I think Sis Anger should be the next song. It's their hardest hitting song, and everyone should check out at least 1 of the 4 Black Babymetal songs when reacting to multiple Babymetal songs.

For years this song had only been performed in Japan.
Finally, at the O2 Academy Brixton concert last year (July 2nd, 2019) it was featured on the setlist.
It's a killer high energy track.
Pretty much a flawless blend of guitars and vocals.
'Syncopation' is on the Japanese (domestic) only release of the 'Metal Resistance' album.
'From Dusk Till Dawn' is on the international release, and that song has only been performed live once, at the Palladium in Los Angeles in 2017.

BABYMETAL is known for being so tight in their singing/music/dancing that You can tell cuts in compilation only by outfits/stage setup/avenger appearances. There are lots of compilation in the internet, some re poor, some are very good, and thy may have (unofficial) english subs as well

While many Babymetal songs could easily used as anime opening intro, but they never do any anime opening. Someone made a video of Attack on Titan opening and combine it with this song, and it's quite fitting😀
I love this song so much, and your reactions are always great. This hasn't been a hugely popular song for reactors, so I'm not entirely sure I'm right with what I'm about to say, but I know someone will confirm or correct me if not, so thanks in advance! The song is about young love/having a crush at a young age and the feeling of a racing heartbeat or your heart skipping a beat you get when you see your crush or they actually talk to you. You can see the dance moves that correlate to the song like when Moa and Yui sing the Suki (pronounced "Ski") and Kirai parts, which mean "like" and "dislike", respectively. and other gestures like when they put both hands over their heart and then bring them out together like the gesture for it beating.
As musicians, you may have heard of syncopation, or a syncopated beat. This came from the creation of Jazz music where they often would put emphasis on the wrong beats of a song on purpose. This is the play on words that the Japanese love to do, because they're using it musically, but also to describe the skipping heartbeat of a young person in love, as I said before. It's such a great song whether you know the meaning of it or not. I was upset when I found out about it being a Japan-only release, but then elated when someone shared with me a web site to be able to buy it and the other Japan exclusives like "BxMxC" and "↑ ↓ ← → BBAB".
I agree with the others I've seen, you should totally check out some Black BABYMETAL, which was what Moa and Yui (the dancers/backing vocalists) were called when they performed as a duo at shows while Su was getting a break. I say was because Yui is the one who left the band and they haven't played any of those songs since 2018. You have four to choose from in "GJ!", "Sis. Anger", "Song 4", and "Onedari Daisakusen". Can't go wrong with any of them, but "Sis. Anger" is probably the most metal song of the entire BABYMETAL song catalog.
Nice choice of Babymetal - and though it's a compilation from 2 or 3 different concerts, there aren't many easy to find versions of this song.
One of my favourite definitely :). The flow, the breakdown, the voice, they all match up to a sync. And that drumming... Highly enjoyable.
No full official version for this song available in YT (except audio only).

I'm still figuring out what my favourite Babymetal songs are, but this one is definitely a contender, and it fits in well with their newer material on Metal Galaxy, so I expect we'll be seeing it at shows for a long time. The anime theme comparison also hit me, mostly because of the riff at 2:53 which I swear I've heard in a half dozen anime intros.
There's a lot of Babymetal compilations on UA-cam. Reaction videos can often get away with copyright appeals, but nobody can post the full performances and keep them up so they can be reacted to in the first place.

This song had only being in played in Japan live 4 times and never outside Japan. Then last year at Brixton academy in London the intro started .
Never seen heard so many gasps and squeals of excitement as fans could be heard saying Syncopation and quickly trying to get phones out.
The one and only time played outside Japan . I put it on my youtube page and it has got up to now 125k views up to now .
Being played few more times in Japan now but being there hearing one of my favourites was awesome along with about 4999 other people some of them in your comments was great. Not only was it two different concerts, it was two different Babymetals. One of the concerts had Yui, and the other was after Yui left and I think Kano Fujihira was in her place, so it was actually jumping back and forth between two different versions of the group. I do love this song though, and it was originally exclusive to Japan, only appearing on the Japanese release of the album and only being performed in Japan, but I believe they did finally perform it in LA once, to promote their third album.

