We tried doing something similar but did not have as much time as you all did. We did meet a family of 3 that had remote jobs and traveled. They had star link for internet and it worked everywhere for them, so much that they did a lot of boon docking to save money. Their kids did schooling on line which I imagine saved on what they had to pack around. They had been RVing for a year.We currently take off on all long weekends to explore and look for our next move. It's not ideal. Denver and surrounding area are expensive! If we could, we would travel and not have rent or a mortgage. We say go for it! RV living may get harder as kids get older.
We have 4 kids. I could not even consider living on the go. Though job stability for medical staff could have worked out as traveling therapists, the kids stability in a permanent home, I think, was important. The fact that y’all can have jobs that are almost all digitally possible and homeschooling your children gives y’all so much ability to do the moving around thing. I’m old school, probably my generation. To me, the moving around with 4 small ones is overwhelming. I don’t know, for me it would be to find somewhere inexpensive, give the kids the ability of growing up in one place, and work and save so later you could travel to even greater places than just town to town. Saying that, I think y’all need to do what fits you two. Kids will adapt to whatever you do. Good luck and blessings for whatever you decide. 😊
I live full time in my RV. I work full time. I only move seasonally to get to the areas where the weather is best. Moving 4-6 times per year has been great for me. I can settle in and move when it’s going to get too hot or too cold. Just because one lives full time in an RV doesn’t mean you have to constantly be on the go. Get out of vacation mode and enjoy the areas more deeply vs. moving constantly. The housing market right now is not optimal for buyers with interest rates so high. Just a thought. Houses will always be there.
Personally I would buy a house and just try to travel when you can . Being from Michigan you know the prices are cheaper there , especially if you are allowed to work remotely. Buying a home and another liveable huge trailer and another 80k truck is a lot for a young family . Just my thoughts. Best wishes 👍

Thanks for your comment. Yeah, hard to say for sure how RVing full-time works on kids as they get older...
Move to Colorado Springs!!!!!

Thanks! I appreciate that perspective!

Yeah, I think getting a house somehow and traveling when we can is a logical choice.
Have you thought about being close to a library if you full time rv so that home schooling can be done there?
How would you work while RVing? Don't you need an office away from the kids?
Texas is a happening place. I hear grandparents spoil their grandkids here.....
LOL
You’ll be sick of RVing very soon
I made that mistake
Buy a house
