My dad & uncle took me to this for my 14th Bday- my 1rst pro sports event. Pause it at 6:20 "Case get's another chance" cross- I'm in the red white beanie on upper left. It's surreal rewatching this in the US- great memories! One of the best nights of the 4 years living in the UK! Still Liverpool supporter.
Stan Bowled was a joy to watch at his best and just like so many of the flair players of the time, Worthington, Hudson Osgood etc, The stories about him off the pitch were the stuff of legend for us kids. Fantastic
I was at this game with my mate who is a qpr fan had one of the best days of my life, afterwards when the game was finished we waited until everybody had left walked around on all the stands we then went on the pitch walked up the small players tunnel and opened the door of one of the changing rooms and had a brief peak inside there wasn't a person in sight no security no groundmen even to this day i can't believe how me and my mate managed to do that the stadium was just abandoned maybe we where lucky different times today
Ray Kennedy one of liverpool's all time greats, sad he fell on hard times and the club did not help. Instead we wasted money on the spice boys and shite like el haj diouf.
This game is how the beautiful game was once played, some rough n tumble, some excellent tackles, attempts on goal, Hardly an advertisement or sponsors name in sight, Not to mention Players feigning injury to get the op[position player booked, which is everywhere in the modern game, Diving in the box at the slightest contact, I have not seen any of that in this game,
Was a great battle,beautiful show!

Barry Davies introduced Stan Bowles as Stan Laurel !! Haha 😄
Lots of players slipping on the pitch. (Even the referee gets in on the act). QPR had some nice passing moves, however. They were not bad.
Some great videos Mr Footy. Where do you get them all from?
poor ref , missed 3 yellows for liverpool yet deemed stan bowles was one.
