You know you are a planner girl when you have been excited for this video to come out and watch the entire thing as soon as you can, and you don't even use a daily planner. 😂 Fantastic video as always, Amanda! It really helped to see each day written out. And it surprised me that of all the layouts I like the Plum Paper one best! I wasn't expecting that. Thank you for putting all of the work into this! 🥰🤗
This was an amazing review! And thank you so much for the idea of using a notebook for daily planning, I find myself only using the to do side of daily planners and also not need a daily every single day. A notebook is the perfect solution for this!
Thank you for this video. I applied for the Life Enrichment Director position at my job. It’s just a fancy way of saying activity director of an assisted living facility. I am looking for a daily planner for my work planner, which has been a challenge and overwhelming, still trying to find daily planners. I have liked the EC planners but I do work weekend days and need the full daily days and a place I can keep track of a schedule. I’m am so bummed that EC doesn’t offer that on the weekend. I have been really in to the plum paper planners. I like the way I can personalize the sections, and now that I see they have the full day weekend, finally I have found out my perfect work planner. Talk about relief.
So glad you are loving your Plum Paper:) Keep your eyes out...EC will launch a new Daily Duo in just a few weeks! My pre-launch video will have the daily Duo in it on April 28th:)
Thank you, Amanda, for such an in-depth comparison of all these planners❤ I know it took a lot of work to prepare for this video. I like your idea of having a notebook handy for daily. Great for those days you need to detail out your plans👍
Awesome review. I saw some planners I never heard of before. I'm going to watch this again. I love that you show real pages you have written in and how you explain the paper too. Tooth and color are so important for us paper and pen people! Thank You!!!
I subscribed to your channel today. Mainly because of the fact : using a notebook for planning is so budget friendly! Use a regular calendar (from Target dollar spot this year), a weekly planner (from TJMaxx this year), and a notebook. My current notebook only has a few pages left so I started watching planning videos this weekend to get some new ideas. I just refuse to pay the extremely HIGH prices for some of the planners. I do enjoy stickers, washi tape, and decorating my planner. I have a notebook from Fringe that someone gave to me that I will use beginning this week for my daily lists.
Great video. I used to use plum paper but now use a stalogy 365 as I can use the times on the side to put my schedule in on one page and then use as many pages as I want for lists/notes. So can totally relate to you enjoying a simple notebook :)
Loved the video! Stopped using Daily Duo a month ago switched to the EC Academic Planner. I love the idea of a daily planner but can be overwhelming. Excited about the new planners EC is coming out with. I am glad I have until December to see if I will change or stick with the Academic planner. Thank you for all the work you do.
I think the Day Designer and new Whitney English one are the only ones I haven’t tried 🙊. This is my second week using only an A5 EC softbound weekly - trying to keep it simple and figure out if I really need a daily.
Your videos are the best! So good to see the planner facts of several options...love the Limelife planner - both daily and weekly - America 🇺🇸 made ... ultra smooth 80# paper...very customizable with great add-ons like page protectors, extra lined pages, budget, meal planning, and so much more! The owner, Lesley, is a great! The one thing I don’t like is that my vinyl repositionable stickers pull the paper up about 50% of the time - tears paper and can make the sticker unusable...i hate to even have to list that one thing because everything else about the planner and the company is awesome! I do love the feel of the buttery paper though 💜
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Limelife:) I did a review for them way back when I first started my channel and I thought it was a great planner too:)
Thank you for another awesome video!! I am currently in a passion planner daily but have my eyes on a couple of options for my next daily. I heard that MakseLife is coming out with a daily and can’t wait to check that out too. Thanks for your very detailed and informative videos as always!!
I love this video! I’m really wanting to purchase a daily planner but I struggle with the idea of my stickers being used in one day and then that’s it! 😂 I also like keeping my planners for memories but don’t think I’d keep my daily for memories. What’s the best way to recycle old planners?
I understand about stickering a daily planner! That would be a lot of stickers! I personally just put them in our recycle bin...our city takes notebooks like that. Some cities might make you remove the coils.
Amanda, which daily planner (dated or undated) has the most pages? Looking for a chunky full year or as close to it as I can get? Doesn't matter if it is coiled or softbound...
I am not sure which one has the most pages...All the ones with a full year (dated) plus extra pages are chunky! And some undated might have a full year...I'd have to go research. Sorry I am not much help here. But all the full year ones are chunky.
Great review, Amanda! I used a plain notebook for years as my daily =) Currently, using Kit Life, It's my favorite layout. I have no idea how you remember all the info on all the planners, lol. Thank you for all you do XO
Thanks for sharing Vickie....I am so glad you are loving KitLife. I really like their layout too. And I have no idea idea how I remember anything either;) LOL. Most of the time I have cheat sheets in front of me. This video I wrote it all in the planners themselves.
the Erin Condren Daily Duo is sold out (im guessing because it says 'COMING SOON' online) :( I want to patiently wait for it to be in stock but the hubby and I need planners ASAP. how do you feel about the Simplied planner by Emily Ley? i like both of these the best. how to rate the simplied planner side by side to the daily duo? i'm a stay at home with chores, appt's, church stuff and goals. i got both tabs open right now stuck on what to do lol thanks, Felicia
Hi Felicia, The Daily Duo will be improved and released the beginning of May (they haven't announced launch date yet.....) But I have the items in hand and my review video will be released April 28th to help you make your decision. I would really wait till then to decide. Try to hold out:) Emily Ley Simplified planner is wonderful too...and I used it for 4 years. But the Daily Duo has made some improvements for this next year and for me personally I would pick it now. But that is just a personal preference.
So many people love their unique Daily layout! And the fact that you can get it in different sizes and start any month you want...the options are awesome:)
Have you tried or reviewed Simply Yours Day Planner by Planned and Proper? I absolutely love Planned and Proper planner paper and the writing space on each layout.
The only other planner with the 80# mohawk paper that has tooth (texture) to it just like EC is Golden Coil. They are even more pricey because it is a customized planner. Many other planners have 80# paper. It's just not the same as EC.
I didn't have a daily happy planner to put in this video. Sorry:( I have reviewed the weekly happy planner and the wellness one before in a video. They are a great brand!
Lined notebooks are just lined notebooks and a massive waste of money from these companies. You could have included 6 more actual planners instead of the lined bullet journal notebooks. The important difference between notebooks and planners is planners provide some structure for you. Otherwise it's a good review
Thank you for that feedback. I do understand your point of view...and I did spend a lot of time on them. They are my favorite daily planner right now...but will definitely keep this in my for future comparison videos.
@@AmandasFavorites I actually liked seeing the notebooks. For me it was a nice reminder that sometimes a notebook for daily lists will work just as well as a daily planner for different seasons of life, and I don't always need a structured daily planner depending on my season of life (even though I look at them each release and sale!). I am picky about the paper and darkness of the lines on my paper so liked the feedback on those products as well.
Thank you for chiming in here. I really appreciate knowing that part helped you. And it just reminds me that what bothers one person might be something that helps another;)

