I believe this is circa 2002 since Jeff is listening to the "Double Live Annihilator" version of the song with Joe Comeau on vocals. Its cool to see Waters taking some of his time to make a tutorial. It shows how down to earth the guy is. Truly an inspiration.
No later. Jeff wasn't using social media at that time yet, and this is geared towards general social media audience (Facebook/UA-cam didn't even exist yet). He didn't have long hair at that time either. I think this was recorded somewhere between 2006-2009.
lol this is why I respect Jeff so much. So much talent, yet can still goof about a mistake here and there. You're so awesome man. You inspire me daily. Also, badass chops. But I'm sure you here that daily as well. :p
feels blessed to have oportunity to jam along with you favourite musician. hardly seen any musician to cut off of his time to just spread love and calm vibes
Also! If ever you decide to do a lesson for the guitar parts for "Invite It", I know a few guitarists that would greatly, greatly appreciate it. Well...I would anyway, since I'd like to try my hand at it. But the riff at 2:47 is just so damned monsterous, I can't quite figure it out. You're amazing man. Never stop.
Wow one of the best basslines ever! Btw how old is the footage? or has Jeff grown his hair back. Wish I had a decent bass to play this at least I can play it on guitar :D
I know I'm probably never going to get a answer but, Jeff what tuning did you using on Alice In Hell ( The Album ) since I'm using standard tuning and trying to learn WTYD ( Great Song BTW) and the tuning just sounds off, So can you please help me out? ( Oh and the frequency since I've been using everything even 441)

First 90's (prob) cover of oneself, Jeff's the father of the youtube trends!
Every song on Alice is a 1/4 step down from E standard. Regular E standard in this video though. Going to pick up the bass and give this a try.

I believe it's tuned halfway between E standard and D#
I'm so into the casting! \m/
Nice Jeff! When was this recorded?
Did you grow your hair out again? If so, I approve. Because you need some random dude's approval, right?
Nice bass! What model is that?
Can we get more of this Jeff? 😅
Buenisimo, soy guitarrista, pero me agrada el bajo en esa cancion!
Jeff rules!
I'm a finger bassist not a pick bassist :(
Spacesonia
take a pick in your hand...hello pick bassist.
Ellefson changed to Pick too.
Spacesonia You can also play it with fingers :)
Jeff said on fbook that he's looking for a pick player...
onpsxmember Oh, I see.
:(
whats the tuning my dude
Mr. Waters, can you tell why "Alice in Hell" album was recorded in a little bit out-of-tune? Not clean A=440?
Very interesting to know!
Maybe 432?
@@bassgrooves8679 nope..
