Now a passenger is offically out of question.
Nice

Might be a good bike. Looks cheap though. I guess that should be expected with that price point.

i'd rather buy this than a KLR650.
Me too!
The kove 450 rally seems to be doing well. But it seems royal enfield is stealing the show.
Worst stickers in motorcycle history. Took a beautiful bike and converted it into an abomination. Jezaz.
Yup, looks like a good way to show ya like to suck on a pecker with the rainbow treatment.