Syncopation and Distortion are their most anime songs. Distortion has their best movie video production but is rarely suggested because Su- and Moa don't appear in it.

Are Folks just now realizing that anime has been using metal for yrs? its not an anime sound it's anime using rock to spice up an action sequence. some of those music intros and montages are straight heavy metal. I'm almost surprised that anime fans aren't all metal fans. they have been listening to it for years.

The video is a compilation from different shows. Which is a really bad idea, in my opinion, when it comes to BABYMETAL. They rely so much on the visual impression that it hurts the experience a lot when it constantly jumps from stage to stage and outfit to outfit (and in some videos from 14 year old to 20 year old girls). On the other hand, for some songs these are the only videos that are not getting blocked, unfortunately.

Ah, a compilation again where Yui gets switched out with different Avengers every few seconds. I wish they would at least write something like it's a compilation from "different eras" or there are different members on stage in the title. It's unnecessarily confusing everyone who's not into Babymetal for a longer time period already. And I know it's a great song and people should react to it, it's more like a critique to the people who make these compilations.

To me this does not really sound like an anime intro, but as I said in another post this song to me sounds like something Paramore would have put out in their early days (with a few metal breakdown tossed in). I don't mean that as any kind of insult.
Babymetal is one of my favourite bands, and Syncopation is one of my favourite songs. The number of switches in the compilation was still distracting me from the music lol. It's the best you can get for reactions on UA-cam though. If you're into the group enough, you could listen to the studio and watch full live performances of the song on your own. Someone probably has links for them.
Sometimes it is the only option, but the main reason I dislike them is I feel it is wrong to take someone's art, chop it up and display it in a way the original artist had not intended streamable.com/vx20u
If you watch closely they are different concerts and yui is not in all the concerts. At the time this was put together yui had left babymetal.

Okay, sorry, but I gotta pipe in here about the whole anime thing. If you're going to say that this track sounds anime, then you could literally say that about damn near anything with catchy riffs in hard rock and sometimes metal. People (even misguided fans) are always saying that Babymetal sounds "anime" - which is patently not true, and equally not true about this particular song. People just say that because because they seem to think Japanese vocals, especially female ones = "anime." If you were to switch out Su-Metal and Moametal's vocals for an English speaking Anglo vocalist and backup singers though but still keep the same music, I guarantee almost no-one would say that - they would think it just sounds like regular hard rock or metal.
Though there may not be a typical anime music "sound," there are some hallmarks - such as more hard rock type riffs rather than riffs that one would typically call metal, and also a lot of electronica and synth mixed in with the song. Some Babymetal tracks, especially those with heavy electronica or synth elements, MIGHT be said to possibly sound "anime," but the majority wouldn't be considered any more "anime" than the songs that a lot of hard rock and metal bands record. Again, the vocals are what's planting this idea in people's heads.
Anyway, just had to vent on that cuz it gets tiring hearing it constantly repeated after a while. On an unrelated note, you're chairs are squeaky/creaky as hell. You need new chairs.

I'm not an expert on music theory, but I have heard a number of people say this song pulls more from Japanese music roots compared their other songs. I imagine the same is true of a lot of anime songs, so maybe that's what evokes that comment with this song in particular.
I mostly agree with you when it comes to that comment regarding a lot of their other songs, though.
@@navypukevomit Syncopation because of the song writing/elements also has many parts which fit very well to Anime scenes, like fight scenes, etc. Maybe that is also even among fans the song most likely tagged as anime song.

Great reaction, but as has been said, the proshot videos are a mixture from a variety of concerts (if you look at the 3 girls, they change throughout from Moa and Yui, to Moa and the avengers). If you want to melt in metal cuteness, go back to the beginning of BabyMetal and check out Doki Doki Morning (the birth of Kawaii metal), or Megitsune (the latter will blow you're mind). BabyMetal are simply amazing, and some have said they are a gimmick...10 years in, that's one hell of a gimmick lol.

