Having been on a set and in multiple teams of people with different skills, I found the point about "not knowing about the crew's jobs" is very assumptive. There are people who willingly do not know what those other positions are because they need that ignorance of "they're doing it wrong" because you want to be so helpful. I'm not one of those people, I do know what other people on the crew or team do and have a dunning-krueger level of knowledge about their role, but that's because I learned to control my impulse to try to do it for them, even in my head. So there are reasons people focus solely on their craft and I do understand those people.
