Use light tanks as support vehicles, don’t rush and try to just kill as much as you can. Use your smoke to hide your infantry advance and use your arms to lay suppressive fire as your squad advances
Lot of people don't know how to use the tanks I love tanks so I know what to do and how to do it. That's the number one thing I see people do wrong if they drive the tanks right into enemy infantry thinking that they are untouchable! Definitely suicide! Tanks are infantry support they are supposed to and designed to be close to infantry. That's why there are those videos of ambushed tanks because they wandered far from their infantry and were targeted by diversants
@@spankyjeffro5320 Look at any military manual , tanks are designed to be close to infantry , if they are not close to infantry well then you are living in a fantasy world , those tanks that were not in cloes proximity to infantry were subject to demolition crews . Its as simple as that. Its nice to imagine how world of tanks or war thunder tanks are realistic but no they are not realistic simply because there is no infantry present, those kinds of tank battles never happaned, unless its very specific freak accident. Some tanks had specific jobs but it was always close to infantry unless we are talking artillery in which case it depends on the situation , whether artilery is placed close to infantry or not. You see tanks and infantry have a symbiotic relationship , no one would dare peek out at tank and its good for infantry to be in close proximity to a tank on the other hand tanks are vulnerable to demolition crew , with infantry around its hard for any demolition crew to ambush a tank , and you are not wrong with saying that a tank is a mobile weapon system , yes it is a mobile weapon system used as infantry support .
The problem I have with the base tank (the first one you unlock in the Normandy campaign as the Allies) is the HE round has no splash damage on infantry or destroyable buildings. I would see a squad or more bunched up and only the guy who my reticle was one would be killed. Is it an upgrade thing or is that just how it works for the base tank? I don’t have any trouble using AP on other tanks and I’ve killed a few tigers even but whenever I use HE on infantry I’ll get maybe one or two kills even when there’s 5 of em bunched up.

Dont forget that running over infantry in a fast tank is the best way to save ammo, get kills while reloading, cause chaos, and dodge explosives. Alot of people will just park the tank and get flanked easily when shooting at infantry.
Ya sure that might sound like a good idea... But rushing ur tank into infantry is NOT a good idea. You need to stick close to your own infantry, so they can cover you from flankers or people with based etc. Tanks should be used more as support and not as a entirely offensive thing. on the crew positions: there are some crew skills (3 in fact) that are position specific: +90% speed gear shifting (driver) cost 8 green perk point (agility?) change ammo type without losing reload progress (loader) cost 13 green perk point improved targeting skill of tank gun (gunner) cost 16 yellow perk point (strength?) the first two are easy to understand the effects, but for the latter i'm not sure how much it affects the gunnery, does it means the gunner use the controls faster? does he practice horizontal and vertical training of the gun at the same time? both? i'm kind of lost on what it does since it's so vague

So you know where the turret is usually it’s smart to hit there as most of the crew is located there and also just aim for tracks or flank around and unload into the engine
What i found out (i main allies on normandy)the allies tanks for the most part are super weak i use the jumbo which i think is THE beefiest tank on allies but i feel like there is alot of german tanks that seemingly have no green or orange spots on the front(head to head fighting) BUT with the exception of the barrel so even the strongest tanks have weak barrels and will blow out the barrel rendering the tank useless regardless of the armor obviously the crew has to jump out and repair the tank which makes killing the crew pretty easy
I know your problem. In War Thunder, there are MANY MANY tank shell types. The shells you are testing within War Thunder are most likely APHE (A combination of AP and HE which penetrates the tank THEN explodes) In Enlisted, however, there are only 2 shell types for those tanks: HE and AP AP Is practically a metal slug that has no explosive powder (makes it more difficult to explode ammunition and fuel but creates spalling and shrapnel which can kill crew) HE is a shell that has lots of explosive power but has little to no penetration (Better suited towards infantry, stationary, and very light tanks) To test these more effectively you can go under the shell list in the Protection Analysis and then you can hover over each shell with your mouse to figure out whether it's AP or HE (whichever one you're testing)

Why is the HE round from the Stuart have no blast radius, it’s seriously useless against infantry. I have literally shot an HE round at someone FOOT and I don’t even get a hit marker. I don’t have any other tanks unlocked yet but I hope they are better than this thing.
The Scott and Sherman's HE is much much better. The Stuart's cannon is tiny. HE rounds from it have less explosive packing than a hand grenade. Use those MG's!