Good reaction. I never get the anime thing (maybe because I've never watched anime) but I'm guessing everybody seems to hear it in every single Japanese song because maybe anime just uses Japanese rock and metal for their openings?
Anyway, this isn't a bad compilation in itself and I think compilation videos are the only options available on UA-cam for 'Syncopation', but your confusion at the ever changing camera angles does illustrate why compilation videos are rarely the best way to experience a song for the first time as at best they tend to jump from one show to another, which is confusing.
At worst (and these do exist, one was reacted to on another channel within the last week or two) they can completely chop a song up, miss whole sections out, show the wrong people playing something completely different on a guitar solo or show footage of a completely different song being performed.
'Syncopation' was only on the Japanese release of the second album, the international release got 'From Dusk Till Dawn' which is completely different (yet I like them both equally). It has only been played live outside of Japan one time so far - that was last year in Brixton, London ... and I can gloat a bit as I was there. Nobody could believe their ears when we heard the heart beats that lead into the song.
They mainly use soft rock and jpop. The only metal opening I can think of is Maximum the hormone was used for death note but that was more MTH fits the theme they were going for and is not the norm.
Anime doesn’t have a really coherent style for openings so the comparisons is weird

@@Grington300 yeah I think its because anime reflects Japanese culture so whenever they see Japanese culture they draw that comparison, it would be like if someone's only ever experience of America had been watching old Holywood westerns then saw something American and associated it with a western movie, maybe that's not a great example, however being compared to anime isn't a bad thing as Japanese anime is very well done usually and something I think Japan should be very proud of.

Some advice about BABYMETAL reactions:
tl;dr: Don't use compilations for BABYMETAL, we have a better solution.
Please don't rely solely on videos that are on UA-cam (mainly compilations); they're not meant to be used for reactions as the mix of concerts and generally bad editing can make it confusing for those new to BABYMETAL. Also, you won't get the full BABYMETAL experience with these. Some people think they are safer for reactions, but they're not. They may get past the bot initially, but you still stand the chance of your video being blocked later and the possibility of having copyright strikes.

You should note though, that your video will almost definitely be blocked if these are included in your video and that you will need to do what we call "link & sync". @@MettalMaffiaOfficial - Don't worry about it. It really is anime music. Babymetal is the successor to 'Karen Girl's' the group Su was in when she was 10 and they did the theme song to an anime. Their producer Koba saw Su performing anime music and had the inspiration for Babymetal..
Babymetal fans get tired of hearing it because everybody says it but you're not wrong. Every time i say this someone points out that it's not actually music to an anime. Yes i know that MFer, but it's very similar to anime music and was in fact inspired by anime music.
Also Su covered 'Tamashii No Rufuran' with Babymetal for her birthday and that is from the anime Evangelion. They also covered 'Kimi to Anime ga mitai' which they translate as 'Answers for animation for you' and google translate 'I like anime and you'

Babymetal also covered 'Over the Future' in 2012. Yui was a big Karen Girl's fan and said it was a dream come true to get to perform it with Su. It's a very historic song for Babymetal.
Personally I am not a fan of the pro shot videos. You lose the cohesion of the original performances with this quick flashing of scenes from different concerts. They seem all flashy and some people apparently like that, but I prefer a single solid performance with good camera angles.

May just be my personal opinion, but I take a live performance over a pro shot any day. Especially since there are members changing out now adays . . . .sets changing in the background, scenes of the wrong musicians often playing out of synch with the version that is playing . . and to top it off, as of this one, horrendous audio mixing. . . .Bass drums and bass too loud in mix exacerbating very thin guitar bands and Su has been poorly eq'd. Her voice has matured and there is more mid to low . .it sounds like she is being put through an old peaty head with the "tone" knob up on 8 (not even a 3 band eq/ / lol) . .it's a muddy mess . . .yukadoo!
