Borages german name is "Gurkenkraut" / Pickleweed, when picking flowers with the base, i always taste a bit of cucumber in them, also the german name for sedum alba is mauerpfeffer, or wall pepper, both are great in little quantities in salads

fragrant roses are really great mixed up with sugar, and keep their scent that way for a long time , great for sprinkling over or for incredible frosting

Now, that's given me an idea 💡 'Rose petal honey. I gave up processed sugar years ago, but honey 🍯 should preserve the petals in the same way.
      Thank you for that 😃

I grew a few of these for their edibility.
The Nigella seeds are very nice added to bread, especially flatbreads.
There is a hybrid of Nasturtium called King Theodore, wnd both the flowers and leaves have a particularly good peppery taste.
I have eaten a Marigold. A bit of an acquired taste. I suppose if you want a salad with a bit of Je ne sais quoi about it, this fits the bill.
I grow Day Lilies for their edible flowers too. I add the unopened buds to stir fries. There is some claim that only certain types are edible, but I've been eating the buds, leaves and shoots of a double orange hybrid (bought from JParker nurseries) for donkeys years. Never had any issues with that. (Has a taste rather like egg).
Ah yes. Roses. Scotch Briar rose petals are nice. I pick and freeze the petals, while pollinating them with a brush. Later, pick the rose fruits and make a jam from both. When you open the jar in the winter, open the jar and you get the perfume of the petals, the jam tasting of the fruit.
Didn't know about the geraniums. I have 3 surviving Hardy Geraniums, split up one recently, and will pick up some more different types when I see them available next.
Very interesting to see videos like this.

@Debbie-henri I really like to have edible flowers as well. They just look so good in a salad.
I had no idea that you could eat day lilies. Thanks for that.