Thank you for the tutorial! I managed to destroy a sherman firefly thanks to you. (Using the third german tank also some jumbo tanks)
I've played this game a bit on and off and I try to drive tanks but usually it doesn't end well or even start well for that matter, lol. I usually leave the spawn and get one shot by another tank after I kill some infantry. I don't know if it was me positioning my tank wrong or what so I decided to watch your video. After I watched your video I went straight into a match as the germans and used the Pz. III N. I don't know if it was a fluke or what but I got 85 kills, 56 of the 85 kills were on objective offense, 6 tanks destroyed, and the only squad I lost was that tank squad at the end of the match. I had best tanker, best vehicle squad, ranged master, and crusher. So, thank you for the help/advice!
I can still learn quite a lot eventhough if I play war thunder, nice video :)
Use light tanks as support vehicles, don’t rush and try to just kill as much as you can. Use your smoke to hide your infantry advance and use your arms to lay suppressive fire as your squad advances
if you played war thunder sim your good
(Also nice guide its quite helpful)
So true
The German Tiger series have around 3 mgs one in the turret one for the comander and one in the hull
I'm a new player and this was very helpful, thank you!
War Thunder player here.
Laughing hysterically at Stuart bouncing ammo...NO CHANCE IN HELL.
Lot of people don't know how to use the tanks I love tanks so I know what to do and how to do it. That's the number one thing I see people do wrong if they drive the tanks right into enemy infantry thinking that they are untouchable! Definitely suicide! Always keep your tank around friendly Infantry because just like you said in the video they will be somebody C4 or grenades ready to blow your shit up and all they got to do is plant in the back of your tank and you're done! Good video 💪
Tanks are infantry support they are supposed to and designed to be close to infantry.
That's why there are those videos of ambushed tanks because they wandered far from their infantry and were targeted by diversants
No, they're not. They're mobile weapon platforms, emphasis on mobile. While support is handy, no, they're not "designed" to be close to infantry.
Good guide :)
I'm pretty sure the loader increases rate of fire, and I wish you could use the hull MG
Tanks so much for this tutorial!
Update: I now love playing tanks despite how limited the view is now! Got so many tank kills and assists in the 5 or so games I played yesterday
Shoot at the ground or a wall right by them
hold on tho, you did not answer how to not get stuck in trenches part
Drive better lel
Step #1: Don't go near trenches. Step 2#: Repeat Step 1.
usually by trenches there're some ramps. Annoying as hell to use but they work
If you were wondering, the models and many mechanics were imported from war thunder
Great info. Any chance of doing one on planes next?
I want to, but in all honesty I'm a terrible pilot lol. My last 3 streams have been filled with my chat making fun of me for repeatedly crashing

My warthunder skills shall be put to the test. And I won't forget the angle my tiger.
See too many people driving into the enemy in their own and dying quick
First time I used my tank squad I got an unbelievable amount of kills
this is a great guide, thank you
Just went 111 no deaths with my first tank gameplay been playing a hour lol
Apparently having the loader seat occupied, decreases the gun loading time.. don't have it empty..
This didnt used to be the case, but it would make sense now that there is loader specific perks!
I can confirm running enemies over is effective
on the crew positions: there are some crew skills (3 in fact) that are position specific:
+90% speed gear shifting (driver) cost 8 green perk point (agility?)
change ammo type without losing reload progress (loader) cost 13 green perk point
improved targeting skill of tank gun (gunner) cost 16 yellow perk point (strength?)
the first two are easy to understand the effects, but for the latter i'm not sure how much it affects the gunnery, does it means the gunner use the controls faster? does he practice horizontal and vertical training of the gun at the same time? both? i'm kind of lost on what it does since it's so vague
Someone else mentioned that it probably means they can move the turret both vertically and horizontally at the same time (something they normally dont do)
It was the battle of berlin, We were crewed in our ol darling, a panzer 4 J..we had crashed in a artillery hole and was stuck as the soviets stormed.
We rained machine gun fire and tank rounds, even knocked out 3 tanks before we finally got out of the hole and destroyed 2 more.

