One cool thing to note is how the perspective of our main charachters changes throughout the series. Rafal (1st protag) thoroughly belived in god and that god created a perfect world. Furthermore he was studying theology, a straight connection to folowing written human scripture about god. Oczy (2nd protag) couldnt read or write until the end. This eventualy led him to the idea that god should be observed trough the world and nature, not through scripture like the bible. Draka (3rd protag) beliving that the world should/can only be understood through logic and reason is a athiest and denies the existence of god completely
This anime made me cry because it is based on real events , its because of this anime i knew that ack in middle ages. U get persecuted or executed for studying or teaching heliocentrism.
After this ep this is my top 5 show of all time. Im with schmidt, but hes pretty much me. Last 2 ep is pretty much myself talking to the point i change who i am today since 2020.
The discussion they had about logic and religion is literally one I had multiple times with my mom about Islam. Because like Draka, I find it hard to believe in a religion and have strong faith without asking logical questions and finding logic in those religious teachings and commands
I thought Duraka's values were similar to Antoni's if not interrupted by Schmidt, even though she is a main character. So I would be interested to hear if she followed Antoni.
