Not shown in video, but you don't have to be to worried about stopping the Beacons from being capture by Duran. When a beacon is captured, a Zerg fortification is "spawned" there. If you destroy the fortification, you can recapture said beacon and essentially disarm it, making Duran having to recapture it. You'll also receive minor CPU guards there (not many, but enough to provide a minor assisting defense) This is also a rare mission where the AIs are using the Custom Melee script because Mutalisks and drop-overlords are disabled. The attack-waves are all "generated" units instead on a timer (that progressively get stronger up to a limit). The location they attack is also somewhat randomized too.
Templar:....however, we can still use shuttles for travel. Fenix: I have....a better idea. *One roll of duct tape later* Infested Duran: *Panicking as he's being chased by an entire shuttle fleet with reavers taped under them* Templar: Impressive, preator. Where did you learn to create such a inventions? Fenix: Friend Rayor taught it to me during our travels. He calls it: GIT 'ER DONE.
Your micro management is something to behold! Never seen you before on the internet until today. Star Craft has a special place in my heart. Always will despite what Blizzard has become today. Serious mission, but it was just A Matter of Feeling that he had The Reflex to disobey the Matriarch and make Dark Archons. Now Kerrigan's plan has Come Undone.
I have to say as good as these inverse missions are, i come here for the clone voice acting it's just incredible and this one had so much of it!!!!!!!!
Raszagal's excuse for warning you not to use Dark Archons definitely had some serious C&C Seth energy to it. Kinda feel like if you didn't use any Dark Archons in the mission she'd send the entire Protoss military on a frontal assault on Char afterwards..
If I remember correctly, Zerathul thought of dark archons to free Razshagal, but gave up, because it would rather left matriarch either as a braindead body, or change puppeteer from Kerrigan to archon. Anyway, she is most likely doomed
I know that Ulrezaj was much stronger than average Dark Archon, but going by lore, anyone of these guys would be a tough challenge for Kerrigan. They are much more rare than they appear in game and are truly overpowered until they burn out. Ulrezaj could roll over Kerrigan's army, Terran Dominion detachment and Protoss defenders if he wasn't contained. That's nearly soloing 3 armies, though to be fair they were engaged in free for all fiesta if I remember correctly.
@@Ravil322that's actually a very good explanation. I imagine the dark archons present wouldn't be keen to take charge of an entire tribe either. "Steve, you do it!" "No, you, Bob!"
It's all part of balancing, spell casters in starcraft don't have strong attack or even capable to attack at all. Defiler, queen, science vessel, high templar, arbiter
Zerathul: I’m sorry but I had to kill the matriarch because she was possessed by Kerrigan beyond any hope of salvation… Vorazun: Have you tried to use the Dark Archon’ mind powers you senile imbecile? Zerathul: Come again? Vorazun: The Dark Archon you… Zerathul: *IMPOSSIBLE! HYBRIDS ON AIUR!!!!*
I always wondered why those Dark Archons guarding Zeratul didn't just use Feedback and kill Kerrigan back in Zerg Mission 8. Her immense stores of mana would've been her undoing. Combine that with an attack from Zeratul if she still lived, and it would've been a sure-fire way to decapitate the enemy swarms.
Infested Kerrigan: "Insufferable Protoss cowa- " Dark Archon: "I don't care what you have to say about Protoss. You damn Zerg are all alike. Y'all have real good day now, y'hear?
0:25 That sounds like a Zerg problem :P What ground force can match against a Reaver ball? XD Dark Swarm is useless and Protoss has storms. Literally the only thing holding them back are those annoying cliff sides XD Outside of that, the Zerg are at an overwhelming disadvantage XD

Raszagal: Don't make dark archons.
Executor: Okay.
(Five seconds later)
Executor: Let's make dark archons!
Executor is not a simp.
If Raszagal commands something, then your best bet is to execute the opposite.
Well, the Dark Archon removed Kerrigan MC from Raszagal and she knew it.
Executor is a simp.
She makes cookies for dark archons
>Duran's public image has been killed and Infested Duran is now cancelled.
He used the N-word. Nerazim
Since Duran is choosing a form that resembles a Terran of African descent, does that mean he's wearing blackface?
Duran got #metoo'd by Raszagal.
Duran after he falls and regenerates: "Dammit, time to restart anew... As Dr. Narud!"
“Boy I’m a genius of picking names”
I'm glad that Raszagal gets her payback on Kerrigan and it was cathartic.
She’s the WO-MAN…
Templar:....however, we can still use shuttles for travel.
Fenix: I have....a better idea.

