  • Vandalism to Moab's rich archaeological sites is a growing problem. Today's native peoples and tribes feel a strong tie to these sacred ancestral sites. Petroglyphs and rock art tell stories, reveal origins and are history of those who were here before us. Birthing Rock is a particularly beautiful site that was badly vandalized earlier this year and just one example of an ongoing problem on our public lands.
Moab's archeological sites include Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Dead Horse Point State Park and literally millions of acres of Bureau of Land Management sites.

Thanks God for me and my friends seeing your great UA-cam channel! My friend(s) and I just subscribed your channel. We really appreciate and enjoy watching your great video and the very high quality of content and images. We will keep watching your videos.
We are really sorry to see the vandalism. Sadly, I and my friend also saw vandalism on some rocks also at the Valley of Fire - Nevada State Park. Hopefully, people respect the petroglyphs and stop the vandalism.

They should have video cameras that monitor on a daily basis. Charging and prosecuting people who desecrate these sites would deter many people from vandalism. This is a part of, not just indigenous history, but a history of all Americans. How America came to be starting with the first inhabitants to the present. It gives substance to the existence of people and how they lived and therefore shared with us generations later of who they were. Today, we have many means of passing on our history we don't need to erase or overwrite these sites that could be lost to all generations of people. We, all of us are stewards to leave these for others to appreciate as a part of their history as well.

This pisses me off to see this. Some people are so brain dead that they don't know any better or maybe they do and just don't care. I hope I never see this happening.
