Exactly!!! I’m a bright cool tone so these muted cool tones don’t look great on me. Sometimes they actually wash me out. 😔 But bright cool tones look absolutely wonderful on me. Wish they had some more variety. Like cool plums, berries, pinks, blues, silver but a bit more vibrancy.

So happy to finally get a cool toned palette. I am super cool toned and the warm palettes make me look ill. I don’t have any of the similar palettes either so it’s great!
I’ve got all those too but not the ND and flutterby. I’m definitely one who’s suffered through the endless warm toned palettes and when I finally get a good cool toned look on the blue eyes and light skin and hair the affect is just soooo much better. I know orange is opposite of blue on the color wheel but too much orangey reddish gold copper and ugh it’s just garish and awful on my complexion. Maybe we cool toned ones should be outraged at the lack of inclusivity on our skin tone being represented. (Yes that was a joke.)

*SO* glad cool tones are getting some love. Seems like the focus has been warm, warm, warm. If you are at all familiar with seasonal color theory, I am a classic Winter. That means I look best in cool /jewel tone colors in clothes, accessories, jewelry, and fashion makeup.
@@stacyketner BH Cosmetics has a smallish pallet called Blueberry Muffin. Good quality and consistency and all but three of the 16 smallish pans are suitably cool. Their Supernova pallet is on sale. It is all baked shimmers, 18 of them, with only 4 beingly decidedly warm. Can't tell you how much $$ I have wasted searching for a good cool toned pink! Not sure it exists. ;)

Think Colorpop super shock shadow in Frog, L'oreal 206 Mademoiselle Pink, L'oreal infallible 756 Always Pearly Pink , Bareminerals Cultured Pearl and ULTA Metallic Cream shadow in Pretty in Pink these are all a fair/ light blue pink

At first I was disappointed until seeing the swatches I actually like it more. I do not like faux mattes but at least there are only 4 of those. I do love my Fame it has my favorite wet look metallic formula without the little mica flecks/ shimmery pieces that drive me crazy.
Okay, so I finally just got Making Mauves and found the metallics to be more glittery than I expected or wanted. The Stone Cold Fox metallic swatches look less glittery and more shimmery from here 🧐 - is that true or is this kind of the standard for CP?

Yes, same here. The shimmers are too chunky and very different from the smooth and buttery metallics from previous Colourpop palettes I had fallen in love with. I was so turned down, because the colors are beautiful, but the texture is annoying and has an outrageous amount of fall out.
Well darn. I was hoping for reassurance but it seems like a lot of people share this glitter concern. My CP singles are great and Dream Street has stunning, refined metallics, but I’m thinking the recent palettes are not the same type of formula. 😕

I really appreciate this review. I ordered Bare Necessities and was trying to decide on Stone Cold Fox. I switch back and forth between cool and warm pretty regularly, so while I'm sure I could get away with just Bare Necessities, I was leaning toward getting Stone Cold Fox, too, and this side-by-side comparison was exactly what I was looking for to help me decide. As you noted, there are some near dupes between the two, but I do think there are enough differences to make having both worthwhile for me. I'm never going to need to buy another neutrals palette again!
I was about to get the totally taupe palette when it sold out! I also had the flutter by and making mauves palettes in my cart so I just got this palette instead. Thank you so much for the comparison swatches!

I’ve never tried Colourpop before, but all UA-camrs I watch have never said anything negative about their shadows. On their website today, I found a bundle of the Stone Cold Fox and the Bare Necessities for $48 (usually $34 each!). I couldn’t help myself -even though I have more eyeshadow palettes than I could ever use even if I had 2 heads with 6 eyes each.

First thing I noticed was the ratio of mattes:shimmers. YES. So excited 😁 I love you, person who initially gave the proposition for this palette. We all have that thing we'd love if CP ever did (ok maybe not ALL of us) and this is mine.

My goodness, this is such a gorgeous new palette! I will for sure be picking this up tomorrow, even though I hate giant palettes. I appreciate how the "individual" color stories are grouped by columns. Makes it easier for me since I tend to get overwhelmed by a vast amount of color options in one palette. I literally just ordered the taupe palette and the making mauves palette because together they make my favourite colour scheme for every day, and now colourpop comes out with basicaly that colour scheme in one bigger palette.
I think this is a great edition to the colourpop collection! Bare necessities pulls cool on me anyways, so I definitely won’t be getting this new one, but I’m happy there are more neutral options for everyone :)
I just ordered this. I wanted it from day one. An I tried resisting cause I have 100's of palettes. My favorite makeup item is eyeshadows. But I'm so into the Baroque and grandeur palettes and I just know I'll use this. I love cool tones and you don't often find cool toned palettes done well but I'm so excited to see the swatches on this and I can't wait to dig into this. An I recently picked up some single cream shadows on mercari in all the shades I've been aching for so dang long!! Charlotte Tilbury Marie Antoinette (oyster pearl), CT jean. CT Golden Eclipse and Star Gold, hourglass scattered lights in Burnished. Reflect. Foil, ray and Molton. I'm still trying to get the shade Smoke. So it will be a lot of fun putting it all to use and I got everything unused and for great prices.An I was also able to pick up an bunch of Nudestix blushes I'm just excited to put this esthetic in my head into full action. An I hope it's all is just as pretty as I imagined. I still want Nudestix Bondi Bae. But I can hold off I'm set on makeup for a while. Thank you for your review. I know I'm watching it 6 mths later. I try to only watch reviews when I know I'm buying it or seeing if I want it. Otherwise it's very hard to watch videos on things I want and can't buy. If I didn't already own those, I would be all over this like white on rice. I love my cool tones! I always look like I have pink eye and warm-toned eye shadows, they do not work on me.

