Stray Kids are the epitome of self production, with the leader, Bang Chan, picking the members himself, producing 99% of their songs (together with two other members of the group, Changbin and Han), and even creating their own logo. The rest of the members (Felix, Hyunjin, I.N, Lee Know and Seungmin), also participating from time to time in the production process. They are amazing artists, lyricists, composers, rappers, singers, and dancers. Eight talented driven individuals with a unified goal, they have been growing and learning together since 2017 (their debut was in 2018) to become 4th gen leaders. I believe you will enjoy discovering their endearing personalities and their journey to who they are today. They have close to 200 songs to their credit, so there is a lot you can choose from.
Good choice, this isnt the best introduction to them haha! Us who has followed them for a long long time knows this is one of the more quirky songs.. people in the comments have given suggestions, so Im just gonna leave it up to you :)
Made like a horror movie, but it's just jam. This is a fun song to showcase each of their 3 units: 1) 3racha, 2) danceracha, and 3) vocalracha. This comeback has been my favorite.
I think it helps to know that "jammie" in Korean means fun. So wordplay in 2 languages. Stray Kids loves their wordplay. This is just a fun B-side. It's also probably foreshadowing a possible album drop on Friday the 13th, so there's that too. I'd check out the title track, Chk Chk Boom. Other good ones are God's Menu, Lalalala, Maniac, Topline, and Megaverse.
Funny that you went into this with no context. This is a b-side, just in case you weren't aware! Very much "for the fans" and in the vein of previous songs they've done like Cheese. Just maximum (often food-related) silliness. That's my favourite lane of theirs, but I can imagine someone coming across it for the first time and being like, "huh??" Also that line about not being so old that you were born in the 80s hurt me on a personal level.
I’m glad you’re finding Stray Kids. They have a no skip discography of over 200 songs. Besties with ATEEZ so a lot of us are StayTiny. They dropped a whole new album 2 weeks ago called ATE. Most people enter SKZ through Gods Menu. They are pretty rap and EDM heavy but also have amazing vocals. 8 All Rounders. And self produced. I’m excited for your journey. 🎉
2:16 yes, it is him ahah its my first watch too, and im actually love this song 3RACHA - Bang Chan, Changbin and HAN (2 rappers and leader of the group) produce and write almost all of their music
JJAM The Joyful Anthem of Togetherness: Stray Kids "JJAM" is a celebration of fun, unity, and the joy of living in the moment. The lyrics are filled with playful metaphors and energetic calls to action, encouraging listeners to let go of their worries and join in the collective experience of enjoyment.

Stray Kids are quirky and unapologetically themselves and we love them for it. Recommend.... Chk Chk Boom, Easy or Gods Menu next. None of these songs sound alike or like Jjam.
Absolutely without a doubt STRAY KIDS are the best in the business…JJAM pure entertainment, thats all it is and all it needs to be … no need for an analysis…Best thing about Stray Kids , they make you feel good and you can just let it all go…Brilliant…Thanks for the reaction 🫶🏻
I loved your reaction😊 I recommend you listen to more of their songs, They are so talented, create their own songs, and have so many types of music. They like to experiment and play with the sounds. And yes, it's a little hard to understand at first what's happening in the video, and no matter how many times you watch it, you always find new things that you don't notice at first, but that's all the fun in it because they always have a story behind it.
I was soo looking forward to somebody pick this one as their first song :D i promise half of m/v's will not make sense as they love playing with us, but it is safe to say this one was way more insane then others :) it took me a while stop be scared, i hate horror movies and Seungmin with hammer scares me even now. But if you like different, you will like them. And i can also promise no two songs are similar, so if one is not of your taste, try another. It was amusing reaction, thank you, we love watching others discovering Skz, i assume your fanbase will get significantly bigger too. Enjoy!
Tyty for reacting to this! Stray kids are 8 truly beautiful people who self-write and self-produce. Their message here is so positive, motivating, and inclusive ❤. They use tons of wordplay on the word jam: the sticky stuff you spread on bread, the korean word for fun, the english word for a blockage, the slang for good music, and a korean nursery rhyme " dori, dori, jam" (sp?). The mv is just a fun horror comedy theme w tons of horror tropes. I would definitely love to see you react to a 2024 guide and more mvs. Would recommend chk chk boom, gods menu, lalalala, megaverse, sclass, top line, circus, maniac for starters. Not sure what your personal taste in music is, but they truly have a million different sounds/styles (often in the same song😂). There's something for everyone. Subbing in hopes you will go down their rabbit hole❤.
