I feel like Nyx is bored because he's finished most of the Glitchtale OST so now he's foreseeing Glitchtale's future to be an anime, so he is making this and showing it to us as foreshadowing
Isn’t Glitchtale already pretty much an anime now? I mean, you have the main characters with ridiculously colored hair, the overpower final attack, the “this isn’t even my final form” moments, and even the “character almost dies but then meets a dead loved one and comes back to life” trope. I feel like the music was the only thing left.
And we should compare it to Undertale.. İts more oblivious. No concept of mercy is involved, eventhrough Betty is practically Flowey, looked innocent first, is a murderer psychopath, had issues about souls and two race stuff in the past and now uses body of someone else as a vessel. Quite convenient.
Characters being stereotypical, anime kind of magical battles and dramatic storyline is another factor. I think Mettaton and Alphys Undertale would liked to watch Glitchtale together.

You mean THE Saddest, his was the 1st, his was the greatest shock of them all, what followed, we already expected the tragedy and sadness to an extant, but HIM? As he was making friends, losing friends, and still had potential for character dev? Litteraly the main character of Season one with Frisk Chara and later Flowey and the protagonist for the first 2 episode? We never thought she would dare, she did, and that shock those memories everything, made it the saddest moment. Hell people were in such denial she had to kill him twice lol
I know people like to often mention that this would work well in the series but holy hell. I could see this as a Papyrus fight theme, this playing while he both remembers all his memories of Sans but choosing to fight. Becoming something on par with Gaster.

This is a classic theme song move. Have an epic version and sad version on hand so that you can get the watchers unconsciously attached to the epic and then spring the sad on them for maximum effect.

He didn't tell Papyrus and lied to him that he's fine and he'll wake up. But now he's gone forever because when Gaster brought him back he was already *Fallen Down* so Gaster just tortured everyone. Or well *CAMI* tortured everyone.