(I was too late for That's Taupe; so, I bought it at a rather high price from a highly-rated EBay vendor). I also have the Fame palette. Seeing the comparison swatches made me smack my head! Well, I've been lusting after the Natasha Denona Glam palette, and I guess I wanted to make sure that I can dupe all of the colors. Ugh! Will be able to use the cool toned neutrals with transitions and the odd neutral day. Didn’t pick the taupe palette up, was waiting for enough items to make the free shipping minimum. Well, despite having every comparison palette mentioned, these swatches were so good that I had to pause the video and go order the Stone Cold Fox palette. And who can deny that’s a pretty cool name for a cool palette.

I love cool tones and the Fame palette is one of my most used palettes in my collection. I am extremely tempted by this large palette... I didn't get the That's Taupe, Making Mauves and Going Coconuts so it might actually make sense to get this one. I do absolutely despise those mattes with glitter, though. It's the most useless formula ever, imo. The glitter doesn't really show on the skin anyway and instead just drops all over the face.

Agree with this! Cool doesn't mean gray. It means blue or red leaning. Jewel tones are often cool tones. 💜💜💜

My goodness, this is such a gorgeous new palette! I will for sure be picking this up tomorrow, even though I hate giant palettes. I appreciate how the "individual" color stories are grouped by columns. Makes it easier for me since I tend to get overwhelmed by a vast amount of color options in one palette. Appreciate your hard work before launch day to give us all the info! :)
I literally just ordered the taupe palette and the making mauves palette because together they make my favourite colour scheme for every day, and now colourpop comes out with basicaly that colour scheme in one bigger palette.
I like that you put time and effort to put up video very close to the launch date.

Bare necessities pulls cool on me anyways, so I definitely won’t be getting this new one, but I’m happy there are more neutral options for everyone :)

I just ordered this. I wanted it from day one. An I tried resisting cause I have 100's of palettes. My favorite makeup item is eyeshadows. But I'm so into the Baroque and grandeur palettes and I just know I'll use this. I love cool tones and you don't often find cool toned palettes done well but I'm so excited to see the swatches on this and I can't wait to dig into this. An I recently picked up some single cream shadows on mercari in all the shades I've been aching for so dang long!! Charlotte Tilbury Marie Antoinette (oyster pearl), CT jean. CT Golden Eclipse and Star Gold, hourglass scattered lights in Burnished. Reflect. Foil, ray and Molton. I'm still trying to get the shade Smoke. So it will be a lot of fun putting it all to use and I got everything unused and for great prices.An I was also able to pick up an bunch of Nudestix blushes I'm just excited to put this esthetic in my head into full action. An I hope it's all is just as pretty as I imagined. I still want Nudestix Bondi Bae. But I can hold off I'm set on makeup for a while. Thank you for your review. I know I'm watching it 6 mths later. I try to only watch reviews when I know I'm buying it or seeing if I want it. Otherwise it's very hard to watch videos on things I want and can't buy. I always hated Window shopping with no possibility of buying. Its torture lol So thank you gorgeous! You always do the best reviews!!

I own Fame, Going Coconuts, Making Mauves, and Snake Eyes, so... I already own Stone Cold Fox! Thanks for saving me the money. If I didn't already own those, I would be all over this like white on rice. I love my cool tones! I always look like I have pink eye and warm-toned eye shadows, they do not work on me.
Thanks for this video! I'm so excited, warm shades are beautiful but look really unflattering on me. I'm also super excited that I wanted the taupe palette and hadn't picked it up yet, so now I can just get the stone cold one. Also, bloopers make me so happy.

So gorgeous!! 🤩 I have been begging for this!! So when Natasha Denona put out the Glam palette I bought it immediately. I’ve never even bought Natasha Denona’s brand before. She was the first to make a cool toned neutral palette. Darn it!!! 🤑🤑🤑. I’m so pleased with the quality of my Colourpop Hocus Pocus palette!

Gosh, I wish I saw your video sooner! I ordered Stone Cold Fox, Bare Necessities, That's Taupe, and Making Mauves just yesterday because I wanted to take advantage of the sale. (I was too late for That's Taupe; so, I bought it at a rather high price from a highly-rated EBay vendor). I also have the Fame palette. Seeing the comparison swatches made me smack my head! Well, I've been lusting after the Natasha Denona Glam palette, and I guess I wanted to make sure that I can dupe all of the colors. Ugh! I should have remembered that CP sometimes repeats colors in their palettes. Oh, well, live and learn! ~ Anastacia in Cleveland

Yay! Cool toned lover here. Wasn’t going to pick this up as I usually do cool toned colorful looks but your swatches were magical. Will be able to use the cool toned neutrals with transitions and the odd neutral day. Didn’t pick the taupe palette up, was waiting for enough items to make the free shipping minimum. Thanks to your swatch comparisons, will pass on that and just get this one. It will be nice to have all the cool toned neutral shades in one palette rather than picking through palettes trying to find the right neutral for a look. So excited now for this cool toned palette! I love cool tones and the Fame palette is one of my most used palettes in my collection. I am extremely tempted by this large palette... I didn't get the That's Taupe, Making Mauves and Going Coconuts so it might actually make sense to get this one.
I do absolutely despise those mattes with glitter, though. It's the most useless formula ever, imo. The glitter doesn't really show on the skin anyway and instead just drops all over the face.