There are some great options in here! So many planners with their own unique daily layouts. Thanks for featuring us Amanda we are so appreciative ❤️
You are so welcome!
I love that the planners you are using actually look like a real life is happening in them! And I always appreciate your reviews.
Thank you Stephanie:)

Daily palooza! I'm also more descriptive with tasks when I use a daily.
I am pretty descriptive or I forget all the details! My mind needs all the help it can get;)

I totally agree, it can be overwhelming to have a big 7x9 daily page;) thanks for watching and taking time to share and chat;)
Loved the intro! I had no idea because I’m relatively new-loved knowing you have more to check out!
Oh, good:) Welcome Molly!

Great video as always! Finishing up the last 2.5 months in my Plum Paper and going back to my Simplified in July is my current plan.
You've got a plan! Sounds like you know what you like now;)
You can add pages after each month with a plum planner. I do that with fitness pages on mine
Good point that I did not mention! Thank you for chiming in:)

Thanks for sharing;) It's nice when you figure out exactly what you like bc there is no more wasting money:)
Loving the EC daily duo. Would love it more if Saturday and Sunday had their own pshes
EC is doing sneak peaks this month for their launch and I think that might happen. It hasn't been shown yet in the peeks though;)
They will be having their own page!
YES!
Wow loved this! I gotta check out amplified planner!
