とにかく変な人だなあと思って見ていたら「本当に変人」の役だったので納得しました。「君につづく道」の
ラストで孤児院に捨てられたシューラーが雑誌記者のレオが探し出してきた阿里山の土産物屋で働く母親と
再会するシーンでは一度も会ったことがないのになぜ母親はシューラーだとわかったのかと訝しんだのですが、
ノンシェンとシャオウーと3人で土産物屋に行った時にすでに会っていることに後から気が付きました。
そして雑誌記者のレオが取材で撮影したシューラーの写真を母親に渡して取材していたこともわかり腑に落ち
ました。母親に渡したいものがあると言って取り出したのは「ケチャップ」でした。孤児院の食事がまずかった
ため「何にでもケチャップをかける」習慣があったのですが、そのケチャップは母親が密かに差し入れていた
ものだったこともわかり、しんみりしました。シューラーの体の動きも変でそこまで役作りしたヴィック・チョウ
さんすごいと思います。アイドルが「変人」の役をやるのは勇気がいることだと思いました。
