- Rylee is back to tackle another challenge inside of Destiny 2, this time I decided to take on Lightfall without taking damage. I haven't ran too many lightfall challenge runs but I figured the perfect way to get ready for THE FINAL SHAPE is to run a good old challenge run for old times sake.

Imagine if you will, it's your first day on the job, patrolling Neptune for guardians and vex and all that, you turn and see a demigod strolling the streets. You panic and fire at him as fight or flight takes over, and barely graze his shoulder- he turns and- instead of instantly vaporizing you- takes out a very shoddy looking sidearm and shoves it into his own mouth.
I felt the speech in my soul man. I remember being in high school and watching my little brother play destiny on our shared Xbox 360, and then him coaching me thru the game when I asked if I could play. Years later when the pandemic hit and we were both adults he bought me witch queen and xbox ultimate so we could finally play together and since then we've been an inseparable fireteam of two. We both have hella social anxiety, so we don't do raids often (we sure as hell try to two man them though!), but we have so much fun anyway. I can't wait until tomorrow so we can log in together and experience the final shape together. I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else but my best friend
i don’t have any social anxiety but am a solo player. my experience with xbox lfg is mostly really good over my years of playing destiny! maybe you should try it once
@oversouledict2005 all the lfg posts I find are kwtd and I know next to nothing about any of the raids 😅 I've tried watching UA-cam tutorials but there's a huge difference between watching a video and actually doing it
@@virtualcontagion honestly most people will be chill if you join a kwtd fireteam and not know what to do, its luck of the draw but theres not much toxicity in my experience

I’m every one of your videos when you do a speech I almost relate to it so much cause I’ve gone through so much shit in my short life already, and from the way it’s been going it ain’t gonna slow down any time soon. I always relate to how destiny has been there for me nearly all my life, from watching my brothers play the taken king, to playing it myself, and now having defeated the witness I realize how much this game has been apart of my life, it’s been my life away from life, a distraction from my struggles against severe depression, anxiety, loneliness, and trauma that has caused trust issues. It’s a time where I can stop and rest, laugh with my brother as we play, and experience all that this game has to offer. I look back at the past few years now and realize and marvel at the fact I managed to go through all that suffering and pain, alone, thinking no one understood my pain. And especially recently where thing have gotten really bad, I remember watching your videos. Laughing, and nearly crying as I watched you do ridiculous challenge runs, and talk about your life. I want to thank you, even though you probably won’t see this comment at all I still do, I can’t thank you enough for what you’ve made and for what you’ve become. So I suppose we should keep fighting and keep climbing through this path we call life. And I just hope I’m able to see the other side of this wall, that I don’t give up before then. But I hope even more that everyone else gets to. You have given me confidence to at least try to fight through life. Thank you Rylee. May the light always be with you.

Your Fireteam talk reminded me of something that happened within the last month.
The friend of mine who got me started on destiny just recently got hacked and sadly he lost everything.
He was around since the beta as well. Though he doesn't have such a deep story with the game as you do, it is still his favourite game being with him for almost half his life.
And even with his original Guardian from back then gone and everything else as well to be fair, he still made a new account, bought all the avalible dlc, dungeon keys, etc. again and is playing on a new account now.
But aside from remembering that, i am happy to see you around again.
That little talk before the final mission was amazing.
Dude I was legit crying during that bit before Desperate Measures. Destiny has been such a great journey for me and I have grown as a person due to it. Im glad to have been here for so long and I am happy to end what I started when I destroyed the Black Heart. Good luck, Guardian!
once again Rylee out here being braver then most people. I only just did the lightfall campaign on legendary 2 days ago for my hunter. i haven't even had strand for my hunter for a full year. but still through all that i still needed help to get it done. big youchie.
I only play one class so I've been on easy street for upgrading myself! Calus is an easy 1-2 phase. Nothing like the good old floorboards tech.

@@RyleeReloaded if you were trying to optimize your builds wouldn't you treat resilience and regeneration like a dump stat? since they don't really do anything since you can't get hit anyways. might as well max out the others for cooldowns (except mobility. fuck mobility)

I always wondered why the player character bends their legs while climbing up the bars, never made any sense to me at all.
Until I seen a behind the scenes clip where they had a full motion tracking suit on a man, and he had to climb a few bars to get this animation right. Well it just so happened that this set of bars was only a few feet off the ground, and the man was taller than the set of bars he had to climb up. He grabbed the first bar and had to bend his knees up to get his feet off the ground to make the animation look more authentic.

The animation was last minute but I stayeed up for days trying to get it perfect for everyone. I re animated and had so many difficulties getting it to work. Had to hide a lot with camera angles but it all came together and in the end, I am at peace. Thanks for watching! it means a lot to me!

Rather than trying to learn the default controls for keyboard, clear all your keybinds and then bind each action to what YOU feel is natural. That is the key to learning keyboard+mouse controls quickly.
my fireteam may be gone, but that comforting feeling of wandering around to look at the work put in just feels nice. the older exotics returning bring back fond silly memories. and who knows how long i spent on the bungie site reading all the D1 lore cards.
I've stopped playing Destiny after season of the Witch ended, because it just wasn't the same for me anymore, I felt like all that stuff just wasn't the game I fell in love with anymore, but your channel is the one thing I keep coming back to for destiny content, because it's just so good. Man, this speech, it just hits different. I started back in the season of the worthy, much earlier than probably most of D2 gamers, but it pulled me in so much, that i enjoyed and survived through all the tough times, never leaving the game for more than a week. Destiny is magical game in it's own way, despite all the drama and bullshit that happened over time. Also, absolutely amazing video.

As always tears fell during the video, tears of laughter and during the sojourn, tears of reflection.
The desire to get the Final Shape is strong. But Lightfall burnt me hard and my fireteam have all moved on too. I like you i was there for the D1 beta and played it all the way through...but i stopped playing because the grind got too much, and the damage upscale became too much for this slightly better than casual player.
But watching the trailer for final shape makes me want to see the story out by playing it rather than just watching vids of others playing it.
We'll see.
