If you don't plan to change loadouts every game, one viable alternative for keeping any loose bits (like smaller hull bolters, or even part 10F, which is the big top plate on turret that clamps guns in place) is acrylic caulking. It ca be bought in small tubes with thin applicator, and it create rubbery joint (think of blutac that been dried out) that is juuuust strong enough ro keep parts, ane be easily removed (I didn't tested it but I'm pretty sure it actually can be cleaned with acrylic paint stripper)
I found that for the sponsons, you don’t even need magnets. The top piece stays in nice and snug already, and the bottom one can be given a better fit by just putting a little bit of plastic cement in all of the weapons’ bottom ports and a bit on the bottom pieces, and then it’ll stay in just fine.
after magnetization of the turret itself, the "breach cover" (the flap like thing above the barrel that attaches to the top cover of the turrent) is just glued in place right ? i didnt quite make it out in the video and i'm still not quite finished with the kit myself. At the moment i left the battrels as is and just used some sticky poster glue balls to fix the top plate in place (i can just pop it off on demand and change the barrels that way) But on seeing your way and finished product i think i will go back to it and do it "properly" so that the barre can just slide out. My fear and reason for stalling so long was that the cover i mentioned would interfere with pulling out the barrel, as i saw an earlier magnetized model that had the cover moving to be able to slot the main barrels But thanks to your video i now have drive to finish the build phase of the tank ^^ (now i only need to figure out how to magnetize the pintle weapons to be able to have a 100% interchangeable kit should the need arise ^^)
Hey! Yes the breach cover is glued in fully! That's why I had to remove those flat sided sloped tabs to allow the barrels to be swapped out easily 😁 good luck with your conversion!!
What does activator do exactly? I don't superglue a lot if I can help it because I always get it on my fingers and then have to put up with weird skin for a day or so, but I've got a couple things I want to magnetise, may as well learn some techniques.
Not a list as such, but everything was 3mm×2mm except the big chunky magnet under the grille on the turret, which was I think 8mm×3mm! (It was just one I had hanging around)

Very helpful video on how to magnetize the Kratos tank!
My Akshually senses were tingling when you mentioned aluminium and magnets. 😂
It's a sheet of some kind of magnet friendly metal I guess 🤷♂️😅
Probably stainless steel. Thin enough that tin snips still make short work of it I see, so all good either way!

I'm magnetizing ny Kratos while watching your Tau vs Necron game with Winters SEO
A very meta experience
@@SultanPlays40k You're trying to kill his Warlord right now. I'm rooting for you past Sultan
That was extremely satisfying to watch. I've been illuminated.
🤣😁
What size magnets have you used on this?

Cool video mate. Will keep this in mind if I get one.
Perfect!

These are great keep it up :)
Thank you!!
Is there a way to magnetize the dozer blade?
Nice, that’ll save me some time figuring it out 👍
Mission complete!
Hi, great video, do you have list of magnet sizes you use?
Not a list as such, but everything was 3mm×2mm except the big chunky magnet under the grille on the turret, which was I think 8mm×3mm! (It was just one I had hanging around)
Excellent!
Did you do the same for the dreadnought and the tank in the core box?
I did for the Dreadnought! The Spartan doesn't need much magnetising!
do you have the list of magnets size used?

You need a montage 😂
This one is 🤩
Boy!
