Sharpshooting Walleyes - Garmin Livescope + Jiggin Rap (Livescoping Walleyes)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 жов 2024
- This video shows one of my absolute favorite ways to target and catch mid summer walleyes. In this video I cruise around deep flats and mid lake structure chasing down walleyes with a jiggin rap. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy!

One of the best jigging rap videos I’ve seen
Thanks so much! I super appreciate that!
Livescope is incredible. Just WOW
It’s pretty awesome to get your bait in front of fish at all times! Getting em to bite is another story sometimes.
Excellent camera views. Really good job showcasing the live scope.
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback!
Good morning , I watched this particular video to the end and enjoyed it quite a bit. Nice channel and you just got another Sub.👍
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the support 👊
Thanks! Good vid, near you , been doing well with glade baits this year.
Thank you very much! I have not done much with those. Do you fish them deep?
Just earned yourself a new subscriber! I just recently got a scope on the boat and I really wanna use it to target some walleye.
Appreciate it, man! Be careful - it’s addicting! 😉
Hey, that's my lake! Lol. Awesome video. This is the Canadian whitetail killer haha
You bet! Don’t be stealing all my secrets now 😉
Nice video love it looks like some free time for you👍
Thanks, Troy! Was definitely nice to have a morning to get out and film!
Please tell us more about the livescope cone. How to cast and stay in the "cone" ? This is the hardest part
I would agree - it can be so hard to see your jig unless it’s big. You need to make sure your transducer is lined up exactly with your handle. If you cast I can see it I will move the transducer a little bit to try change the angle and sometimes that helps a lot. I have mine on RAM mount though so I can manipulate it a lot.
So where do you have your lice scope mounted and what settings do you use? lov your videos keep them coming.
Appreciate it, Eric! I mount mine right next to where I am sitting at my console. Right above my throttle essentially.
Here is a video to my settings:

would like to see the set up of your transducer and how you rig and utilize that. I have been comtemplating getting livescope and permanently mounting it. But am not sure if something more portable/moveable would be better.
Yeah I was trying to decide what all to put in the video. Might have to do another one on that. I have the ice bundle from garmin and just move it back and forth from the boat. I needed a longer cable to mount the black box under my console and then I just use the summit pole with a ram mount attached to my boat. Not as portable, but works better for guiding because it’s more tucked away. I just used the ice kit last year and just pulled it out when I needed and it worked fine!
Hey could you list your lifescope settings that was an awesome video!! Thanks
Hey Eric - glad you enjoyed! Here’s a video with my Livescope settings - hope this helps!

Nice demonstration of using Livescope with the jigging raps. What kind of dog?
Thank you very much! She is a Maltese Poodle mixture!
I have seen you on the lake before.
Awesome! Come say hi next time you see me!
@@tjsguideservice I saw you on patato lake this summer and you said good job after loading up the boat. It was a gray 2020 ranger
@@derekmay3151 right on! Hopefully I’ll see you around this summer!
@@tjsguideservice ya I just got the humminbird mega live today
@@derekmay3151 sweet! You’re gonna love it
Great video.. What kind of lure was you using? Also your Lasko looked really good can you tell me your settings that you use.
I was using a Rapala Jiggin Rap.
Here is a link to all of my settings:
ua-cam.com/video/Aq4bPWmFBas/v-deo.html
what was the rod reel combo you used in this? and thanks for sharing!
You bet! I am using a Rosemore Outdoor Gear 7’ Medium Light Extra Fast with a Piscifun Carbon X 2000 reel.
Einstein of being thankful for what you catch. You all say not a big one. Like all you catch is 5lbs.
lot easier to use on a calm day
I agree 100%. With how good spot lock has gotten combined with the weight of the jiggin rap does make it possible with some wind though.
What livescope pole are you using?
Thank you
This is the summit pole, but I have recently updated to a pole I like a lot more and it is the arclab pole and mount. Here’s a video run through of that set up.
ua-cam.com/video/71knr7sJyS0/v-deo.html
would have been nice to hear about technique and how you presented the jig rather than watch a vague sonar image
Thanks for the feedback! I will keep that in mind.
Rio that’s the easy part. Just lift and drop over and over. If the bottom comes “early” that’s a fish :) getting a simultaneous view of the fisherman and livescope is awesome!
Nice video but get to scheels and get larger hooks on your raps man ! Those factory ones suck!
I have tried those before and I didn’t seem to notice much of a difference. Although I probably should have given it more of a chance. I have also tried using a single hook instead of the treble. Have you had any experience with that?
@@tjsguideservice I've never done the single hook we use mustad triple grips size 4 and it makes a stupid difference how many fish hook up and how many fish stay hooked if they get on where you have them they don't come off
I may have to give it another shot!
