Superb performance, Jim!
Yes, great stuff, Jim! Enjoyed it very much!
Thanks Andy!
Jim, You do such a mean Cash! Another TERRIFIC Cover!
Thanks Suz!
That is my kind of music. And fortunately yours, too 😊 Great job, Jim.
Thanks! Yep, love Johnny Cash's music.
How long have you been playing guitar for?
You voice and your guitar skills always amazes me
Thanks! I started in the 80's but then stopped. Been playing steady since about 2010. I don't feel like I'm progressing though.
Jim Cook what made you start playing the guitar
And how did you learn the guitar
I had always wanted to play. I picked songs that I wanted to play and learned the chords needed to play it. First one was "Peaceful Easy Feeling" by The Eagles. There are a ton of 3 or 4 chord songs to play. As you go along you learn a bunch of chords.
Jim Cook so you learnt the chords on your own ?
Yeah, used a chord book back in the 80's when I started. Now it's easy because everything is online. You can find the chords for nearly any song, you can easily transpose them to fit your vocal range, and you can watch tutorials on UA-cam.
