Thanks for the step by step instructions to get my Versa to show my Dexcom g6 readings! I had seen lots of folk say that it could be done, but the didn’t say how to do it! Thanks! It worked the first time I attempted! Excellent how to do video!
I'm finally getting a Dexcom (switching from the Libre) and I just happened to also be looking for a new smart watch. I don't use apple products so this will be perfect for me! Thank you for the thorough instructions, I can't wait to have my blood glucose levels on my wrist😁
Nice video, I bought Ambrosia Nightrider cgm to monitor glucose which works great with my Libre sensor, their alarm feature is very helpful during night, it gives alerts when readings are not in range.
@Type Sassy Diabetic Well I made the decision to go with the Fit Bit Versa2. I use the glance watch face, and the settings allow for the Dexcom log in link, no crazy configurations. I like it and I'm really happy. Ping me and I can show you some pics and "how to" but it's fairly simple. Good luck.
Thanks for the information! I'm looking into getting a Fitbit as I've just gotten Dexcom and would be great to have it for a quick glance instead of pulling my pump or phone out to see what it is.
Its really great to have the numbers on your watch is very helpful. Fitbit and Glance work great but sometimes after a Fitbit software update or IOS update, it stops to work a few days until the developer updates Glance again. Is not very often though.
Hello 👋 Just saw this information by incident. My respect for your great discovery of this option. Our daughter uses Dexcom due to a rare metabolic disease. Questions Would you think that a versa 3 would also work as your experience with versa 2? Furthermore, since we are not Apple fans ... Would you think that either Android Samsung devices could be an option 🤔? Thanks so much for your support and highly appreciate the discovery of compatability of the Fitbit. Best regards and thanks from Germany Khalid
Hi Khalid, Sorry for my late reply. It should work with Versa 3 also. I didn’t make any tests with Andoid but usually Android platform is more flexible than Apple. So my guess is that it will also work. Please do a bit of research before making any new investments.
Does the phone and watch need an internet connection at all times to communicate? As soon as I drive away from home the glance face alarms and will not read. Hard to drive with full attention with watch vibrating. Is there a way to fix or does it need internet 24/7 to work. I was hoping to use it while rowing where there is no internet connection on the lakes.
hi, can we use this watch with the phone we have to use for dexcom g6? Should the phone be with us at all times, or does it receive data from the sensor on our arm?
Hi, everything is going through the phone. Sensor talks to the phone and watch talks to the phone. So the mobile is the gateway, without it nothing is working.
Well I am using my dexcom g6 directly with my smartwatch without any smartphone between. So my smartwatch comunicate directly with my g6 sensor. it is so great
Hi, I need a bit of help. If I am parent and I have set up on my phone to follow my kid dexcom and I now have a versa 2 as well and I want to see the blood levels on the watch as well. Do I have to follow the same steps as you or to I have to connect my app as a follower to the versa2. Thanks
Hi Alina, if you follow all the steps I did it should work. I made the video using an iPhone but I am sure Android shouldn't be much different. The follower is important for Glance clock face to work with Fitbit App. Just add a follower, it doesn't matter if it's you or somebody else.
Hi, I got a fitbit last week. When I set it up on glance using your video as a guide it just gave me a stale data error. when I contacted the dexcom support line they said that this watch was no longer compatible. Does anyone else have this problem?
With the fitbit you cannot see the CGM data at all in workout mode. The watch is locked to the workout display. Most important time you want to see the data it's not there.
I have followed every instruction on glance and dexcom g6... it DOES NOT WORK! Straight from dexcom they said only 2 watches work... Google Pixel and Wear OS... please prove me wrong because I have bought two versa's and two versa 2's.... nothing but a time teller... no CGM at all!
It does as long as you are within the bluetooth range. This may vary, it depends how many walls you have in between. For me for instance I can have my phone upstairs in the house and get readings in the garden. As long as the room is on the side of my garden is fine, if I move it on the other side I lose connection.
Thank you for this video! You are the 1st person to mention that I can't use special characters! I am now up and running!

Excellent how to do video!
Just added the Glance clockface to Fitbit Sense and it appears to be working as expected. Thanks for the tutorial video.

Hi Morgan, I am sure you will love your Fitbit, I love it!
Nice video, I bought Ambrosia Nightrider cgm to monitor glucose which works great with my Libre sensor, their alarm feature is very helpful during night, it gives alerts when readings are not in range.
Thanks so much for the info!! I just bought one of these versa 2 and it works great with your instructions! Great video
Thanks
Thank you. Works just fine.
Thanks for the info it was so easy to set up
Great vid thanks, I'm going to do some research regarding connectivity via Android device. I hope that it's as easy. Thank you again.

Thank you for that! It worked out so well!
Hi - nice video - do you know of any way to have the Glance watchface always on?
Thanks for the information. Does this work on the Versa 3 as well?
Hi, never tried on Versa 3, I am sorry. Try all the steps and see if its working. There is a good chance to work.
Thank you. It was so easy.
Is Apple watch series 7 is coming with blood glucose monitor

Hello. This is so useful, thanks. I am about to buy a versa but I cannot decide between versa 2 or versa 3. Will the dexcom G6 work with the Versa 3?
Hi, it works with both of them as long as you will use Glance face or any other clock face which is able to communicate with Dexcom G6.
● Does it require any Patch attached with the body?
● Does it tell us the Time as well?

Nice! Does it work with iPhones? Or can you only use apple watches then?
Yes it does. In the video I use it together with iPhone 8.
I followed the video and it works with IPhone 11 promax

Hi, everything is going through the phone. Sensor talks to the phone and watch talks to the phone. So the mobile is the gateway, without it nothing is working.
Can i still connect the fitbit clock face if I don't use the Dexcom G6 app? I use the Dexcom G6 receiver device.
You need the app, without the app is not possible I guess. If you have a smartphone you can install the app and forget about the receiver.
Well I am using my dexcom g6 directly with my smartwatch without any smartphone between. So my smartwatch comunicate directly with my g6 sensor. it is so great
What smartwatch you use ?
@@rodeodaraban Kospet Optimus 2
can you leave your phone at home and still be able to see your bg on the Fitbit without your phone near?
Hello
No you can’t. The watch is connecting to your mobile phone, can’t connect to the Dexcom device directly.
@@diabeteslifestyle2817 is there any way to use any type of watch that will work away from your phone to still see you bg?
If i may ask how does it measure the blood sugar
does Dexcom need a transmitter for it to work because whilst I was setting my dexcom app, it said to use a transmitter.
Unfortunately the Dexcom app works only with a limited mobile brands. That's a pity.

What model of Fitbit do you have?
Hi, Can you set the Fitbit to vibrate when you go low or high?
Hi, yes you can set up alarms for high or low. Thats useful if you don’t keep the phone next to you.
nothing is happening when i am changing my clock from 12h to 24h clock on the glucos app :(
With the fitbit you cannot see the CGM data at all in workout mode. The watch is locked to the workout display. Most important time you want to see the data it's not there.
I might add if you just want to see the CGM and dont workout it's a good choice. The cgm display is nice and usually working.
Does it cost to add dexcom to the Fitbit app?
No its free.
It should work, mine works just fine.
‼️👎🤔Die Funktion Diabetes ist in Deutschland nicht verfügbar und auch nicht Kompatibel mit Android Version 11
Does this work for Versa 1 too?
Yes it does!
Can this work while your away from your phone?
It does as long as you are within the bluetooth range. This may vary, it depends how many walls you have in between. Sound very low
