I've played guitar since 1976, I've met many artist over the years seen a great many professional phenomenal artists that played percussive acoustic. But I have still not seen anyone who has the clean seperation of several melodies within a composition as you do Luca. There's an obvious difference between your abilities and pretty much everyone else in the industry. Your fretting is extremely clean, the individual parts,,.. bass, melody, lead, e.t.c, all stay clearly pronounced , set apart from one another. You've achieved true separation of each part within your mind and you execute the piece with authority and finesse. There are many incredible guitarists, but you are set apart my friend.

It's unfortunate that folks don't spend more time listening to actual hip hop. The flow is as much as instrument as the rest. Half of what makes this incredible is the way he converts ems words hitting to notes. It really just highlights how rap is really music, not noise.
I've been playing for six years and this guy was my inspiration to start adding percussive elements into my music. It isn't as hard as you think to begin, though it's fucking hard to master it.

I played 6 strings for 20 years and heard so many players I cant even count a fraction of them ... and still Luca holds up as the greatest guitar player I have ever heard. High praise from an old LA music rat.

When you are good, your fingers do the work detached from you, you don't need to think about what they do, just the strings they pluck and the sound you want, you just sink into the music and the fingers carry it out. (Prerequisite = talent)

You play the instrument in your mind and then if you trained your hands right, they produce the music without asking you for directions. It's a beautiful partnership when it works.

Matt Burk to me, if something is clear and articulate, it doesn’t necessarily mean you “feel it”. More so you can hear every note precisely, yet that doesn’t mean it will affect you emotionally. And visa-versa. This he does both.

Except he's not actually doin it. This is mostly great producing. A majority of this would be impossible to actually play. a Live performance of this would sound nothing like this video. Nothing against the mans talent, because he clearly is very good.
What I love about Luca is that he's not just technically brilliant (amongst the very best in the world), but also musically and stylistically brilliant as well. He manages to really feel the music, and adapt his arrangements beautifully to the essence of the song, and is also able to do so across an incredible number of genres. Seriously impressive.
Every now and then I circle back to Luca's covers. I love them all. This time, I come back wishing there was a version with this as the background with Eminem's vocals. That would be 🔥👌🤌

It is incredibly cool and astonishingly difficult but I think you’d be surprised how common talents like this are. Amazing but not that rare (like not as rare as an Eminem or a Neil peart for example)
Back when I decided to learn the guitar, I met several guys that could hear a song in an obscure genre and just manage to pop out some wild tune that would blow me away. Learning to replicate music is one thing, making it something like this is different. Props to dudes like this.

What I love about Luca is that he's not just technically brilliant (amongst the very best in the world), but also musically and stylistically brilliant as well. He manages to really feel the music, and adapt his arrangements beautifully to the essence of the song, and is also able to do so across an incredible number of genres. Seriously impressive.
Few songs get me grooving so hard the world just fades of existence for a few minutes but this one is among the top of the list.
He is fast becoming one of my all time favorite guitarists period.

It is incredibly cool and astonishingly difficult but I think you’d be surprised how common talents like this are. Amazing but not that rare (like not as rare as an Eminem or a Neil peart for example)
Back when I decided to learn the guitar, I met several guys that could hear a song in an obscure genre and just manage to pop out some wild tune that would blow me away. Learning to replicate music is one thing, making it something like this is different. Props to dudes like this.
