About him getting arrested, it's not only the Empire being more aggressive. He was arrested for absolutely nothing. So in fact, his arrest is connected to episode 4... First time Dedra appears and also the ISB
ISB chief casually compliments Dedra Meero for the for her "far above the quota detention numbers"
So even before Aldani the ISB had detention quotas.
And his do you best detention quotas if you don't have enough crime? You arrest non important people for no reason at all

Wow, I completely missed that. I do remember feeling like he got arrested for nothing lol. Great storytelling.

@@darrel7589 You are confusing things. Your justification for Cassian being arrested (the grave crime of crossing a Coast Trooper's path) is some very nice fascism. I guess you are roleplaying as an Imperial supporter, right?
Being arrested for crossing a stormtrooper's path IS being arrested for nothing. It IS being arrested just to fill a detention quota.
Alas... he saw a CRIME taking place? What crime did take place? You only saw some guys running away from troopers. They probably didn´t commit any crime either, except having looked at the wrong time at a Trooper wanting to fill his detention quota.
The trooper was behind a wall. Cassian was on a beach. There was no reason for Cassian to suspect he would be randomly chosen to be arrested no matter what.
"Then Cassian foolishly kept saying he's just a tourist"
What was your suggestion for Cassian to say? Did you even watch the scene? The trooper WANTED to arrest Cassian to fill a quota. He accused Cassian of several nonsensical things.
      "It's not good writing IMO."
Well, from everything you said so far it seems you are not good on your head, IMO.

The thing I love about it is this isn't a story where the heroes are accidentally the bad guy where the show has to bend over coping about how them getting arrested for their crime is oppression and unfair even though the villains did nothing wrong.
No, they make it clear that Andor (and many many others) were arrested for just existing, that the empire themselves have no idea that he has any connection to the hit on Aldhani.
It isn't Andor bitching that he got caught doing a crime; it's him realizing that the way things are going, _innocent people_ have no space to simply exist.
That's nice clean theme-writing right there.

Andor is Star Wars for adults in the same way as Discovery is Star Trek for pre-schoolers.

LMAO! I really got tired of watching Burnham cry every episode. I really thought the jump forward in time would result in a brave story choice disconnecting from Star Fleet but they used it as much as Voyager used it. So not at all lol.

@@darrel7589 "Everything you said is nonesnce'"
....from your perspective. And that is absolutely your right to hsve.
But why on earth would you engage in such a dismissive stance? It just feels counter-productive to advancing that perspective. But, whatever.

As a guy who watches Bluey with his niece; we can do Bluey a little more credit than that.

@@DonnyxCage she doesn’t say it outright but she had her reasons for staying, reasons for not taking her medications, reasons for telling Cassian that Aldhani inspired her, reasons for opening up the passageway beneath the hotel.. and mainly reasons for recording her eulogy the way she did. It’s a fantastic show. It treats its audience right, I’m glad you like it
