    2:19 the music in the backgrond is the same music that McDonalds used for it's "Angry Birds" advertising campaign. So that makes me question if Vox has the same record license as McDonalds, or This is actually royalty free music and Mcdonalds is too cheap to hire composers.
    Edit: I found it, it's called "ZANY HUMOR" avalible from Upright Music. I sometimes hate being a content producer cause I can never "watch" something anymore. I always end up deconstructing it.

    they are expensive because they are rare end of story, just like on some island iv forgot the name of. pinapple was the most expensive thing super rare and stuff the rich loved it like crazy, but as soon as some people figured out to mass produce pinapple so everyone could get pinapple nobody gave a fk about pinapple no more.

    • @Maurazio

    • @Taffynation
      @Taffynation 8 років тому +29

      He's saying that price is affected by rarity. Once we finally figure out how to mass produce truffles, their prices will plummet and they won't be considered much of a delicacy anymore.

    • @Maurazio
      @Maurazio 8 років тому +3

      I believe they would be a delicacy anyway, because they are delicious. they are a tradition in piedmontese cuisine, which is one of the best in the world imho.

    • @RubSomefastOnIt
      @RubSomefastOnIt 8 років тому +18

      wow this guy is lost... why do you think everyone eats pineapple now? it was rare now its not... he is saying if someone found a way to produce truffles cheaply it would become commonplace and more people would eat it. Its not super expensive because its the best tasting thing in the entirety of human knowlage... taste is subjective. It is expensive because it is hard to get and has an extremely shot shelf life.

    Plan:
    *Win the lottery, about 1 million dollars more or less is needed.*
    *Buy land in France, and build a small house on land so that I can live there.*
    *Proceed to build a relatively large barn, where I'd buy trained pigs to find truffels for me.*
    *Get a couple trained dogs aswell.*
    *Get a large fence around my land, then let the pigs out on a scavenger hunt for truffels.*
    *Go for strolls with dogs, having them find truffels.*
    *Do all this on a regular basis for around 5 years while constantly getting more pigs and expanding land with revenue.*
    *Eventually become a millionare yet again.*
    *Get luck and find oil.*
    *Get oil pumps and begin to distribute the oil.*
    *More money coming in daily.*
    *Eventually get rich enough to buy alot of land in the middle east and get lucky.*
    *Get more oil.*
    *Do this for about 4 years, continuing to expand and find more oil.*
    *Eventually become billionare.*
    *Make a bunch of stores and a clothing line because why not.*
    *End up being one of the worlds richest men.*

    I work with white truffles regularly. Even knowing the scent well, I still play a game with myself. I imagine parmigiano cheese and sniff the truffle grater and I'm overwhelmed with the wonderful thought of eating sharp, tangy cheese. I imagine a laundry basket and I'm repulsed by the horrific odour of a gym sock. So bizarre that the same odour so easily evokes either desire or revulsion so easily.
    If you like some fresh grated real parmigiano on your pasta - you will find some freshly grated white truffle profound.

      I'm from Italy and here you can find some not too expensive restaurants which use it (well, maybe not the best quality though). It's not that easy to describe but it reallt smells a lot and it's completely different from the other fungi. I think you could consider it delicate but at the same time just a bit of it changes the taste of everything.

    • @mokeynam50
      @mokeynam50 7 років тому +6

      I'd like you to cite where MILLIONS of children in first world are just dying for reasons. Personally I think an even more preventable death is one where honor guards are not pulling a trigger on a political dissident who who has a different opinion of the state or entire families that are not worked to death in labor camps because someone in their family said they didn't like who is in charge. Gee you really opened my eyes buddy, I sure wish we have a brave communist revolutionary like pol pot would run the western world.

      I don't think you know what Communism actually is, ∴ I will tell you. Communism is a political belief classified as a Leftist Philosophy, meaning that it advocates for equality of all humans, whereas, in a most basic form, everyone owns and shares everything equally, including the means of production, with an absence of money and tending towards a common progressive goal. However, what you are refering to is Marxist-Leninist Communism, which is everything that was just stated above, except that there is a strong government to help the people who can't help themselves and that the people who work the hardest get extra power. Are these systems exempt from corruption? No (see North Korea, the no-longer-communist state), but neither is your system if not more so, and at least it shows that someone cares more about others than the do to themselves.
      Do you understand?

    • @mokeynam50
      @mokeynam50 7 років тому +6

      What's your point? Thanks for clarifying the unobtainable Utopian Communism to me but I'm seated in the real world and so far all real world examples of Communism are a gang of power hungry jackboots, poor / low populated countries, or bankrupt after it ran out of everyone else's money.
