Wow. Awesome video, Creek! Thanks for posting it. I especially like the idea of carrying a little salt in a medicine bag. I guess rendering deer fat is an entire course?
Amazing! There's probably a lot of edibles out there that would benefit from being cooked in deer fat, and I'll bet the little bit of salt makes it even better!
Adirondack, basswood...these are all my favorite types of woods that make up my favorite guitars!👍😎 Wonderful video as usual. Thanks Creek👍😎 👍😎❤🖖 Love brother
Creek...does this mean you're my new sales competition in the world of BACON? Ha! Awesome video, man. Great job as always educating the masses. My girls will love watching this video and learning something new. It's amazing how God truly does provide all we need to survive. God bless!
Another exceptional video, my friend, but two questions do come to mind... First, my fellow knife collector, which knife is that that you’re using? And second, why did you choose to scrape with the cutting edge, itself, instead of the spine? Thanks again, as always, Doug
This was a fun one I found a bass wood tree a few weeks ago that will be used this way. Thanks for your time and knowledge. Fire on my friend and stay safe. One of these days in the spring I'll be coming by just to visit. Till then have a good day
Nice topic and video, Creek. What kind of nutritional value (aside from lots of fiber, I assume) does the basswood bark contain? I'm thinking of carbs, protein, or vitamins? Medicinal value? Thanks, much. Lovin' your videos ...
What a wonderful video. However, is there a way to remove the commercials in the middle of the video? Every minute there seems to be a commercial popping up. It makes it really hard to watch the video. Thanks for the inspiring content, Creek!
If you don't have any deer fat handy, you can port some bacon fat or beef fat into the woods with you, and take some maple bacon season salt along! Mmmm mmmmm mmmm!

Now I want to try bark bacon. That’s the first time I got to see you eat you tender bundle from a feather stick.
I dont remove the outer layer tho, there's where the good stuff's at! Nice video.