I have a question for you Quadro that maybe you have noticed in testing or in gameplay. I have been testing HE use on Pumas with the stuart, and for SOME reason if you put 1 shot near the top of the tank it seems to ricochet through the back of the tank for 2-3 seconds and then kill some crew? it dosnt show it on the shot cam. but i tried it twice and both were shoot he- 3 seconds pass and boom the crew dies out of nowhere in the puma.
Yeah i could see this happening, top armor is really thin, especially on the Puma. Perhaps youre lighting the engine on fire too?
@@HeyQuadro as far as visual ques not so much. its litterally like the shrapnel takes a few seconds to reach the crew but without any feedback?? maybe its a bug and it is on fire? give it a shot and see if you can recreate! i hit side turret with it at 90 degrees. so tank facing north and turret facing west i hit turret over back part of tank. this happend, as well as a shot on topish of turret.
yeah using xbox controller hard to control tanks in it the reticule goes moving way to fast sometimes to even be able to aim correctly am i doing something wrong the only way i can actualy geta kill with controller is whn i stay still and hidden like in trees
You could adjust your controller sensitivity
Would be nice if you could use the hull MG.
does every map have a reload area, or station for tanks? Engineers i wonder when you set up ur AT canon, can you also set up Extra Ammo for the AT? i know you can set up ammo for infantry but don't know if it work for the AT gun as well haven't tried it too excited heat of the moment lol ty 4 video friendo
i don't think it works that way for either AT or AA guns
How or can you resupply once you've run out of ammo in a tank?
You can only do it in Conquest. Youll see a little circle with ammo inside it on your screen! It sorta looks like an objective marker
11:15 no acuttaly if you shoot there and penetrate and the turret is turn the same way you will kill the 3 crew members and the 4 one behind
enlisted is fun to a degree...would be nice to not die through walls constantly though
"You're not gonna get as many kills as infantry"
Proceeds to mow down armies of dudes.
Another tip. This isn't battlefield! You can't just run up on a tank if its sitting in the open. You try that battlefield suicide kill all tanks playstyle you gon die! Again... And again... And again... (I know you know what im talking about lurkers)
Flank that thing vision is limited and there is no 3rd person camera the best chance you got is if you hear/see that tank engaging enemy infantry or vehicles.
hahaha I always aim for the gun barrel....just an old habit from War thunder but man i do enjoy using tank again infantry....HE goes kabooom
The tank status thing looks just like in war thunder
bruh and my dumass thought RED means fatal dmg -.-
I was wondering how tf I never kill enemie tanks xd
Me too hahahahah
How 🤦🏽♂️ Tf did you think was green then? Vegan? 🤨
Berlin campaign variant:
1.Spawn 2.Jagdpanther is literally aimed at you already 3.Die 4.Spawn your radio squad, hide in a corner and cry calling art support every minute to reach 6k score while your team's failing miserably.
If there were 3 players including you, could you all get in the same tank and be separate rolls (driver, gunner, commander)?
yes
you def don't want the shell hitting you perpendicular. @4:40 your effective armor is thicker at an angle
As a War Thunder player with more than 6k hours in game with most being in tanks, Enlisted is a wee bit different, ive only gotta to lvl 15 in the Normandy campaign, with that being said, aiming for the 3rd roller wheels on shermans is your best bet, thin armor that takes a skilled player to angle right where the 50mm on the Puma wont pen. The infantry aspect of enlisted still catches me offf guard as i get zoned in supressive fire/going for tanks than some salty boi comes up and turns me into a wreckage heep. I really hope at some point Enlisted has working adjustable sights, AS i have a few custom sights for my WT tank that work just fine,
Sure you need loader. When he is killed, it takes ages to reload. Especially if you end up just with two guys - driver and gunner/commander.
very useful! 👍
played War Thunder for 3k hours already, feels like they reduced the post penetration damage for tanks in Enlisted for balancing purpose (?)
in some occasion, Pz. II C can't even penetrate T-60 rear turret armor smh

