    I worked with a lad from Huyton......Back in around 2004/5, he got killed by a hit and run driver by the Grafton....
    A taxi driver saw the incident and followed the driver so got nicked the little rat.....👏🏼👏🏼
    This lads name was Terry Smith....he was from Huyton himself......28 when he died I think.....I was only 19 when he passed away.....I'm 37 now and think what would he be up to now....46 he'd be. RIP Terry Smith. 🙏🏻❤️

    I am baffled as to how many people have purely commented on the Police response. I wonder how many actually know what goes on at a potential murder scene?
    Some of the cars there are armed response vehicles and traffic cars, as those Officers are advanced trauma trained (very similar level to paramedics). As I'm sure they expect the ambulance takes so long, they are sent to save the victims life. They won't remain to conduct an initial investigation as that is not their role.
    They also will need dog section, to search for any discarded weapons, clothing or other evidence nearby as well as try to track offenders (so 2 at least needed). Search teams to go and look for any evidence nearby along any suspected entry/exit routes (ASAP before any rain washes evidence away).
    Officers to escort the victim to hospital, one to remain with him, at least 1x to take statements from the ambulance staff, 1x to remain with the ambulance as that then becomes a crime scene also.
    Further Officers are needed to do house to house enquiries, take witness statements, CCTV and vehicle enquiries.
    Further Officers to staff the crime scene cordon to ensure no persons compromise it.
    Ideally a full specialist search team on top of that to search down drains, on rooves etc for the discarded weapon.
    Forensic teams and detectives also need to attend the scene as well as a Supervisor and a critical incident manager.
    So from looking at this footage, there actually aren't enough Police Officers there to do all this efficiently and immediately like textbook.
    Well done to those Officers who were there for setting up their crime scene immediately, beginning an investigation into a potential murder and potentially saving this lads life in the long time it took Ambulance to arrive.
    And yes, those Officers will be needed elsewhere. So let's blame the person/people who decided to stab someone and take so many resources away from other people who need it, not the Officers who have been prioritised to be sent there to help someone.

Something not correct in how 999 works and I’m not politically minded. We see things from a better vision when we’ve walked our own troubles owned them and grow through life seeing these same things. It's because the police station and hospital are on the same road, just goes to show which service gets more funding the police or the hospitals you can tell by the turn out of people
    great reporting bill, better than the echo

    • @bosco1013
      @bosco1013 2 роки тому +3

      Ambulances aren't based at Hospitals. The ambulance service & Hospitals are completely separate trusts and separately funded.

    • @xxx-xw8js
      @xxx-xw8js 2 роки тому +1

      @@bosco1013 still, the amount of police is vastly grater, all I'm pointing out is the police from what I can tell get a hell of a lot more funding than the hospitals (ambulance service) i looked on the maps and it said the nearest one was in Toxteth it's really close mate

    • @bosco1013
      @bosco1013 2 роки тому +2

      Ambulance service doesn't do operations, follow ups with their patients or conduct GP appointments. The police however have to do EVERYTHING in relation to police work. The police do preventative work, investigations, follow ups etc. The ambulance drops their patient off at Hospital and they move onto the next one. Their involvement with an incident is over very quickly. They don't need to see the victim the next day, week, month or year. The police however will be involved for months or even years. So rightly so, they have more funding to be able to do all of that work. Plus the fact the Police receive more 999 calls than any other emergency service. This gives the police the luxury of calling in on other resources when these kind of incidents happen. For example, traffic officers who are there to deal with traffic accidents, not stabbings... neighbourhood teams who's job is crime prevention and anti social behaviour can be called. The ambulance service cant call an NHS orthopedic surgeon out from a hospital to help them. They are completely different jobs, with the ambulance service moving on from an incident almost immediately, so it's very difficult to compare.
      And to add, from "what you can tell is wrong". NHS funding is greater than Police. Police just move resources and prioritise better.

    • @xxx-xw8js
      @xxx-xw8js 2 роки тому +1

      @@bosco1013, so would you have more police at this scene ? To me, it seems from what you have said the police are in desperate need of a restructure if they have to incorporate all these other side jobs onto their daily routine no wonder crime is spiralling out of control , it seems that as you have previously stated
      "The ambulance service cant call an NHS orthopaedic surgeon out from a hospital to help them. They are completely different jobs, with the ambulance service moving on from an incident almost immediately,"
      this would be a better layout for Merseyside police , but in the back of my mind I do think most of these jobs are padded out to create jobs within Merseyside police to make sure that next year's budget is spent and over by 10 % to obtain more funding (I have personally first hand seen this)
