Cool guide, I got the whale once after watching it. Megalodon I need to practice more. Getting whale 3 times seems really hard atm. But I feel I can get there thanks to this guide!
Also, dont be afraid to hit a mine when youre definetly hitting a fish as well. Hitting fish will override a minehit

The trophy is pretty good but I can't for the life of me get even 1 whale. The fishing mini-game is pretty frustrating unless you cheat in some way.
Not gonna lie it is a grind but its like riding a bike once you get the swing of things its only a matter of time

Watched this video, paused and fullscreened at 3:12 so the numbers lined up with my in-game screen. And on my first attempt I caught the Whale that I've been struggling to catch for over a week now :D

lag and temper. always fucks me up.
ive gotten to 2 whales and some jellyfishes. three times.
yea lag hurts bad if you have lag problem go into a less populate world will reduce the lag a bit!
I finally got the megalodon this video really helped. but i also used the markers you gave and set up some simple macros for 1 through 7 and an extra 5.5 for the trees left foot. what I found doing this is that the bobbers do not hit a singular point. it hits within a small area. and using macros the lag never affected me as the macro went with the lad so there were no inconsistencies. but even with macros I struggled because of the slight randomness of where the bobber could hit. but it only took 3 days with macros so way easier.
yea lag is an issue but with the markers with the power bar makes it least the most consistent without the use of overlay or macros my dude!
Hey if I may ask and you still remember, what kind of macro did you use? ^^
@@Loggern01 well i have logitech so i can change every key on my keyboard so i used my f1 - f12 keys. All i did was use simple macros for hold left click for a set time. I changed them around till i got them spot on with this youtube video. All you need is hold leftclick for 222, 333, Ect. You will need to figure out the rest as i dont have them anymore as i got the trophy for all my fishing characters and then stopped doing the minigames i hate them.

I'm already getting a hang of it by using this brilliant method. it's just frustrating that you have to do it in one go especially on latter part where the fish moves so quick. i really want that trophy but i guess it would take a few more weeks.

for getting megalodon trophy do the 3 streaks have to be back to back perfect or can I mess up? e.i. can I miss while on my second or third "run" for the whale, or am i only allowed to miss the third whale to summon the megalodon.
Yes its works a checkpoint system you have to consecutively catch fish until you catch the first whale then that's a checkpoint you can miss as much as you want and still be considered 1 whale caught but to catch megalodon it has to be done all in one game

My problem is less gauging the distance and more getting it to stop at the right place, it keeps going too long after I let the button go.
could be a possible lag issue try compensating and releasing a little bit earlier
bro i just can't get that megalodon, it's too hard
several times i catched 2 whales but always when i get to the third whale i catch 2-3 more fish and then i miss or i hit a bomb, lava hates me :(

I just use a screen ruler
unfortunately the graph for 1-7 aren't actually perfectly aligned they slightly alter so judging it by a ruler is helpful but doesn't give the true amount what your looking for. Good idea tho!
@@GriffyBitMain I'm not sure why you say it doesn't give the true amount. I use the screenruler from sourceforce, scaled it up according to the length of the minigame UI and put my own markers based on the bobber itself and how close I was to the meter segment borders. Adjust a few times and you've got nearly pixel-perfect markers.

Question: Say I catch my first whale, but then I miss. Does this mean I have to catch the first whale all over again, or does my first whale catch still count towards the megalodon?
yep so checkpoints so if you catch first whale then you miss you still count for 1 whale same with second as well

@@GriffyBitMain with the rest of the calculation involved with the game...it can definitely be so. What purpose could it otherwise serve? The coral dude could have been elsewhere instead of that awkward place. BUT...once you line it up, it makes some sort of sense. I don't think I would have noticed that. I did not see the marks on the meter until the vid so I played without them and have done ok so far, not anywhere near trophy status though. I miss far too much, even with some great luck.
My eyes aren't so good, but I'm not seeing what you're using for the indication that your cast is a 3 or 4 or whatever.
Is there a number somewhere I'm missing?
Yea if eyes aren't the greatest kind of hard to see and no I don't think so all of them should be there number 5 is located on the score board where you high score is that's number 5