I've been playing a lot lately and every time I play the Battle of Berlin, my tank is getting oneshot and I have to put a lot of effort into blowing up the enemy tanks (I play the Germans and speaking of tank to tank combat). Does anyone have any tips as to how to handle my situation? Also I'm colourblind so the green/yellow crosshair is impossible to tell the difference for me - though I can see if it's red or not.
Any kind of help would be appreciated!
tip #1 is dont play berlin Axis because your team will be mostly bots.
tip #2 is to go to the practice range and test out how to kill enemy tanks. T34 is weak at the neck
also sorry about your colorblindness. We've been trying to push for better accessibility for awhile now but no luck
So you know where the turret is usually it’s smart to hit there as most of the crew is located there and also just aim for tracks or flank around and unload into the engine
I wish my teams' tanks were like you, instead I got them on the enemy team lmao
What i found out (i main allies on normandy)the allies tanks for the most part are super weak i use the jumbo which i think is THE beefiest tank on allies but i feel like there is alot of german tanks that seemingly have no green or orange spots on the front(head to head fighting) BUT with the exception of the barrel so even the strongest tanks have weak barrels and will blow out the barrel rendering the tank useless regardless of the armor obviously the crew has to jump out and repair the tank which makes killing the crew pretty easy
the M3 Stuart is a lot different than War Thunder M3 Stuart, like im shooting paint balls
I know your problem.
In War Thunder, there are MANY MANY tank shell types.
The shells you are testing within War Thunder are most likely APHE (A combination of AP and HE which penetrates the tank THEN explodes)
In Enlisted, however, there are only 2 shell types for those tanks: HE and AP
AP Is practically a metal slug that has no explosive powder (makes it more difficult to explode ammunition and fuel but creates spalling and shrapnel which can kill crew)
HE is a shell that has lots of explosive power but has little to no penetration (Better suited towards infantry, stationary, and very light tanks)
To test these more effectively you can go under the shell list in the Protection Analysis and then you can hover over each shell with your mouse to figure out whether it's AP or HE (whichever one you're testing)
Hi everyone! Nice vid! But i have a question unanswered : I'm playing on series X and with controller. I'm having serious problems managing with gears, often I'm struggling stopping my tank and shot to someone ... Since i love being a tanker, this "feature" it's killing me. Sry for bad english, but if Someone understood please answer me
unfortunately my only real advice here is to try to "reverse" with your tank to bring yourself to a full stop quickly. Tanking on console is really rough from what I understand.
@@HeyQuadro It Is, actually... :(
Why is the HE round from the Stuart have no blast radius, it’s seriously useless against infantry.
Use those MG's!
what is the actual use of the he then....
@@dakotadawn5789 The use of HE for the 37mm was for clearing bunkers. In Enlisted, its good for that and for suppressing enemies.
@@HeyQuadro the blast radius sucks though, when shooting into the bunker you are gonna hit the opposite wall because of geometry works like that....and you are unlikely to hit anyone

@@goatcar4599 Yeah. Sadly. The bikes are ok but I would really like something like the BA-11 or smaller and faster. Kinda bridge the gap between the bikes and the Puma.
@@psychobeam99 I feel like armored cars would be kinda op though. Having a fast, manueverable, and armed vehicle will decimate infantry. If they do add armored cars I think it should be something unarmed, just used to get around the map quickly and flank your enemies.
