I went to the movie and literally changed my life in so many ways. I work for a retail store. And I constantly see children wondering away from there parents and their families. I also stopped a child from running out of the door of the store. And asked her to take me to your parents. She did. And literally gave her parents a death glare and told them to please buy attention to their children. Went to the bathroom and cried my eyes out. I will never forget this moment.

I watched this film with my teenagers. They were blown away, I thought I knew enough about the situation, but I was so wrong. I only met one guy who was sexually abused as a child and man it was very tough to talk to him sometimes. I can only imagine what life is like for the victim of a horrific crime. This is so wrong! Being silent about this issue is so wrong! Turning a blind eye is so wrong! America is the biggest consumer of child porn and child sex trafficking. We need to alert the rest of this country! We have to talk to our friends, coworkers, and anyone who will listen. I encouraged my coworkers to see the film. I’ve been following Tim and Jim ever since. This is just mind blowing!

We need training classes around OUR country for people to know what to look for, who to contact and how to get more involved. We cannot just walk away after seeing the movie and going back to our complacent lives while the evil grows and they take us down with their evil global order. I started attending a small church and talking about this movie. Even my (church or not) friends on the west coast aren't even interested. It's like so many want to bury their heads in the sand and not look at it. I got a family member said what can I do about it? I think that that's the mentality of too many people. Even the leaders at church went to see Indiana Jones instead. It makes me wonder how many people see Sound of Freedom and don't know what to do so they will go back to sleep and their lives while the evil grows until eventually all are enslaved or killed one way or another. That is just one of the reasons I believe Operation Underground Railroad needs training courses across the country. I printed out some details about this movie and what is going on in the country and strategically left them in public places. I will continue to do this but it isn't enough until people in this country have the open door of training, awareness and will to put an end to it. The message at the end of the movie after the credits was so powerful and heartfelt! I'm glad they added it....made an imprint on my heart for these precious, innocent children! As a nurse who worked in Juvenile Hall, I personally saw the effects the kid went through after being raped, physically and mentally abused! Breaks your heart! Ms. Sorvino was correct about the 13-17 year old pimps who actively try to recruit young girls to sell themselves into sexual slavery. Many of them....the pimps/enforcers have been abused themselves. I agree with you - the biggest sins of many American believers is COMPLACENCY. This is something God hates. He gave us believers the command to love our neighbors, help the orphans and the widows, but people just sit home and watch hollywood movies and hang out all day, discussing issues but doing nothing about it. What a profound interview. Mira is so well spoken, educated and compassionate about her role in helping eliminate trafficking from our world. The film is indeed inspiring and also healing for all those who’ve been faced with any kind of sexual assault. It may open those wounds but also help encourage speaking about them and standing up for others, especially children who’ve been targeted.

@@undead9999the death penalty does prevent murders. A murderer WILL travel to a state without the DP to commit murder. The states like California need to IMPLEMENT justice instead of people sitting on DRow for 20+ years. Same in all of our states. No one should sit on DR more than a year or two. The appeals process gives them years. They need to change that.

@catherinegrace2366 I've got many problems with death penalty as a concept. I personally am torn on this. On the one hand I understand the reasoning behind it. Removing a dangerous criminal from the picture for good. On the other hand I can't stop thinking "what about judicial errors?" How many innocents were executed fue to sloppy police work? And you're proposing to shorten the appeal window, which would exacerbate the problem.

In 2009, Emma Thompson put together a traveling art exhibit called “The Journey” that used seven shipping containers to tell the true stories of survivors of sexual slavery. The exhibit shows the real, vivid horrors of sex trafficking, and was brought all over the world to show people what this was like. Thompson has also done PSA’s against trafficking, as well as being the executive producer of the movie Sold (2014) that was part of the London Indian Film Festival. It’s based on the book by Patricia McCormick about a 13-year-old Nepalese girl being trafficked into India to be a sex slave.

In 2016, the actress, speaker, and reality star kicked off a Celebs Against Human Trafficking Initiative event with a lot of other celebrities focusing specifically on the human trafficking that’s going on in their own city, Atlanta.
Celebs Against Human Trafficking is a monthly gathering that’s hosted by a celebrity or influencer to raise awareness about this massive problem. Stephens’s job is to get other celebrities involved in this event, and she’s amped up other stars to take notice and do their part to end sexual slavery

A couple of years ago, the actress, activist, and mother of two spoke of the importance of eradicating sexual exploitation of children at the Variety magazine’s Power of Women event in New York City. I was born and raised in Hollywood, California and I can assure you that it’s a pedophile playground in a concrete jungle! I was terrified just getting back and forth from my house to my school, because there’s so many disgusting predators driving around the streets of Los Angeles, but especially in Hollywood. The name Hollywood is from the Holly tree that’s specifically used for carving magic wands and other paraphernalia used for dark magic, casting spells and all types of spiritism. That’s why they named the city Hollywood! Most of the very wealthiest, famous people are all Luciferian and demonic and they’re required to participate in specific rituals to keep their fame and fortune. It would have broken my heart to have lost Romy to the mob. EDIT: I agree - what we noticed right off the bat was how well acted the film is, and how beautiful the cinematography is. The DP was superb. The cast is stellar. We saw it, bought additional tickets for others, and I will own it when it comes out of physical media.

I have just watched this through a streaming platform. I am in the UK. This brought me to tears. I saw something similar to this in a documentary months ago but I think it was in thialand. It's absolutely shocking people don't realise it is going on, on your doorsteps in your next town. I remember it was on our local news a few years back, that a child had been snatched in broad daylight from a busy seaside resort which is local to me by a white van, then there was a spat of a eastrn European woman and a guy trying to snatch kids in the same area. Police said it was an organized crime ring. That kid was never found. I am terrified what is it going to take to stop this evil. I burst into tears uncontrollably at the end of the relief they where saved, but I just wish he didn't leave the others behind that was heartbreaking for me to watch. No child should experience any sort of SA trauma never mind trafficking full stop. The sickos and pervs who do this there is a place in hell for them and before they get there they should be punished for what they have done. Death penalty no ifs or buts. Crimes against children punishment death!!!!

They arrested a lot of those people & saved 120 more children, if I recall correctly.
Tim Ballard said they went back and rescued about 100 more kids. We only saw the beginning of the operation. He did not forget them.

My heartbreaks knowing that in some places mothers are actually selling their children to these people and actually committing these horrific crimes themselves due to poverty.