In JJAM (as in many of their songs) they used wordplay with similar-sounding words that have different meanings. JAM - as in jam out (dance / play hard) JAEM - Korean word for fun They ran with the wordplay and decided to use JAM , as in the sweet stuff you spread on toast, as their video concept. So that was already fun, but they added a slight horror aspect to the video as well, which is cool.
The Blob originally came out in the late 50’s but was remade in the late 80’s. I wasn’t around in the 50’s but I definitely remember the one from the 80’s. My dad owned a movie rental place(VHS) in the 80’s and I remember the movie poster for that movie.
The boys don't currently have a killing voice but they do have One Takes. You are going to hate this but the best guide is 2 hrs long. It's abn Ultimate 2024 guide but never fear, we will sit through it with you. We LOVE peoples reactions when they see their achievements and just how talented these boys are
JJAM (Skz said the extra J is to make it more "sticky" so just pronounce it JAM with a bit more omph) is my favourite on this ATE album despite not being the title track (which is Chk Chk Boom and still fire) because it is so fun. As usual Skz use word play. Jam as in a jam session. It also sounds the same as Jaem which is Korean for fun. Dori dori / jam jam are Korean expressions used on kids to encourage them to move. And they showcase each of the subunits (3racha, Danceracha and Vocalracha) by giving them each their own jam session within the song, which is also reflected in how they perform it live. And of course the literal meaning of Jam - using it for the idea of being so sticky that it attracts and sticks to you. Their "Jam" being their attractive force.
Its a B-side off their new mini Album “Ate”, suggestion to listen to the title track Chk Chk boom, and other B-side Mountains, then Gods Menu (the song that basically put them on the map), S_Class and LALALALA. Lots of easter eggs in their m/v and posters saying Friday the 13th so could be an Important date or easter egg for a theme 🫣🤷🏼♀️
I believe Jjam in Korean means fun spelled (jaemi) and there's also a Korean slang term based on the word for honey jam which is (ggul jam)this is Korean slang used as way to say have some more fun. So I think it has to do with the culture of the slang in the language since its used for "spreading more fun" or "more of anything thats enjoyable. " In the song there are several references throughout the song to say basically just listen to our Jam (aka song) & have fun (aka cut loose stop worrying about everything) & have a good time. They also use the sticky aspect of peanut butter & Jelly (aka jam& yes its an intentional reference to the peanut butter jelly time song) as to how they see themselves as a group sticking together as they finished this song right around the time they renewed their contracts with JYP so that's another reference. Plus the rap style that they are using in this song is often referred to in Korea as "sticky" so this is again another representation. And then the physical representation of actual jam as a the way they make their music by mashing together many genres. The overall song I think is meant to be a funny double & triple play on words. 😊❤❤❤❤ If you are ever interested in understanding their lyrics better I would suggestion watching UA-camrs Andy & Jas they are native Korean speakers who also speak English & they give an amazing breakdown of their lyrics making sure English speaking audiences understand the nuances of the language & cultural refrences we as non-Koreans often miss. Their insights really allow us to appreciate the depth & quality of their lyric writing skills that would otherwise be dismissed as silly because of lack of understanding. I hope this helps.😊 P.S. yes this is supposed to be a 'tongue in cheek' nod to the horror movie genre. There are horror movie references throughout the video for people who are quick enough to catch them .😂 Stray Kids loves to hide hidden themes & messages in the videos for STAYS to find like a scavenger hunt. 😊😊😊❤❤❤Thanks again for reacting to Stray Kids.
It’s very much a horror comedy MV. They have a few food related songs that are good - Cheese and Domino. Jaem in Korean means fun but jam to us is food and jam/jamming in relation to music - they love wordplay a lot.
Lmao stray kids has a very very strange music genre called mala taste. You'll get used to it :P They're epic and cover over 40 genres though in their vast discography and they keep improving every comeback.
the song is really good but personnally i don't think its among their best stuff . for me i would of not recommended it for an introduction to the group but you're the boss and i'm glad that you've enjoyed it .
