The most important ingredients and the foundation of every advanced nation is correct enforcement of law and order, respecting contractual agreements and swift delivery of justice. Unless we don't have these key ingredients, even if we discover a huge mountain of gold tomorrow, it will go to waste with the current state of our current political, government administrative and judicial system
It is certainly possible to develop Trivandrum like Dubai. Dubai was little fishing village about 30 years back and look where it is now! We can even make it better than Dubai, as we have the educated manpower on tap in our state. With the right kind of attitudes and behaviour toward the opportunities which would open up with the port coming in to service, we will be able to see tremendous progress in our city. I am convinced that Trivandrum will change beyond recognition in the next 5 years, for the better. I really hope that the required infrastructure development in logistics is carried out quickly and at the same time to the highest standard to support the demand which will come with the port being commissioned.
Moreover, once the port completes its Phase 2 and 3 expansion, there is a huge opportunity for attracting cruise ships to dock at Vizhinjam and this would greatly improve tourism too.
Looking forward to progress, not only in our little city and state, but also the whole nation! Exciting days ahead!
