    Thank you for this video! I'm moving into a similarly sized CROUS, and this helped me get an idea of what to expect.
    I wanted to know a few things about the kitchen. How many people share the Cuisine area? Does it usually get crowded?
    And do you have a freezer in the fridge?
    Thanks again 😊

      Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
      The kitchen is not usually crowded because there are so many kitchens in the building and not everyone cooks at the same time. The kind of fridges vary. For mine, the whole fridge could either be a fridge or a freezer at a time so I often have to regulate the temperature.
      Thanks for watching :)

      Hi there! Nice idea, but here are some tips. The cost of transport varies from city to city. So the video I make for my city might not be applicable to your city. But whatever the case, it is highly subsided for young people especially below the age of 26, and in some cities it is subsided for students, or even made completely free. Your school will most likely give you the necessary orientation you need to get acquainted to your city, so try not to miss that. Sim cards are not expensive. With €10 monthly, you can get a good deal. Feeding is not expensive too, as long as you are open to eating French cuisine. I wish you all the best.

    • @RebeccaEkwuruke
      @RebeccaEkwuruke  4 роки тому +6

      Hi there! Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. What you can bring depends on what you consider a priority.
      Personally, I had very little space for hardcopy books. I don't think it's necessary to bring a lot of books considering that you can get those books online as well as in your school's library.
      If you don't mind eating French dishes and exploring other foods, then you can bring less of the local food items from your country. Else, bring more of your local food stuffs. There are lots of African store in France where you could get Aftican food items.
      Bring warm clothes and sneakers. Though these clothing items are sold in France, however, they are relatively cheaper in African countries.
      I hope I was able to help. All the best.

    I want to ask about access of drinking water in the student apartment. How much of light passes in the room during day time and can we open a window or is it a fixed window ?

    • @RebeccaEkwuruke
      @RebeccaEkwuruke  3 роки тому +2

      Hi there! Thanks for watching. Water from the tap is drinkable. So generally people drink tap water. Else, you could buy a pack of bottled water from the stores. They are cheap by the way 😉. For the window, lots of light comes into the room. You just have to open the shutters. You can also open the windows for air to circulate in the room. I hope I answered your questions.

  • @inesms2046
    @inesms2046 3 роки тому

    Hey!
    So I've started my procedure to apply and then they asked me to pay 100€, do I paid it, then they asked for another 270€. Do you know if they give you back that money after you leave?

    • @madelineb6057
      @madelineb6057 3 роки тому +2

      The first 100€ are for the reservation of the room (to make sure you really want it) and the 270€ are maybe for the guarantee? The guarantee is usually equal to 1-month rent. Like if you break something they will use it to restore the room when you leave. But, if you don't break or damage anything they will give it back to you one month after your departure. Don't know if this is clear enough but do not hesitate to ask more question :)

    Hello Mam !!!! It was a great video .....you were too sweet ❤️ .
    I wanted to ask you .....I will be coming to France in September 2021 specifically in Le Havre at Sciences Po.
    So what is the amount of rent that I can expect with and without the Caf ?? I am looking for a slightly bigger room than in the video because I really think that I can't afford to shift directly from a Bungalow at my place to a 9 m^2 appartment .
    Please do answer.....since I am planning my finances and other things

    • @RebeccaEkwuruke
      @RebeccaEkwuruke  4 роки тому +1

      I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. If you prefer a bigger room, there are other bigger options available. I don't know the cost of accommodations in the city where Le Havre is located. However, a 18m2 studio at the University residence in Nantes cost about 350 euros/month without CAF. Though this cost could vary.
      For the cost of the room after CAF, I can't know that because the amount of CAF you get varies depending on your situation.