Fenix: Friend Rayor taught it to me during our travels. He calls it: GIT 'ER DONE.
“The Terran Raynor taught me of a power of a duct tape”
“It is a Terran invention referred to as ‘The Handyman’s secret weapon’. I do not know who this ‘Handyman’ is, but he is indeed formidable!”
That Maelstrom+Psionic Storm combo is just beautiful! Also, justice for Raszagal!
I know right? I feel dumb for not thinking of this stuff back when I played. But then again I was 12 lol
Memes aside, that Shuttle+Reavers kiting was beautiful. Maybe I'm just imagining it, but I think your mechanics have really improved over time.
Kerrigan: I enslaved Matriarch! You cannot stop me!
Dark Archon: *You are imbued with the power of plot armor. But that will not save you*
"We will attempt to free her now." You sure make just about anything quotable lol.

Matriarch: What creature are you?
Durán: Something quite Beyond your narrow understanding.
DA: "shortcut + C"

If I had a nickel for every time the "Warp matrix was damaged" I'd have two nickels, yadda yadda.
Dark Archon in lore be like:
If I remember correctly, Zerathul thought of dark archons to free Razshagal, but gave up, because it would rather left matriarch either as a braindead body, or change puppeteer from Kerrigan to archon. Anyway, she is most likely doomed

@masterexploder9668 it resulted from the sacrifice of 7 dark templars. No wonder the power was off the charts

Man this is a scary mission. Epic Dark Archon sacrifice at the end.
I love these alternate battle situations.
I also love when Duran was actually terrifying rather than a sniveling grunt.
It sucks that the Dark Archons don't attack with Sith lightning-like attacks compared to the Archons that do.
It's all part of balancing, spell casters in starcraft don't have strong attack or even capable to attack at all. Defiler, queen, science vessel, high templar, arbiter
Duran:Why do i hear jojo's music-oh fck!!!
I love how Kerrigan gets killed even when she’s not on the battlefield 😂🤣
Dark Archon: Vice-Admiral Stukov sends his regards!
Looks like, Kerrigan is gonna die many times in this timeline.
Zerathul: I’m sorry but I had to kill the matriarch because she was possessed by Kerrigan beyond any hope of salvation…
Vorazun: Have you tried to use the Dark Archon’ mind powers you senile imbecile?
Zerathul: Come again?

The dialogs were awesome! And even in the campaign protoss still prefer to cheese :D
Thanks for the video!

And then we would have had a more interesting Starcraft 2 sequel story, with different zerg factions, and not just primal zerg
Zeratul's warp blade had 1000 damage for that mission. Should have been 1 swipe, and roll credits.
@@Th0ughtf0rce Exactly. A few swings, and bam, Kerrigan is dead.
Kerrigan fails?
GOOD!
i am not tired to type this:
GOOD ENDING
Now I believe in Dark Templar Supremacy! Truly one of the moments of all time!
Golden wind? ACID WIND!
So many times we see a potential good ending where the concubine of the Zerg gets killed.
Kerrigan: Where does piano music come from?
When the music kick in, but not on your side.
This campaign is outstanding! If the episodes were somehow made to be connected it would be an 11/10 instantly!
JoJo music is playing - it's super effective 🤣🤣🤣
Infested Kerrigan: "Insufferable Protoss cowa- "
Dark Archon: "I don't care what you have to say about Protoss. You damn Zerg are all alike. Y'all have real good day now, y'hear?
Lore accurate dark archon moment.
dark archon: you will never the truth
duran: wha?
Your reaver marco was... Something
When in doubt, mind control
I do wonder it was indeed kerrigan who mind controlled Razagal or Duran...if thats his real name
I like how we got to save raszagal i felt bad when i found out she had a daughter in legacy of the void.
She will be caught in the next mission😅
So, then UED will be a winner, because they can rule over the entire Swarm and also able to call reinforcements from Earth sometimes.
Next up, TOTAL ZERG DEATH.
Wait it isn't she on the mind control? Is that why is she won't let you use Dark archons
Wow this plot is very well written. I would love to see a SC2 altered campaign following some events from these events.
Kerrigan just dies off-screen? That's lame - even the death by broodling was better.
Hope she'll be back in Omega to be finally put down for good
Executor Nral, why don't I have heroes if I also downloaded this mod?
Heroes and additional voiceovers were added by me. I will publish them once I'm done recording all these.
Would be cool if you have an alternate ending where they mind control Duran and make him kill Kerrigan
What if James loved some other woman?
